Forced migrations from Republika Srpska during the civil war 1991-1996, the specific case of Kozluk
No full textThe thesis deals with forced migrations in Republika Srpska during the civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992-1996, with emphasis on the municipality of Kozluk in the Podrinje region. The thesis analyses the causes, course and consequences of the forced displacement of the inhabitants of this area and their return after the end of the war. The work takes into account the ethno-demographic development of the area before and after the war, and analyses the attitudes of the international community towards forced migration. The key part of the thesis is a case study of the village of Kozluk, based on qualitative research through semi-structured interviews with witnesses. Particular attention is paid to the role of Fadil Banjanović, who made a significant contribution to ensuring the safe transport of residents during the war, and especially to the return of residents after 1996. The aim of the thesis is to assess the success of the returns and to identify the factors that influenced the refugees' decision to return, including the obstacles and motivations associated with post-war reconstruction. Addictologist - healthcare worker: the specifics of their position in social services
No full textAJ: Addictologist - Healthcare Worker: The Specifics of Their Position in Social Services ABSTRACT Background: According to the legislation, an addiction specialist is a health worker prepared for work in the health sector and outside of it. However, the nature of addiction services is regulated by various departmental laws and influenced by various strategic, conceptual and systemic frameworks that are set in individual departments. The disconnection of health and social services forms a barrier in the way of verifying the quality and the binding of services to various legislative frameworks, in the financing of addiction services and the job position of an addiction specialist. Available research shows that the majority of addiction services are registered only as a social service, and the job position of an addiction specialist differs greatly due to the legislative regulations that govern these services. It is necessary to point out the importance of anchoring the identity of the addictologist as a health worker in addiction social services. Objective: The main objective of the work is to identify the specifics of the position of an addictologist as a health worker in addiction services that fulfill the status of a social service. Adaptation Process of Social Workers in Patient Organizations
No full textThe aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the process of adaptation of social workers in patient organizations. The thesis deals with the basic characteristics of non-profit organizations, their typology, the specifics of their personnel management and the common form of non-profit organizations, which are patient organizations. Attention is also paid to social workers in patient organizations, their competences and the work of social workers in the context of care for patients outside health care institutions is also specified. In the next part of the thesis, the process of adaptation of social workers in patient organisations is characterised in terms of its forms, phases, tools, factors and methods, including the key actors influencing this process. The thesis includes a qualitative investigation conducted through semi-structured interviews with social workers or social work managers who are involved in the process of adaptation of social workers in a selected patient organization based in Prague. The aim of the empirical investigation is to analyse the form of the process of adaptation of social workers in the selected patient organisations, i.e. its implementation, course, methods and tools. Artificial Intelligence techniques for searching paths and cycles in hypercubes
No full textIn this thesis we study Hamilton paths and cycles in hypercubes. We prove that any matching spanning at most five directions in an n-dimensional hypercube can be extended to a Hamilton cycle, and characterize when such matchings extend to Hamilton paths between specified vertices of opposite parity. Our proofs combine theoretical frameworks with computer-assisted verification using SAT solvers and the MathCheck methodology to establish base cases for n = 5. Furthemore, we explore Hamilton paths in hypercubes with specific properties and compare various SAT encodings for finding such paths
The standing of principles of law in the legal philosophy of H. L. A. Hart, Ronald Dworkin and Gustav Radbruch
No full textIn my bachelor's thesis, I will focus on legal principles and their role in the philosophy of law, specifically within the frameworks of legal positivism, legal interpretivism, and non- positivismu. Each of these approaches will be presented through the lens of a prominent author. For legal positivism, I will examine H. L. A. Hart and his book The Concept of Law. For legal interpretivism, I will analyze Ronald Dworkin and his book Law's Empire. For non-positivism I will consider Gustav Radbruch and his famous formula first unveiled in his essay Statutory Lawlessness and Supra-Statutory Law. I will analyze how these theories conceptualize and utilize legal principles, exploring the functions these principles serve within each framework. Specifically, I will investigate whether legal principles play a significant role in the system as a whole or whether they recede into the background. Subsequently, I will compare the advantages and disadvantages of these various approaches and contrast them with my own understanding of legal principles
