Transparency in Multilevel Systems: A Comparative Analysis of Lobbying Regulations at EU, State, and Substate Levels in Germany

    No full text
Prostřednictvím kvalitativních metod, včetně systematické komparativní obsahové analýzy, bodového hodnocení a expertních rozhovorů, studie potvrzuje existenci řady příležitostí pro neprůhledný lobbing v rámci MLG a odhaluje výrazné rozdíly v úrovni transparentnosti jednotlivých registrů. Německý národní registr se ukázal jako výrazně přísnější a efektivněji vynucovaný ve srovnání s..

The Impact of the Acquisition of JRC Czech a.s. by Smarty CZ a.s. on the Marketing Communication of Smarty.cz

    No full text
This bachelor thesis focuses on the marketing impact of the acquisition of JRC Czech a.s. by Smarty CZ a.s., completed in 2022. The aim is to analyse how this acquisition influenced the marketing communication of the Smarty.cz brand, particularly regarding changes in brand strategy, communication channels, and customer perception. The practical part is based on a combination of qualitative methods, including an expert interview with the marketing director of Smarty CZ, secondary data analysis from Behavio, and an independent content analysis of the marketing communication of both brands. The originally planned quantitative survey was conducted only as a pilot study due to methodological limitations. The findings indicate that the acquisition strengthened Smarty.cz's market position, integrated the gaming segment, and supported the development of an omnichannel strategy. The thesis concludes with key insights, a reflection on the research limitations, and recommendations for further studies on marketing in the context of mergers and acquisitions

Climate (in)visibilites: Earth data between art and science

    No full text
(in English) Climate (in)visibilities investigates the digital twin of Earth as both a technological infrastructure and a cultural artifact that reshapes contemporary approaches to climate crisis. Drawing from media theory, aesthetics and planetary thinking, it explores how digital replicas of Earth, developed under initiatives like the European Commission's Des-tination Earth, mediate perception, knowledge and emotional engagement with planetary processes. The digital twin of Earth is a representational system that reframes how we sense, imagine and respond to environmental change. Through the theoretical frameworks of Comparative Planetology (Likavčan) and Plan-etary Mattering (Waag Futurelab), this work critiques how such technological systems prioritize matters of fact and control, while neglecting care, justice and hope. The thesis follows a tripartite structure - Twinning, Aesthetics, Affects - to trace how the digital twin externalizes Earth into a machinic object of prediction, renders it visible through hyperaesthetic data visualizations, and induces emotional states from techno-optimism to melancholy. Engaging with examples from Earth Observation platforms, visual culture, and artistic research, it situates the digital twin within broaded regimes of visibility and governance,..

Interactive application for visualisation of fundamental concepts in linear algebra

    No full text
Linear algebra is a basic mathematics discipline which is one of the base pillars of today's mathematics. During the lectures and tutorials the geometric interpretation of the basic concepts of linear algebra is often forgotten, one of the reasons being the absence of user friendly applications drawing the basic models of linear algebra. The goal of this thesis is to create an easily extendable and maximally user-friendly application visualizing the basic concepts of linear algebra. We are going to visualise linear dynamical systems in plane, Gerschgorin disks and Brauer ovals of Cassini for the matrices 3×3 and linear transformations in real plane, during which we are building upon the ideas of an already existing application used for visualising the discs and ovals. The application Visualisation of linear algebra is going to be used in the next academical year during the tutorials of linear algebra on MFF UK
