Children's home and its role in the upbringing and education of children/pupils of younger school age
The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on substitute educational care, with particular emphasis on children´s homes and the reasons children are placed in these institutions. It describes the key figures involved in the upbringing and education of children, the development of children in younger school age, including processes of learning and socialization, and addresses the educational needs of these children. The practical part is based on qualitative research involving observations and interviews with primary school teachers and educators from children´s homes. Its aim was to explore the role of children´s homes in the educational and upbringing processes of younger school-aged children. The research examined how education and school preparation are carried out, how communication and cooperation between children´s homes and schools function, and what are the specifics of their education. The research findings are organized into fourteen thematic categories, whose analysis served to answer the research questions and fulfill the overall aim of the study
Možnosti fyzioterapie u pacientů s Alzheimerovou chorobou
Alzheimer's disease is a serious illness that still cannot be fully cured. The number of people affected is constantly increasing worldwide and a further rise is expected in the coming years. Treatment can only slow down the progression of the disease and help maintain the patient's condition. Physiotherapy plays an important role in therapy as it helps improve both physical and mental well-being. The theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis focuses on the characteristics of Alzheimer's disease, its typical symptoms, classification, diagnosis, and available treatment options. It also describes the lives of patients living in special care facilities which is common in the later stages of the disease. The main aim of this thesis was to explore and describe the possibilities of physiotherapy for patients with Alzheimer's disease. The practical part includes case studies and the research process which involved a group of three women aged 77-80 years in the early stage of Alzheimer's disease. It describes the assessment methods used, including initial and final kinesiological evaluations and the physiotherapy program which focused on the general condition of the patients and included exercises to improve balance. This thesis may serve as educational material for anyone interested in this topic. It can also be useful for people affected by the disease and their families offering helpful advice and information for providing care
The distribution of industrial production in the Czech Republic at the end of the 1980s.
The bachelor thesis The location of industrial production in the Czech Republic at the end of the 1980s focuses on the industry of centrally planned enterprises in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the industry at the end of the 1980s by means of the number of workers in each industry at the state, regional and district level and to assess its state at the end of the socialist regime on the basis of the data obtained. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis looks at the geography of industry in general and then moves on to Czechoslovak industry, with a focus on the employment of women in industry in the Czech Republic. The thesis analyses the basic structure of centrally planned industries at the state and regional level, and then looks at the concentration of industries at the regional level and the specialisation of industries at the district level. The last section examines the distribution of women in industries and their representation in the industry. The result is a set of charts, tables, cartograms and cartographs, with comments, describing the situation of industry in the Czech Republic at the end of the 1980s
Demographic development and the midwifery profession
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of demographic development and its impact on the profession of midwife from the perspective of midwives and students of Midwifery. The theoretical part defines key demographic concepts, analyzes the factors influencing the birth rate in the Czech Republic and characterizes the professional framework of midwifery in terms of legislation, education and professional competencies. The practical part is based on a qualitative survey in the form of semi-structured interviews with 22 respondents, the analysis of which revealed the perception of the decline in the birth rate as a significant factor influencing employment in the field. The research survey was focused on two questions: "How do female students of Midwifery perceive the demographic development in the field of birth rate and the conditions for their professional employment?" and "How do students of Midwifery perceive the demographic development in the field of birth rate and the conditions for their professional employment?" The findings point to both the potential for individualized care and concerns about job losses. The results can be used as a basis for professional discussion and the creation of educational materials focused on reproductive health and the future of obstetric care
Postoperative nursing care for patients after robotic thoracic procedures
Introduction: The thesis deals with the issue of postoperative care of patients after robotic thoracic procedures. In the theoretical part, it deals with the history and present of robotic surgery, the technologies used and the specifics of postoperative nursing care, including monitored parameters, possible complications and the role of the general nurse. The aim of the research part was to determine the role of the nurse in the care of these patients, to map the specifics of nursing care after robotic procedures and to explore the patients' perception of this care. Methodology and research sample: To achieve the objectives, qualitative methods were used, namely semi-structured interviews with four patients and fifteen general nurses from the resuscitation and postoperative care unit, the intensive care unit and the standard ward. The research was supplemented by non-participant observation of nursing staff caring for patients after these procedures. The contribution of this thesis is to map current practice, nursing staff awareness levels and patient experiences of post-operative care, which may help to optimise care and better understand the specific needs of patients following these procedures. Results: The research survey showed that general nurses considered the care of patients following robotic thoracic procedures to be manageable with their existing knowledge. They perceive specifics especially in the management of patients' pain. Patients rated this care positively, especially for the nurses' individual approach and empathy. A significant finding was that the level of awareness of nursing staff about the specifics of robotic surgery is not uniform, indicating the need for targeted education. Conclusion: Based on the findings, it can be concluded that quality nursing care is crucial for successful recovery of patients after robotic thoracic procedures. The thesis brings a new perspective on this issue and its outcomes can be used in the development of information and educational materials for healthcare staff. The results may contribute to improving the quality of care and better understanding of patient needs in modern thoracic surgery
History and Development of Gas Insulated MV Switchgears
The thesis explores the history, development, and current state of gas-insulated and air-insulated high-voltage switchgear, with an emphasis on environmental aspects and technical parameters. It further addresses potential alternatives to SF6 gas, which is being gradually phased out and prohibited due to new regulatory and legislative measures. The thesis also includes a technical comparison of gas-insulated and air-insulated switchgear. In addition, a design of Siemens switchgear from the NXAIR C and 8DJH24 RRT series is presented and compared with an SF6 insulated 8DJH switchgear in terms of environmental and economic criteria

The use of digital dithering compared to dequantization methods in audio signals
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on quantization, dithering, and dequantization of digital audio signals. The theoretical part describes the principles of quantization, types of dithering noise, and the technique of noise shaping. The practical part includes the implementation of several dithering methods in MATLAB and their application to a test database of audio signals. Evaluation was carried out using SDR and ODG metrics, along with subjective listening comparisons. The results were compared with the professional MBIT+ unit and a dequantization method based on the Chambolle–Pock algorithm. In many cases, the proposed script achieved results comparable to or better than the reference methods
Pre-literacy skills of socio-culturally disadvantaged kindergarten children
The subject of this thesis is the mapping of the pre-literacy skills of socio-culturally disadvantaged children in the last year of kindergarten in comparison with the performance of pre-literacy skills of their peers. The thesis is based on empirical research in kindergartens with children (N=47) aged 68 to 82 months and their parents (legal representatives). The aim of this research work is not only to describe and characterize the pre-literacy skills of pre-schoolers from socio-culturally disadvantaged backgrounds, but also to systematically review what is known about the phenomenon of socio-cultural disadvantage in the existing psychological literature and to propose a specific procedure for identifying socio-cultural disadvantage. This procedure is applied in this paper as part of the methodological steps in the research part of the thesis. The socio-cultural disadvantage is thus identified based on the mother's highest level of education and the child's level of receptive vocabulary. Statistical analyses of data on the pre-literacy skills of socio-culturally disadvantaged children and their peers who are not at risk of socio-cultural disadvantage reveal that socio-culturally disadvantaged children perform statistically significantly worse than children who are not at risk of socio-cultural..
