The Impact of the NAUTIS Leisure Club on Social Inclusion

    No full text
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to explore how the NAUTIS leisure club (National Institute for Autism) influences the social relationships, skills, and inclusion of adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and what benefits organized leisure activities may offer. It also focuses on the specifics of social interactions and how the participants themselves perceive them. The theoretical part presents autism spectrum disorders, their conceptualization in diagnostic manuals, and summarizes findings on the importance and characteristics of leisure time for adults with ASD. The practical part of the thesis includes a thematic analysis of semi-structured interviews with 11 adult members of the NAUTIS leisure club. The results indicate that leisure clubs can be beneficial particularly in establishing contacts within a safe environment, reducing social isolation, supporting mental well-being, openness, self-realization, and meaningful leisure activities. Emerging topics include the lack of close relationships, negative social experiences, and experiences of overload and stressful situations that may impair communication skills. Attention is also given to perceived differences in communication with people with and without ASD, and to the influence of shared and differing interests. The findings of this..

Title: Analysis of Goals Scored in the Ninth-Grade Ice Hockey Extra League for a Selected Team Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to analyze goals scored by a selected team in the ninth- grade extra league. The study seeks to identify key factors influencing shooting efficiency, such as the type of shot, shooting zone, shot placement, and the game situations that led to successful scoring attempts. Methodology: A literature review was conducted at the beginning of the research using verified sources, including academic publications, journals, and articles from platforms such as Web of Science, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and Scopus. The empirical part of the research was based on both direct and indirect observation of 28 regular-season games. I personally attended all of the team's matches and subsequently analyzed video footage of all 138 goals scored. Each goal was examined using qualitative analysis focused on gameplay context and shooting behavior. The findings were systematically recorded in tables and subsequently processed through quantitative analysis. Results: The analysis revealed that the most productive shooting area was the central area in front of the net (the "slot"), which accounted for the majority of goals. Goals most often resulted from shots taken in this area following a..

Green deal in contemporary Czech politics

Climate change is a phenomenon that is primarily studied by the natural sciences, however, its consequences affect society and society takes a position on it. The perspective and rhetoric of political actors is a crucial aspect of the social debate on environmental policy. This bachelor thesis examines the framing of the Green Deal in contemporary Czech politics, specifically analysing the frames of major political parties, namely hnutí ANO, Piráti a Starostové, hnutí SPD and koalice SPOLU. It further analyses both their differences and similarities, the main one being the aspect of neglecting environmental issues and prioritising other aspects. The method of the thesis is frame analysis which is based on stenographic records from the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. Key words: green deal, chamber of deputies, framing, framework analysi

Effect of equine assisted therapy on respiratory function and scoliosis in children with spinal muscular atrophy: observed intervention study

    No full text
Respiratory function is one of the key pillars of health in children/patients with neuromuscular diseases such as spinal muscular atrophy. Impaired respiratory function is closely linkedtothe development of scoliotic posture andthe subsequent onset of scoliosis. For this reason, I have chosen these two health parameters to assess the effect of hippotherapy as a therapeutic method for children with neuromuscular diseases such as spinal muscular atrophy. Therefore, respiratory functions and scoliosis status were examined. The aim of this study was to measure the impact of hippotherapy on these functions and compare their values across three measurements conducted during a hippotherapy rehabilitation stay for children with spinal muscular atrophy. The study includedparticipants aged3 to9 years with a diagnosedspinal muscular atrophy, all of whom attended a hipporehabilitation stay at the Mirákl Hipporehabilitation Center. All children received gene therapy, and more than half of them presented with respiratory problems and scoliosis of varying degrees. During these six-day stays, the participants underwent intensive hippotherapy sessions lasting 15 minutes twice a day, along with additional complementary therapies (physiotherapy, canine therapy, art therapy, etc.) and the total duration of the study..

Competition between the subjunctive and the indicative in contemporary Italian and French from the perspective of functional styles

    No full text
This bachelor's thesis deals with the competition between the subjunctive and the indicative mood in contemporary Italian and French. When comparing the two languages, the use of the subjunctive tends to decline to varying degrees and in various contexts. Thus, the objective of this paper is to contribute to the delineation of the usage of these moods, particularly in the context of subject clauses. Firstly, in the theoretical part of this paper, we characterize the following terms: the verbal mood, the indicative and the subjunctive. Most attention is dedicated to the subjunctive, as we describe it from a morphological, syntactical and semantic perspective. We then proceed to characterize the subject clause from the viewpoint of its form, and we also analyze the verbal tenses and moods that can appear in the clause. The theoretical part is followed by a practical one, in which we examine how much the subjunctive fluctuates in subject clauses by means of a contrastive corpus analysis. A crucial aspect of the research paper is its focus on the language register of the analyzed texts; particular emphasis is hence placed on functional styles

Structure-activity study of novel synthetic antimicrobial peptidomimetics

    No full text
Občas byly používané dvě další látky, značené C6 a C10, s cílem poskytnout hlubší vhled do problematiky.

    No full text
The bachelor's thesis presents the detective stories of the Chinese writer Cheng Xiaoqing 程小青 (1893-1976) and traces the connections between the writer's treatises on detective literature and his own work, short stories from the 1910s to the 1940s. The thesis focuses on the narrative strategies and procedures by which the author combines the telling of entertaining stories with giving a lesson to or "educating" contemporary readers and compares the meaning-making functions of the pair of main protagonists Huo Sang 霍桑 and Bao Lang 包朗 with the functions of the characters Sherlock Holmes and dr. Watson in the stories of Arthur C. Doyle. Key words: Cheng Xiaoqing (1893-1976), modern Chinese literature, detective stories, Huo Sang's Detective Case

    Dance in a horror film

    No full text
in English for the thesis Dance in the Horror Film This bachelor's thesis focuses on the representation of dance in horror cinema and its relation to affect and corporeality. The aim of the thesis is to interconnect affect theory, the concept of body horror, and cinematic dance movement in order to explore whether and how these elements support one another in generating tension and eliciting an emotional response from the viewer. The analysis draws on theoretical frameworks of affect (Jiri Anger, Laura U. Marks, Xavier Aldana Reyes), the monstrous feminine (Barbara Creed), corporeality in horror (Jessica Folio, Holly Luhning), and screen dance (Magda Spanihelova). The work is based on case studies of three films - Climax (Gaspar Noé, 2018), Black Swan (Darren Aronofsky, 2010), and Suspiria (Luca Guadagnino, 2018) - and demonstrates how dance within the context of horror can convey affective shock, destabilize character identity, and function as a tool of both narrative and visual horror

Stigmatisation of people with sensory disabilities in the public educational

    No full text
(English) Sensory disabilities are often perceived through the lens of stereotypical ideas that are distorted by human bias, ignorance or personal experience. Whether it is a negative prejudice or an idealization of their abilities, these attitudes are deeply rooted in the cultural norms of a given society, presenting a way of acting that is not simply an individual response but a reflextion of broader social structures that shep perceptions of difference. In the education system, this can be reflected in the behaviour of teachers, (co-)students and other participants (assistants, psychologists, parents). Sensory disabilities are viewed through the prism of deficit rather than diversity, which can lead to the reproduction of certain forms of stigmatisation - from outright rejection to sublet forms of exclusion, whereby the school environment can contribute to the reinforcement of a stereotypical image in the social space. It is thus essential to seek opportunities that would allow the achievement of an appropriate inklusive education
