    No full text
The thesis "Spiritual Care in Social Service Facilities of Diakonia" offers an insight into the issue of spiritual care and the spiritual needs of clients in social service facilities, not only within the organization of the Evangelical Diakonia in Slovakia. Considering the growing interest in a more holistic approach to providing social care, as well as the religious character of this church-based social organization, the thesis emphasizes the importance of the spiritual dimension in the context of clients' overall satisfaction. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the analysis of spiritual care and the spiritual needs of individuals, focusing on identifying and understanding the connection between spiritual fulfilment and perceived quality of life. The practical part presents a proposal for linking quantitative and qualitative research methods based on questionnaire surveys of selected respondents. This research aims to analyse the relationships between providing various forms of spiritual care and clients' perceptions of satisfaction and spiritual fulfilment while receiving social services. The aim of the thesis is not only to provide a basic theoretical and empirical evaluation of the significance of spiritual care and client satisfaction in social services but also to stimulate..

(in English) This thesis analyzes the economic and social relations between Jewish communities and Christian society in medieval Hungary. The aim was to examine the factors influencing their coexistence, with a focus on legal, cultural, and religious interactions. The research emphasizes trade and financial connections, familial ties, as well as intellectual and patronage relationships, contributing to the understanding of the mechanisms of coexistence between diverse communities. Methodologically, the thesis employs an interdisciplinary approach, combining historical analysis, comparative research, and the study of legal documents, ecclesiastical decrees, and trade records. The comparison of Hungarian legal and economic regulations with those of other European regions revealed unique aspects of the status of Jews in this area. The findings highlight the crucial role of legislation, which often restricted Jewish rights while simultaneously reflecting the economic needs of rulers. Jewish economic activities in trade and finance significantly contributed to the development of the Hungarian economy. Social and cultural interactions fostered a multicultural environment in the country. The results suggest that the peaceful coexistence of Jews and Christians was driven by the pragmatic needs of both..

Linguistic Markers of Countability in Early and Late Middle English

    No full text
The main aim of this MAthesis was to explore the linguistic markers of countability in the English language, focusing specifically on their development in the Early and Late Middle English (ME) period (c. 1100-1500). Countability is a key feature influencing noun classification and their grammatical structure. This thesis examines whether and how pluralisation and determiners functioned as countability markers in ME and how these features evolved compared to Present- Day English (PDE). By conducting a detailed analysis, this thesis aimed to trace the development of these linguistic markers across the ME period, providing a clearer understanding of how the concept of countability in English has evolved over time. The practical part employs a corpus-based analysis using the Penn-Helsinki Parsed Corpus of Middle English, second edition (PPCME2). The analysis combined quantitative and qualitative methods to examine the frequency distribution of plural forms and the usage of determiners. The findings reveal significant variability in the usage of countability markers during ME. The pluralisation patterns were more flexible, with presumed uncountable nouns forming plurals and vice versa. Additionally, the data showed the occasional use of indefinite articles with uncountable nouns like a water, a..

Diploma thesis follow up czech literature culture turning point of 50's and 60's of 20th century. Fist part of diploma has more general character and its dedicated political backround of this period and progress of particular part of literature culture. Following section is researche based on Květen magazine which took apart in contemporary political - culture disputes and create so called daily life poetics. Deeper analysis is focused on 1959 year when czechoslovak writers were enforced by Communist party by enforcement to cooperate. Significant milestone in that progress had been nationwide congress of Union of Czechoslovak writers which happened between 1st. Till 2nd March 1959. Second part of my diploma thesis is focused on processes in 1963. Regular session of Union of Czechoslovak writers is evidence about political easing in art caused by second criticism of stalinism. Behind the scenes information brought details about persecution of writers in turning point of decades, which were revealed by rehabilitations, during 1968 spring

