No full textReconciling work and personal life with focus on employee monitoring Abstract The thesis is devoted to the legal regulation of reconciliation of personal and professional life with a focus on employee monitoring. The interpretation of the thesis is primarily focused on the theoretical insight into both, at first sight unrelated, topics, which are subsequently linked in the thesis. The topic of work-life balance is outlined in the introduction in connection with the right to disengage, the enshrinement of which in legislation is widely discussed across the EU. Therefore, the thesis does not fail to critically evaluate the proposed legal regulation of the right to disengage and the importance of enshrining it in the Czech legal system. In view of the growing influence of information technology on the labour market, employers' attempts to control employees in the performance of their work are increasing. The aim of this thesis is therefore to summarise, evaluate and assess the legal regulation of monitoring, which at first sight seems too general, in relation to the right to privacy. Given the overall thrust of the thesis, the right to privacy itself, which is of considerable importance throughout the thesis, receives considerable attention. No full textThe aim of this thesis was to understand the experiences of young people with digital political participation. The thesis focused on young people who identified as supporters of Danuše Nerudová or Filip Turek. A secondary goal of the thesis was to understand the factors influencing young people's involvement in digital political participation in social media. This thesis is an explanatory multiple-case study that uses data collected through semi-structured interviews and digital ethnography to answer the research questions. The obtained data was analyzed using reflexive thematic analysis. The interviews revealed the factors that play a role in digital political participation. A key factor was political communication on social media. Authentic self-presentation in social media was decisive, as it reflected in the performance or initiation of digital political participation. Additionally, it was found that a certain lifestyle of young people also contributed to the initiation of digital political participation. This was observed among supporters of Filip Turek. They have begun following Filip Turek before his political career, driven by an interest in automobiles, which Filip Turek discussed on social media. Their interest in Filip Turek then sparked the initiation of digital political participation

No full text1 Criminal liability of managing person Abstract Thesis deals with the criminal liability of managing person as a person standing at the top of a corporate group. The relevance of corporates groups is increasing since corporate groups are undoubtedly an important part of the market environment. Corporate groups have a specific feature lying in the fact that the managing person can give instructions to managed companies through which the whole group is managed in a unified manner. However, corporate groups, or companies included in corporate groups respectively, can also perform criminal activities. Therefore, it is possible that a criminal offence or even a large-scale criminal activity involving several persons included in the corporate group may be committed as a result of instructions given by the managing person. The aim of this thesis is therefore to determine how the criminal liability of the managing person can be constructed if a criminal offence is committed because of the exercise of influence by the managing person. No full textThis diploma thesis deals with non-governmental non-profit organizations' (NGOs) role in ensuring prisoners' dignity in the framework of penitential care in the Czech Republic. The first part of the work is based on theoretical knowledge and literature showing that these organizations are key actors in promoting human rights in the field of prison and penitential care, which also has a positive effect on the later resocialization of prisoners and their reintegration back into society. The second and empirical part of the thesis uses qualitative research methods for data collection. The aim of the thesis is to analyze how advocacy NGOs work on the enforcement and protection of human rights in the field of prison and penitential care. The obstacles and challenges NGOs encounter in promoting the principle of prisoners' dignity are identified and their methods examined. The results bring new insights and perspectives on this topic, which may be useful in developing innovative approaches to improving prison conditions and promoting human rights

Sexual reproduction success in polyploid cytotypes of invasive asters from the genus Symphyotrichum
No full textWith increasing globalization, the colonization of non-native species into native communities worldwide has significantly risen over the past century. Species that become invasive have a particularly negative impact on native ecosystems, thanks to their considerable competitivness. The colonization success of invasive species can be influenced by numerous internal and external factors. Among the significant internal factors are reproductive efficiency and polyploidy. This thesis investigates the success of sexual reproduction in polyploid invasive asters from the genus Symphyotrichum Nees in Central Europe. The native range of most representatives of this genus, including the two studied species, is North America. In Europe, up to 16 taxa are naturalized; however, the greatest attention is primarily focused on S. lanceolatum and S. novi-belgii. Regarding ploidy levels, S. lanceolatum predominantly occurs as an octoploid in Europe, whereas S. novi-belgii is hexaploid. The study was conducted using individuals from species- (and cytotype) pure populations, whose identities were verified not only through morphology but also via flow cytometry. No full textTitle of the thesis: Criminalistic aspects of youth crime Abstract This thesis deals with youth crime in the Czech Republic, examining its characteristic features and the peculiarities of its investigation. The main aim was to create a comprehensive view of the causes, manifestations and possibilities for preventing this form of crime. In order to achieve the stated objective, a combination of multiple research methods was used, including the study of professional publications and legislation, analysis of police statistics and case law and interviews with experts from practice. The combination of these methods allowed for a thorough analysis of the issue and contributed to the expansion of knowledge on the criminalistic aspects of youth crime. The thesis combines theoretical knowledge with specific cases and experiences from practice. The first chapter defines basic terms related to youth crime and describes its current structure in the Czech Republic. It includes an analysis of police statistics and court criminal records in individual years. The second, third and fourth chapters are devoted to individual areas of the methodology of investigating unlawful acts committed by youth. A landscape-scale study of trends in population size and reproductive success of Succisa pratensis
No full textThe survival of a plant species in a landscape depends on the ability of individual populations to persist within that landscape, as well as the species' ability to produce seeds and successfully colonize new suitable habitats (or recolonize existing ones where local populations have become extinct). Long-lived plant species are particularly interesting in the context of survival in a landscape. The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of environmental factors and population characteristics on the survival, reproductive success, and population dynamics of the long-lived plant species Succisa pratensis (Devil's bit Scabious). Data was collected in 2022 and 2023 in the Tepelská Highlands and compared with data collected in 2015 from the same populations. Plant density, the representation of different life stages, plant size, and herbivory levels were recorded. Seeds were collected from flowering plants to assess reproductive success and the factors influencing it. Pollinator visitation rates were observed in a subset of populations to determine pollinator density. Changes in population size, site occupancy, and population structure were analyzed, with key predictors including isolation, the composition of surrounding vegetation, and management practices.
