    Topological optimization in technical practice

    This bachelor's thesis focuses on the design and optimization of a hexacopter frame using topological optimization, followed by preparation for additive manufacturing. The optimized model was adapted for three different 3D printing technologies, FDM, SLS, and SLA, and verification simulations of mechanical properties were performed for the optimized frame using the selected material. The results were complemented by an economic evaluation including material costs, printer operating expenses, and production time. The thesis provides a comparison of the selected technologies in terms of their suitability for structural applications in the field of unmanned aerial systems

    This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the comparison of two main squares – Masaryk Square in Ostrava and Svobody Square in Brno. It explores the significance of public space from legislative, functional, and user-oriented perspectives. The thesis further examines squares as a specific type of public space, including their functions, spatial configurations, and the activities that take place within them. The two squares are then compared in the context of broader urban structures, transport accessibility, functional use, and the quality of stay. Special attention is given to the historical development of the cities, differences in urban form, and the influence of city-wide relations. The spatial analysis addresses the current condition of the squares, their level of enclosure, dominant features, street furniture, greenery, and usage. Based on the findings, the thesis proposes interventions that respond to identified shortcomings while drawing inspiration from well-functioning elements of the other square. The aim of the proposed measures is to enhance the quality of stay and the overall public space experience in both squares

    The aim of the proposed thesis is to test different free and open-sourced libraries for Modbus RTU on a simple test unit comprising a singular ESP32 client and two server units using low power Atmega chipsets. The aim of the thesis is to look at standardized baud rates over different libraries to determine the limits of both the protocol data transmission and read speeds to determine if it is the hardware or software that significantly can alter the behavior of the proposal. The initial assumption is that the low memory capabilities of Atmega pose a significant limitation if in such case the Modbus protocol functions with more than two units

    Automatic optimization of neural networks for resilience against adversial attacks

    Convolutional neural networks represent a key component in the field of computer vision. Despite all the progress in this area, they are still susceptible to deception by adversarial attacks (intentionally modified data), which aims to confuse models, yet these changes are often invisible to humans. This thesis explores improving the robustness and optimizing the performance of neural networks through automatic optimization. It utilizes the NSGA-II evolutionary algorithm, quantization-aware training, and adversarial training. The system was tested on ResNet architectures using the Cifar-10 dataset and a subset of the ImageNet dataset. Experiments demonstrated that quantization alone does not guarantee robustness, but optimized configurations can be found that maintain comparable accuracy on both adversarial and original data to a uniformly quantized 8-bit network, yet with a size reduction of up to 50 %. Lower bit-widths may also reduce the effectiveness of some attacks, suggesting a certain form of robustness and the possibility of transferring resilience against other types of attacks as well

    The thesis describes the design of individual courses focused on the fundamentals of crisis intervention, chat-based crisis intervention, comprehensive crisis intervention, and psychological first aid. Emphasis was placed on the practical nature of the training, the use of simulation methods, and securing accreditation of the courses by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MPSV). The work also includes the design of an implementation plan, a marketing strategy, and an optimization process based on the collection and analysis of feedback. The result of the thesis is the creation of a comprehensive proposal for the educational center, which strengthens the expert position of the Nepanikař brand in the field of mental health and crisis intervention. The project contributes to increasing the availability of high-quality education in crisis support, promotes the professional development of specialists, and supports the destigmatization of mental illnesses in society

    Radio Propagation Models for 5G-IoT Communication Technologies

    The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the comparison and optimization of selected propaga- tion models in the context of NB-IoT (Narrowband Internet of Things) and LTE Cat-M technologies. Theoretical values of the RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power) param- eter are compared with real-world measurements collected in the urban environment of Brno. For the comparison, the propagation models Okumura-Hata, COST 231 Hata, and Ericsson 9999 were used. Based on the analysis of differences between theoretical and measured values, correction factors were proposed to improve prediction accuracy. The thesis includes a software implementation in the MATLAB environment, which contains scripts for calculation, processing, and visualization of data. The results are presented in the form of graphs, map outputs, and statistical overviews, offering a comprehensive view of radio signal propagation in various locations and conditions

    This work discusses the design of an application for tracking a figure in an image and comparing its left and right sides based on the central axis. This application can be used, for example, to compare the range of motion of limbs. The initial part of the work covers the methods used for detecting the figure in the image. Subsequently, it examines the necessary image adjustments to optimize detection and evaluates potential inaccuracies in the results. Also, conditions required for the best performance and results of the program, as well as explaining the issues that arise when these conditions are not met. The last section of this document focuses on implementation of devised application for video processing. The conclusion discusses achieved results and potential future innovations to enhance the program's evaluation capabilities

The study is based on the principles of sustainable development, taking into account the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of planning. The analytical part includes multi-criteria analyses, problem maps, and an evaluation of the town’s strengths and weaknesses. The design section concentrates on the revitalization of unused and degraded areas, the completion of the urban structure through block development, the enhancement of public spaces, and the active use of the Jihlava River waterfront. The work also presents solutions for transport infrastructure, focusing on calming the town center and promoting pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The proposal is developed as a comprehensive documentation, including design drawings, spatial diagrams, and a physical model of the area
