It was first performed on 1 July 2021, at the 'Incontri col Contemporaneo' concert, by Cultura e Musica and PugliaSoundsPlus
at the Auditorium Laboratorio Urbano GOS, Barletta.

For chamber ensemble (flute doubling piccolo, oboe, clarinet in Bb doubling soprano clarinet in Eb and bass clarinet in Bb, violin, viola, cello) duration 6 minutes. This piece was commissioned by Dartington Summer School with funds from the Jo Johnson Award, and was first performed in 1998 by the Composers' Ensemble. It was first published by New Voices BMIC and remains part of their collection
Rainbow serpent
For orchestra, duration 7 minutes. This work was premiered by the BBC Philharmonic conducted by James Macmillan at the 2002 Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and in Europe. It was first published by BMIC New Voices and remains a part of their collection
Sleep on
Three lullabies for cello and piano: 1. Berceuse: 2. Refrain; 3. Lullaby. Duration 15 minutes. This piece was premiered on 31 July 1992 by Alexander Baillie (cello) and Martin Roscoe (piano) at All Saints Church, King's Lynn.

Kai
For solo cello and ensemble, duration 20 minutes. This work was composed in memory of Kai Scheffler, principal cellist and a founder member of the Ensemble Modern in Germany. It was written for the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group as 'Composer in Association with the CBSO', with funds provided by the Radcliffe Trust. The premiere was given on 18 December 1990 by Ulrich Heinen (cello) and the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group conducted by Simon Rattle at Adrian Boult Hall.

For chamber ensemble, duration 13 minutes. This work was commissioned by the London Sinfonietta with funds provided by the Arts Council of Great Britain. It was premiered on 4 February 1986 by the London Sinfonietta conducted by Diego Masson at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London.
