The Effectiveness of Natural Science Handouts Based on Critical Thinking Skills on the Diversity of Living Things: Keefektifan Handout IPA Berbasis Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis pada Materi Keanekaragaman Makhluk Hidup
The development of critical thinking skills is one of the key factors to face the opportunities and challenges of life in the industrial era 4.0. However, this skill has not been trained properly. Therefore, the purpose of writing this paper is to analyze the effectiveness of science handouts on the material diversity of living things to improve students' critical thinking skills. This study uses formative evaluation with Tessmer Model, which is limited to small group and field tests. The trial used a one group pretest and posttest design, for a small group test on 12 students and a field test on 20 class VIII students of SMPN 1 Sungai Durian. Collecting data through critical thinking tests and interviews. The results of the research on the small group and field tests showed: (1) students' skills in interpretation, analysis, explanation, evaluation, and inference were initially low to moderate; and (2) students' critical thinking skills increased significantly at = 5%, with n-gain in the moderate criteria. Thus, the science handout based on critical thinking skills that was developed is effectively used in science learning

Abstract.Existing human resources must be prepared early. Indeed, national education aims to create intelligent and competitive generations. This research is oriented towards the influence of CAM, which is implemented in the learning process. This research method is quasi-experimental. The research design used a non-equivalent control group design. As a sample is XI grade in SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Surabaya. Data collection techniques through observation and tests, critical thinking skills test sheets and students' concept mastery tests. Descriptively, self-critical thinking skills are 100% completed classically. The results of the t-test have a significance value of ≤ 0.05, which is 0.000. Then for mastery of the concept from the results of the t-test, the significance value is ≤ 0.05, namely with a significance value of 0.000. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of CAM p on students' critical thinking skills and students' mastery of concepts

The research method used is ADDIE model development research starting from the analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate stages. Data analysis techniques used in the study include validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Based on the results of data analysis obtained from several validators, it shows that the developed electronic students’ worksheet obtained an average percentage score of 93% with a very valid and good category to use. The results of practicality in the use of electronic students’ worksheet when learning obtained a percentage of 88.7% with a good category. In knowing the increase in students' HOTS, the N-Gain test was carried out and obtained a value of 0.65 with moderate criteria, which means that the electronic students’ worksheet assisted by flip PDF professionals is quite effective in increasing students' HOTS. The results of student responses to the use of the developed electronic students’ worksheet showed an average percentage score of 58.94%. Based on the analysis results obtained, the electronic students’ worksheet assisted by flip PDF professionals in science lessons to improve students' higher order thinking skills is feasible to use
Integrated Science Education Mobile Application: Edukit for 21st Century Students: Aplikasi Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Terpadu: Edukit untuk Siswa Abad 21
The aim of this study is to develop a valid and practical science learning media that integrated with mobile application (EduKIT). This EduKIT provide activities so students can have experiences to string and think solution about any problems integrated by technology as demanded of Education in 21st century. This research using ADDIE model which is only limited to the development stage. At each stage, an evaluation process is carried out to produce the maximum product. To measure the validity and feasibility of the media, an instrument in the form of a questionnaire was used. Quantitative data is obtained from the score given by the validator against each criterion and indicator on the validation sheet. While the qualitative data is obtained from the advice given by the validator. The result shows that the EduKIT was highly valid to use with the percentage 98% and 99% for validation media and content validity respectively. This assessment was tested on two science education experts. While the result for the readability test by five teachers was 96% and 91% from ten junior students. Those percentage (>90%) show very practical and highly valid to be used. Based on the results of the validation and readibility test, it can be concluded that EduKIT was valid and practical, so it is suitable for students to use as a learning medium to practice problem solving skills in preparing the 21st century generation
The Effectiveness of SW (Student Worksheets) Based on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) to Train Students' Creative Thinking Skills: Efektivitas Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik Berbasis STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Untuk Melatihkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif Peserta Didik
Existing learning has not fully facilitated 4C (critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity) skills and there are obstacles for students to encounter in studying biology, especially the material about plant tissue. It happens due to various limitations in achieving basic competency skills. One of the learning approaches that can be used to support 4C skills is the STEM approach which is supported by student worksheets (SW) to guide the learning process. The purpose of this study was to measure the effectiveness of STEM-based SW to train students' creative thinking skills. The research method used is descriptive quantitative and qualitative with one group pre-test and post-test design. The research subjects were 21 students of XI grades at SMAK St.Hendrikus. Data analysis of the N-Gain test of creative thinking skills obtained an average N-gain of 0.7 with a medium category. The N-Gain analysis of creative thinking skills using the T-Test with a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 indicates that STEM-based worksheets are effective in training students' creative thinking skills

Inquiry is the heart of science learning, but the process is rarely trained in elementary school students. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to produce a guided inquiry-based science module that is feasible to improve student learning outcomes of products and processes on the state of matter topic. This study uses education design research with the Tessmer model. However, this study was limited to the field test stage using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The test subjects were 30 students of class V MIS Rumbai Kapuas. The research data was obtained through the instrument of observing student activities and product-process tests. The results showed that students were able to carry out inquiry activities at each meeting well. In addition, the students' product and process n-gains were 0.48 and 0.38, respectively, with moderate criteria. Thus, the guided inquiry-based science module is feasible to improve student learning outcomes of products and processes in science learning