Neural signalling pathways regulation at protein level
No full textNeurodegenerative diseases are incurable disorders associated with the loss of cells in the central nervous system. The neural cell loss severely affects brain functions which ultimately results in a patient's death. Cell-based therapy using neural stem cells represents a promising strategy. These neural stem cells are expected to stimulate the regeneration of damaged tissue either by protein secretion or through the direct replacement by cells that differentiate into neurons or glial cells upon transplantation. However, current protocols for neural stem cell differentiation yield heterogeneous cell populations so a better understanding of regulatory mechanisms is required. It is crucial to determine the proliferation and differentiation potential to fully characterise the cells intended for transplantation. One of the key factors driving the efficacy of cell therapy is the timing of its administration to the patient. Thus, a search for suitable biomarkers that would assess the development of the disease is essential not only for the precise timing of transplantation but also for monitoring cell therapy outcomes. No full textThis thesis presents a comparative reading of Denis Johnston's The Old Lady Says 'No!' alongside nine expressionist plays that he was exposed to leading up to The Old Lady Says 'No!''s 1929 premiere, in order to uncover the intersections of motifs and techniques among them. The plays include both George S. Kaufman and Marc Connelly's Beggar on Horseback and Josef Čapek's The Land of Many Names as well as works by Luigi Pirandello, August Strindberg, Ernst Toller, Eugene O'Neill, Georg Kaiser, and Elmer Rice. The aim of this thesis is to assess the The Old Lady holds a place among the tapestry of works that constitute the expressionist genre, and to reconcile the fact that individual theatrical techniques and characteristics ascribed to expressionism can also be found in other genres. The introduction consists of a plot summary of The Old Lady, a general overview of the topics covered and a structural layout of the study. The first chapter introduces expressionist theatre as a genre. No full textPerinatal death is a long-term underestimated life situation that brings serious psychological, social and economic consequences for the affected family and society. The attitudes and behaviour of healthcare professionals have an important influence on the parents' decision-making and on their overall ability to get through this extremely difficult situation as best as possible. Empathetic and supportive care contributes to positive memories of parents about their child, while discord between parents and healthcare professionals can have a long-term negative impact on their future life, including mental health. Improving the quality of care in a situation of perinatal loss requires the development of various forms of professional support so that healthcare professionals can acquire knowledge in palliative care, develop their psychosocial skills and have the opportunity to use support to process the burden resulting from the stress they experience. The role of Christian belief in psychodynamic therapy
No full textThe presented diploma thesis deals with psychodynamic psychotherapy in the Christian faith with a focus on the most important aspects of the client-therapist relationship. The main sources of knowledge on which it is based are the author's long-term practice as a therapist, an initiate, together with the use of literature from our and foreign origins. In the introduction, without ambitions for completeness, she presents the findings of theorists and fellow therapists touching on the relationship between faith/religiosity and psychotherapy. She primarily notes the role of different life attitudes of Christians and the majority population and their manifestations in situations such as ending one's own life by one's own decision, sexuality, masturbation, etc. The thesis deals in more depth with the description of specific modalities of therapeutic work with a client of the Christian faith, where it again analyzes its pros, cons and differences in relation to psychotherapy in general. The key here is the idea of God and the client's relationship to Him resulting from it and what influences it. No full textAnnotation: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine if Zdeněk Nejedlý perceives sources in his works The Beginnings of Hussite chant and History of Hussite chant as a part of the book culture. The first chapter summarizes Nejedlý's life and work. Nejedlý's approach to the topic of Hussites and the scientific methods used by him are described in the following chapters. The thesis also focuses on contemporary and current reflection of Nejedlý's work. The final chapters analyze Nejedlý's hussite work more closely with an emphasis on Nejedlý's work with the historical manuscripts as a part of the book culture.
