    No full text
The final thesis is devoted to practically focused geometry tasks for teaching in a small-class elementary school, specifically in a class for 2nd and 3rd grade. The aim of the thesis is to create tasks based on the practical experience of students, to propose activities related to their solution and to apply their scenarios in teaching a specific class group, while respecting its heterogeneity and various individual possibilities and needs of its students. The theoretical basis of the thesis is current knowledge of general and subject-specific didactics related to the chosen topic. Specifically, let us mention, for example, the works of František Kuřina, Milan Hejný, Nadi Vondrová, the theoretical framework of geometry teaching based on Van Hiele's model of geometric thinking, etc. The core part of the thesis content is made up of a set of specific tasks and activities, implemented and, if possible, tested in a school environment. An integral part of the presentation of tasks and activities related to them are accompanying methodological sheets that offer a possible procedure for their implementation. The work thus addresses other teachers as a source of specific instructions for activities in the corresponding class group, as well as a source of inspiration for the creation of other activities. The intention of the work is also fulfilled by presenting specific examples of how geometry can be taught in a small-class school in an entertaining and meaningful way, while fulfilling the given educational and upbringing goals

Changes of the height and duration of snow cover from 1961 to 1991 and from 1991 to 2021 in Šumava

    No full text
Climate change affects everyone's daily processes and activities. Among many other impacts, it also influences snow cover. Due to climate change, the height of the snow cover is decreasing, and the duration for which snow remains on the surface is also affected. Changes in snow dynamics influence hydrological processes, ecosystems, and socio-economic activities such as winter tourism. Therefore, this bachelor's thesis examines changes in the height and duration of snow cover at selected stations in the Šumava region from 1961 to 1991 and from 1991 to 2021. Changes in snow cover height are analysed based on average values from five-year and thirty-year winter periods for individual stations, while changes in the duration of snow cover are analysed based on average values for tenyear periods for all stations combined

The Effectiveness of Energy Balance Modification in The Treatment of Secondary Hypothalamic Amenorrhea

    No full text
This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of secondary hypothalamic amenorrhea (SHA), specifically on the role of energy balance and availability in its onset and subsequent treatment. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the lifestyle of women suffering from SHA, identify key factors influencing energy availability, and assess the effect of changes in energy balance on the restoration of the menstrual cycle. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the anatomy of the female reproductive system, hormonal regulation of the menstrual cycle, and the importance of energy balance in the context of functional reproductive disorders. The practical part presents qualitative research in the form of a case study analysis of ten women diagnosed with SHA. For each participant, initial values of body composition (measured by bioelectrical impedance analysis using the InBody device), energy availability, and dietary intake at the time of menstrual loss were recorded. After a certain period of time, follow-up assessments were conducted, and the restoration of the menstrual cycle was monitored. The results showed that low energy availability was a common factor in all cases of SHA. In most women who changed their energy availabilityeither by increasing energy intake and/or reducing energy expendituremenstrual function was restored. The findings confirm the importance of adjusting energy balance as a key part of non-pharmacological treatment of SHA and highlight the need for an interdisciplinary approach in the care of women with this condition

Use of Social Work in the Army of the Czech Republic

    No full text
This master thesis focuses on the use of social work in the Army of the Czech Republic (ACR), with an emphasis on support for military personnel and their families. The theoretical part presents the historical development, the legislative framework, and the specific characteristics of social work in the military environment, including interdisciplinary cooperation and international inspiration. Special attention is paid to psychosocial support for soldiers, crisis intervention, reintegration into civilian life, and emerging challenges such as digitalization and new types of threats. The practical part of the thesis is based on qualitative research conducted through semi-structured interviews with four social workers operating within the Army of the Czech Republic. The results show that social work in the military plays an irreplaceable role, particularly in areas such as individual counselling, crisis intervention, and work with family systems. The communication partners identified key issues, including a shortage of professional staff, high administrative workload, and low awareness among military personnel about the available social support. The research confirmed the need to strengthen preventive programs, systematically educate commanding officers, and improve the connection between military and civilian social services. The thesis presents suggestions for improving the system, which may contribute to enhancing the army's operational readiness and the overall stability of the military environment. The conclusions of this thesis may serve as a basis for further professional discussion on the institutional anchoring of social work within the armed forces of the Czech Republic
