    No full text
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the use of barefoot shoes in the physiotherapy of hallux halgus. Hallux valgus is one of the most common static foot deformities, which can significantly affect postural stability and an individual's quality of life. The aim of this thesis was to conduct a literature review of available resources, to design an effective exercise program for hallux valgus therapy, and to evaluate the impact of barefoot shoes on the course of conservative treatment. The research sample consisted of 9 female participants, who were divided into three groups based on the type of intervention: exercise only, exercise combined with barefoot shoes, and barefoot shoes only. Each participant underwent initial and final assessments. The outcomes were monitored over a period of three months using kinesiological examination, the Navicular Drop test, hallux valgus angle assessment, and functional stability tests (Jack test, Romberg test, and tandem stance). Depending on the group, the therapies included wearing barefoot shoes, performing the hallux valgus exercise program, and following an individualized therapeutic plan. The results indicate that the combination of targeted exercise and barefoot shoes led to the most significant improvement in both functional foot stability and reduction of the hallux valgus angle. Wearing barefoot shoes alone resulted in improvement as well, although to a lesser extent. The findings confirm that barefoot footwear can positively influence foot function, but its effect is limited without active physiotherapy. In conclusion, conservative therapy for hallux valgus is most effective when physiotherapeutic intervention is combined with appropriate footwear. The results of this thesis may serve as a foundation for clinical practice and further research

No full text
The topic of my master thesis is The role of the nurse in providing nursing care to a patient with state-of-the-art treatment of subarachnoid haemorrhage. The main aim of the study was to map the knowledge of nurses about the most modern methods of treatment of subarachnoid haemorrhage, to describe the specific nursing care of patients with the most modern methods of treatment of subarachnoid haemorrhage and to find out the possibilities of further education of nurses providing specific nursing care to patients with subarachnoid haemorrhage. In order to meet the above objectives, we have chosen the following research questions. What knowledge do nurses have about the latest methods of treating subarachnoid haemorrhage? What are the specifics of nursing care of the patient with the most advanced methods of treatment of subarachnoid hemorrhage? What are the opportunities for further education of nurses providing specific nursing care to patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage? The empirical investigation was conducted through qualitative research, specifically through semi-structured interviews. The research sample consisted of 15 respondents. The selected respondents were nurses working in neurosurgical intensive care units who, among other things, care for patients with subarachnoid haemorrhage. On the basis of the research investigation, we found that nurses have some theoretical knowledge about the issue of subarachnoid haemorrhage. The level of knowledge varies not only with the length of practice and their own interest in the subject, but also with which patients nurses encounter more frequently. Through the research investigation, we also learned various specifics of nursing care. Nurses mainly focus on monitoring physiological functions, as well as on the state of consciousness and pupils, limb mobility or strict resting regime. The introduction of ventricular or lumbar drainage and the use of the IRRAflow catheter were also important specifics. The findings also revealed that nurses have maximum support for enriching and adding new knowledge and experience and are provided with plenty of opportunities for lifelong learning