Perspektivy reintrodukce lipana podhorního (Thymallus thymallus) do volných vod

This thesis presents work that explores how to reintroduce European grayling (Thymallus thymallus) into open waters and describes the main current challenges related to this process. The functional grayling populations that reproduce naturally are practically absent in the Czech Republic, and the main management activity to counter this situation is represented by restocking programmes. Their low effectiveness was described by several previous studies and addressed stocking failures mainly due to substantial fitness decline in long-reared grayling, a characteristic often observed in salmonids. However, studies in this thesis are inspired by the critical necessity to develop successful stocking practices, especially from the conservational biology and fisheries management aspects, as well as a reaction to the frequent requests perceived by angler associations for restocking this keystone management species. In accordance with findings of numerous reared-related traits in cultured graylings, our study on 2+-year-old graylings brought insights into these deficits through the eco-physiological background. Concerningly, their low lipid reserves were detected six months after stocking, further strengthening the findings of low adaptation of this age category. The study explained the connection of feeding divergence between reared and wild grayling and loss of adiposity under natural level, thus strongly doubts the suitability of stocking material of this age. Fish that were under a stable feeding regime with artificial food could not respond to the environmental challenges optimally, performing intensive migrations and exposing themselves to predators by risky feeding. However, the tested mass stocking with European grayling advanced fry was key research that significantly strengthened the weak population in experimental stretches. The same study brings valuable long-term evaluation of the E. grayling reintroduction program in the natural streams. It represents a promising rearing practice on natural food in open ponds with significant post-stocking success, where the fry exhibited great growth dynamics in the wild environment. Overall, it represents a promising rearing practice on natural food in open ponds with significant post-stocking success that fishery managers should consider. Along with the relatively easy marking with Alizarine Red S, the monitoring program is feasible for broad types of participants in evaluating stocking success. Such a possibility enables more precise monitoring and, at the same time, increases the source of significant information that has been scarce for the scientific community. Additionally, this thesis provided clear reasons for managers to dispute the stocking practice with long-reared brood fish before the spawning period because it failed to validate its appropriateness in terms of total recaptured fish and their ability to spawn naturally in the wild. These studies synthesize comprehensive knowledge of stocking success with various categories, which is discussed to cover aspects of fishery ecology and management and the conservational biology of E. grayling. Therefore, the knowledge described in this thesis can be an important base for the reintroduction management of European grayling that would sustain an appropriate grayling population size and contribute to overall fisheries management knowledge

Title: Creation and testing of a training program focused on the development of speed endurance in youth football players. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to design and verify a seven-week training program focused on developing speed endurance in youth football category. Methods: A total of 34 participants took part in the pre-test and post-test. Each participant was an active football player from either SK Ďáblice or SK Votice. The study involved both an experimental and control group. The experimental group completed a seven-week training cycle aimed at improving speed endurance, while the control group served as a comparison the evaluate the program's effectiveness. The initial and final test for both groups utilized the Bumaza test, where the participants completed eight runs, and the average time was calculated. The research was conducted on the home fields of the aforementioned teams. Data were analyzed using the t-test method and Cohene's d (statistical and parctical significance). Results: The average improvement for the SK Votice team was 0,056 ± 0,0491 seconds, whereas for the SK Ďáblice team, it was 0,013 ± 0,0351 seconds. The most significant individual improvement for a player from SK Votice was 0,13 ± 0,0491 seconds, while for SK Ďáblice, it was 0,07 ± 0,0351 seconds...

Complex experiment support through the IVIS framework

    No full text
en [email protected] January 2025 1 Abstract Data experimentation is complex and consists of multiple steps, such as data gathering and workflow design. Because of this, an experiment management framework is needed. This thesis is part of the ExtremeXP project, which aims to implement a modern and versatile experiment management framework. The framework relies on a data storage system to store data from the experiments, which are often big and of various types and do not have a fixed schema. This thesis designs and implements such a data storage system based on partners' requirements with a focus on scalability, high performance, and traceability, which was previously not sufficiently addressed by experimentation management frameworks. This includes selecting the optimal database and proposing a data access layer with an API, which enables efficient querying of stored data yet is not too broad. Docker was chosen as the optimal deployment method.
