Development of a Science Literacy Instrument with a Tourism Context in Sumenep Regency in Environmental Education Lectures: Pengembangan Instrumen Literasi Sains Berkonteks Wisata Kabupaten Sumenep pada Perkuliahan Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup
This research aims to produce a product in the form of a scientific literacy instrument in the local tourism context of Sumenep Regency during Environmental Education (PLH) lectures. This research uses research and development methods (Research & Development) using the ADDIE model which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The instrument used in this research was a test. The aspect measured is scientific literacy ability. The results of the question validation obtained an accumulated score with a percentage of 79.47 in the category "very valid." The results of attitude validation obtained an accumulation with a percentage of 61.60 in the "valid" category. The results of the one to one trial obtained a score of 63 in the "Good" category. And the results of the small group trial obtained a score of 67 in the "Good" category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the scientific literacy instrument in the tourism context of Sumenep district is suitable for use as a tool for evaluating scientific literacy skills in Environmental Education lectures. Low scientific literacy skills are a problem that must be addressed immediately for the advancement of superior and quality human resources. One of the causes of low scientific literacy is the lack of developed scientific literacy instruments. It is hoped that the development of a scientific literacy instrument in the tourism context of Sumenep district will be able to become a tool for measuring students' scientific literacy abilities on a regular basis
Implementation of Ethno-STEM Learning through the "Lompek Kodok" Game to Enhance Critical Thinking Ability: Penerapan Pembelajaran Etno-STEM melalui Permainan Lompek Kodok untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis
The research on the implementation of Etno-STEM learning involves four indicators of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics based on the culture local wisdom of the surrounding community. This study is crucial for investigating the enhancement of students' critical thinking abilities, as this approach has the potential to broaden insights into the effectiveness of classroom learning and student responses to it. Thus, it can provide a reference for developing learning approaches on how incorporating local values into STEM education can improve academic outcomes and student engagement. This research aims to describe the improvement of students' critical thinking abilities taught with Ethno STEM through the traditional game of Lompek Kodok. It also aims to describe students' responses to the implementation of Ethno-STEM learning. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 04 Kota Bengkulu with a total of 225 10th-grade students during the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024. The research type used in this study is Pre-Experimental, and the design used is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The instruments used were a critical thinking ability test and a response questionnaire for 33 students selected using purposive sampling techniques. The instruments used are critical thinking ability tests and response questionnaires. Data analysis techniques that will measure the improvement of critical thinking abilities include Descriptive Analysis and Inferential Analysis with N-Gain. Meanwhile, descriptive statistical analysis will be used to measure student responses. The research results show that the N-Gain value in class X MIPA 3 is 0,75, indicating that the class is in the high category. Additionally, students' responses to this research are categorized as very good, with percentages as follows: 80% for the attitude towards the process aspect, 87% for interest level, and 82% for clarity towards the process aspect. Overall, Ethno STEM learning can improve students' critical thinking abilities.
 
Three Basic Skills of Rectilinear Motion Chart Interpretation; What Do Students Already Have and How Should They Be? Tiga Keterampilan Dasar Interpretasi Grafik Gerak Lurus; Apa yang Sudah Siswa Miliki dan Bagaimana Seharusnya?
