    Creating of Demonstrational Tasks for Lego Mindstorms and Robotics Operating System

    This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a set of demonstration tasks for Lego Mindstorms NXT and EV3. Using Python programming language, a set of programs was developed that performs controlled robot movement, random movement around a room and line following. A special spatial mapping program was implemented on top of ROS. The contribution of this work is to demonstrate that even with Lego robots, it is possible to create complex programs with one's preferred programming language

    Development and testing of a broad beam ion source

    The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design a broad-beam ion source that can be in- tegrated into the chamber of a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The work focuses on analysing and optimising the source parameters using dedicated simulation software. Based on the simulation results, a prototype will be fabricated and subsequently tested for beam stability, current density and homogeneity. The optimised source is expected to extend the capabilities of the SEM—most notably by enabling in-situ cleaning of samples directly inside the chamber. The ion source is being developed specifically for surface modifications within the electron microscope, primarily for removing thin contamination layers. To avoid dama- ging sensitive specimens, a broad beam with low current density is required. The chosen solution is an ALIS-type ion source operated in a regime of low discharge current and high discharge voltage, which produces a modest ion flux while delivering high kinetic energy

    Dynamic parameters identification of DeltaBot

    This bachelor's thesis focuses on the design of the mechanical structure of a delta robot using SolidWorks software. The main emphasis is placed on the selection of a suitable stepper motor and the optimization of mechanical components in terms of material and functionality. The thesis also includes a detailed specification of the designed parts of the robot. As part of the work, measurements were carried out using an accelerometer to identify the robot's dynamic parameters. Measured values included acceleration, velocity, and the number of gripping and placing cycles. Based on the processed data, the resonant frequency of the robot was also determined, which is essential for potential optimization of motion and motor control. In the final part of the thesis, the actual torque characteristic of the stepper motor used in the delta robot was measured experimentally. These data serve to verify the motor’s suitability for the given application

    Revitalisation of the Historical Core of Hostěradice

    The thesis deals with the restoration of the Renaissance Town Hall and the appropriate addition of buildings on the remaining part of the site. The subject of the thesis was the revitalization of the historical core of the village Hostěradice – architectural-urban design of the Hostěradice square and the elaboration of an architectural study of the monumental restoration of the town hall building, located on the square, and the design of the adjacent buildings, enclosing the whole area of the town hall. The design seeks to create a harmonious environment where historical values are combined with the requirements of contemporary life. The new layout of the square promotes social life and restores the square to its original importance as the natural centre of the village. The solution seeks to channel traffic appropriately and create conditions for daily gatherings of residents. The Renaissance Town Hall, which is a prominent feature of the square, becomes the living heart of the village in the design - it is transformed into a multifunctional centre of community activity with a café, community hall, library, accommodation and other spaces for cultural and community activities. The restoration seeks to highlight the original Renaissance features and adapt the building to contemporary needs. The proposed new building with communal flats and a gym complements the urban structure of the site. It respects the character of the local built environment and is a natural link to the growing village development

    Práce obsahuje přehled problému obchodního cestujícího a mnoha z jeho variant. Zejména se zabývá obarevným problémem obchodního cestujícího -- variantě vícenásobného TSP, která zavádí další omezení na to, které město může být navštíveno kterým obchodníkem. Dále je čtenář seznámen s některými exaktním a heuristickými algoritmy, které byly v minulosti použity k řešení TSP. Práce se blíže věnuje optimalizaci mravenčí kolonií a způsobům, kterými umožňuje řešit mTSP. Podrobně jsou zkoumány metody, které se zaměřují na vyvažování rozdělení práce mezi více obchodníků. Dále se práce zabývá známými varianami mravenčích algoritmů, například MMAS nebo ACS. Práce se dále věnuje využití ACO pro řešení CTSP při balancovaném rozdělení práce mezi více obchodníků. Navržený algoritmus je implementován a otestován na různých datových sadách. Jsou zkoumány dva různé přístupy ke konstrukci řešení. Dosažená řešení jsou srovnatelná s těmi, které byly nalezeny jinými algoritmy. Práce obsahuje souhrn výsledků experimentů a grafy několika z nalezených řešení

    When we talk about architecture and nature, we often think of buildings covered with pop trees, green roofs, green terraces or balconies. Other times we think of imitations of natural forms in the form of organic structures. Perhaps architecture should not just imitate nature. Maybe it shouldn't just incorporate it as an act of some utopian ideal. We usually see the insertion of nature into the human environment in an idealized form, as beautiful trees, grass and shrubs that create a nice environment for people. But we often forget that nature is not beautiful, it is wild and does what it wants. Nobody wants dirt, dust, mould, mice or bugs in their home - yet that is the nature of nature. The site for this work is located right on the border between man and nature. The aim of this work is to design an architecture where degradation and natural influences are not perceived as a negative phenomenon, but as a process. I am interested in an architecture that blends with its environment over time. An architecture that takes into account the external transformation of nature and uses it to shape itself. Not as something that architecture should prevent, but as a process that is a natural part of it

    This bachelor's thesis examines customer purchasing behavior in an e-commerce store specializing in cycling equipment. The research aims to analyze the company's current situation using statistical methods, with results being utilized to predict customer behavior and design optimized marketing strategies focused on targeted advertising. The research included shopping cart analysis, cluster analysis, and tracking of subsequent purchases using SQL queries and Python. Through cluster analysis, five main customer segments were identified. Based on these results, marketing strategies were developed for targeting different groups, including cross-selling, up-selling, and personalized communication approaches. The thesis also includes an implementation plan with four phases for executing marketing strategies. The findings provide a foundation for developing data-driven marketing processes aimed at increasing customer retention, average purchase value, and overall e-commerce turnover

    This bachelor thesis presents a methodology for observing the variability of the spinal axis in the frontal plane in relation to the variability of foot parameters on the pressure platform in floorball players. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the anatomy of selected parts of the human body, muscle chains according to Myers and the measurement technology using the DIERS instrument. The practical part includes the characteristics of the measured group, a case study of the selected proband and a discussion of the measured values

    Noise in technical systems

    This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of noise, focusing on its impact on the quality of measured signals and methods of its suppression. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the fundamental characteristics of noise and it also describes the main sources of noise in technical systems, such as thermal noise, shott noise, flicker noise, electromagnetic interference, quantization noise, and clock jitter. Furthermore, the thesis presents an overview of classical and advanced methods for preventing and eliminating noise, including analog and digital filtering, oversampling, dithering, noise shaping, and the use of wavelet transform. The practical part analyzes signals from piezoelectric sensors installed on a railway track. Through time-domain and frequency-domain analysis of these signals, it identifies the dominant noise components and evaluates their quality by determining the signal-to-noise ratio. Subsequently, selected digital signal processing methods are applied to the measured data to reduce noise, specifically digital filtering and wavelet coefficient thresholding. Using these techniques effectively suppressed the noise and significantly improved the signal-to-noise ratio of the signals

In addition, the thesis deals with the OpenGL graphics interface and the creation of a simple graphical application using this interface. The outcome of the thesis is an application designed to visualize the geometric principle of homogeneous coordinates. The application was implemented using the C++ programming language in combination with the OpenGL library, ImGui, and several other libraries, without which the application could not have been developed