This study focuses on identifying high school students' skills in interpreting kinematics graphs of linear motion. The research was implemented by quantitative method to 70 students. The data collection technique was carried out by giving a direct test of 26 multiple choice questions adopted from TUG-K. The students' skills identification was reviewed based on three basic graphing skills, the results showed that 39% of students were skilled in reading graphs directly, 47% of students were skilled in interpreting the slope/gradient of the line and 37% of students were skilled in interpreting the area under the curve. This study found that students did not have full graphing skills. In the case of transforming one graph to another that requires a combination of two or more basic skills, the percentage success score decreased, 37% in the combination of basic skills 1-2 and 31% in the combination of 1-3. The combination of basic skills that requires a more complex thinking process is the main reason for students' failure to answer the questions correctly. The results of this study can be the basis of information for further research in improving students' skills in linear motion graphs
The Effect Of Remedial Learning Using Augmented Reality Media On Student Learning Interest In Cell Material: Pengaruh Pembelajaran Remedial menggunakan Media Augmented Reality terhadap Minat Belajar Siswa pada Materi Sel
Cell material that has the character of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and the lack of use of teaching media is one of the causes of students' difficulties in understanding it. In addition, it also has an impact on remedial learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of remedial learning with augmented reality teaching media on students' learning interest in cell material. The research method uses a quantitative approach of the pre-experimental type with a form of research in the form of one group pre-test post-test. The technique used in data retrieval is the purposive sampling technique. The study sample was grade XI2 students of SMA Negeri 1 Seputih Mataram who experienced remedial cell material with a total of 18 individuals (10 men and 8 women) from 34 individuals who experienced remedial in general. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire with the Guttman type. The aspects studied are 5 indicators of student learning interest: pleasure, focus, a sense of interest in the lesson, great curiosity, and involvement in the teaching and learning process. While the aspects assessed in this study amounted to 20. Based on research, the use of augmented reality media in remedial learning has increased. This can be seen from the average percentage value before treatment of 55.23% which is included in the low category and has increased by 64.94% which is included in the medium category. This proves that remedial learning using augmented reality-based teaching media can increase student interest in learning.
 
The Description of Students’ Creativity and Motivation in Physics: Introducing Madurese Local Wisdom “Karapan Sapi” as Ethnophysics Learning Media: Deskripsi Kreativitas dan Motivasi Siswa dalam Fisika: Memperkenalkan Kearifan Lokal Madura “Karapan Sapi” Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Etnofisika
Creative thinking skills are one of the important abilities in the 21st century because they play an important role for individuals in approaching the solution of daily life problems. The importance of creativity in education demands an effort to foster this skill in various learning activities. However, teachers tend to still not apply learning activities that can train creativity by design. Ethnoscience-based learning based on the local wisdom of Madura karapan sapi can be an alternative solution in overcoming these problems. Therefore, this research aims to describe students’ creativity and motivation as well as explore the potential of karapan sapi as a physics learning media. The research design used was mixed-method exploratory with quantitative methods of one-shot case study and survey to 37 students of SMAN 3 Sidoarjo combined with interviews and observations to the owner of the bull race. The results showed that students still have a creativity score of 9.51 or at low criteria. Meanwhile, more than 75% of students claimed to lack motivation to learn physics. To remediate this, the application of cow race tradition in physics learning makes students closer and feel more contextualized in understanding physics concepts in order to increase their creativity and motivation
The Effect of Local Wisdom Based Learning Media on Science Process Skills in Straight Motion Material: Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Kearifan Lokal terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains pada Materi Gerak Lurus
The purpose of the study was to determine the use of local wisdom-based learning media on science process skills in straight motion material in junior high school. This study used a two-group experimental design, namely between the experimental group and the control group. Sampling in this study used a random sampling technique to determine the class that would be the experimental group and the control group. The population in this study were all students of class VIII who collected 62 students consisting of 2 classes, namely class B and C of SMP Negeri I Marisa, Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo Province. The results obtained that the effect of learning using media based on local wisdom in terms of increasing the ability of students' science processes on the material of straight motion. This is indicated by the average value of the Post-test for both classes, namely the Experiment class of 85.34 and the control class of 64.73, in addition, based on the results of tcount of 6.60 which is greater than ttable, which is 2.80 meaning Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected and the significant value is obtained by 0.000 <0.005 so that it is obtained that the Local Wisdom-Based Media has an effect on the Science Process Ability of Students at SMP Negeri 1 Marisa
The Analysis of Misconceptions in Simple Airplane Material for 8th Grade Students in SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Gorontalo: Analisis Miskonsepsi dalam Materi Pesawat Sederhana pada Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Gorontalo
This study aims to (1) determine students' conception maps in simple machine material (2) analyze students' misconceptions in simple machine material. This research is a descriptive research. The research subjects were class VIII of SMP Muhamadiyah 3 Gorontalo City with a sample size of 25 students. The/research data were obtained from students' answers through a three-level multiple-choice diagnostic test (Three Tier Multiple Choice) and processed based on the pattern of student answers grouped into categories of understanding the concept, misconception 1, misconception 2, misconception 3 and not understanding the concept. The results showed that category 1 misconception had a percentage of 23%, misconception 2 had a percentage of 17%, and misconception 3 had a percentage of 25%.
 
The Mapping Students' Critical Thinking Ability on Vibration and Wave Material: Pemetaan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Pada Materi Getaran dan Gelombang
Students' critical thinking skills are very important in facing the challenges of the 21st century. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of students' critical thinking. The benefit of this research is to obtain test results related to students' critical thinking abilities. The methodology in this study used a survey method involving 75 students who were taken randomly. The instrument used is in the form of critical thinking questions which are distributed via gform. The data obtained was analyzed using SPSS. Based on the survey results it is known that the number of subjects is 75 respondents consisting of 48 women and 27 men. Based on the survey results, it is also known that the average student's critical thinking skills are in the good category with a score that can be explained in detail, namely giving simple explanations (8.0), building basic skills (7.9), making inferences (7.8). provide further explanation (7.6) and set strategies and techniques in solving science questions (7.9). In conclusion, the construct that has the highest average value is to provide a simple explanation with an average value of 8.0 and the lowest is to provide a further explanation of 7.6. The recommendation from this study is that students' critical thinking skills still need to be improved and teachers can use the instruments that have been used
The Students' Caring Attitude Toward Marine Environment through Integrated Natural Science Learning in SMP Negeri Tanjungpinang: Sikap Peduli Lingkungan Laut melalui Pembelajaran IPA Terpadu pada Siswa di SMP Negeri Tanjungpinang
Various marine environment damages were caused by a lack of marine environmental care attitude. This attitude must be instilled from an early age. This study aimed to find out how marine environmental care attitude of students of public junior high schools in Tanjungpinang City through integrated science learning. This research was a quantitative descriptive research in the form of a survey. This research involved 572 public secondary school students in Tanjungpinang City out of a total of 7,974 stundents who were determined using stratified random sampling. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Questions on the questionnaire were based on 4 main indicators which were based on 7 ocean literacy principles and literature review on environtmental care attitude. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively using a Likert Scale. The results showed that students' knowledge of the sea was in the good category. Students' attitudes in preserving marine environment and preventing marine environmental damages were in the good category and the contribution of integrated science learning in shaping these attitudes was also in the good category. The students’ attitudes in repairing marine environment damages was in the bad category and the contribution of integrated science learning to this attitude was in the very bad category. This did not indicate the low quality of integrated science learning. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, it was impossible for integrated science learning to be carried out in the marine environment by involving students in activities to repair marine environment damages because of physical interaction restrictions
The Development of Android-Based TMC (Thermochemical) Learning Media Assisted by Smart Apps Creator to Improve Students’ Learning Outcomes: Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran TMC (Thermochemical) berbasis Android berbantuan Smart Apps Creator untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Mahasiswa
One form of technological development in field of education is the creation of various Android-based learning media. The purpose of this study was to develop Android-based Thermochemical (TMC) learning media assisted by Smart Apps Creator to improve student s’ learning outcomes in thermochemical material. The development in this study was carried out with a 4-D design, define, design, develop, and disseminate. The results of the study show that TMC learning media is very feasible to use based on the validation results two validators,namely material experts and media experts. The learning media validation score by material experts was 75 in "Very Eligible" category, while the validation results by media experts were 56 in "Very Eligible" category. The results of the media feasibility assessment by students showed that they were in the "Very feasible" category with conversion value of 35.32. Student responses to the media are in the agree category with conversion value of 4.21. Student learning outcomes after using the TMC learning media also experienced an increase based on a comparison between student pretest and posttest scores. The average score of students' pretest before using TMC media was 54.46 while the average posttest score of students after using TMC media was 82.74. The results of the student pretest and posttest gain test have score of 0.62 in the "Moderate" category
