KITAB MANAQIB SYEKH ABDUL QADIR AL-JAILANI Resume Buku
The Book of Manaqib of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani, published in 2011, by Ajid Thohir, offers a significant contribution to the study of Sufi historiography by illuminating a genre that is often neglected in Islamic historical scholarship. Focusing on the hagiographic narratives surrounding Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani—a central figure in the Qadiriyya Sufi order—the book systematically examines the various versions and traditions of Manaqib literature, highlighting their role in shaping religious identities and spiritual practices among Muslim communities, particularly followers of the Qadiriyya-Naqshabandiyya orders. Using historical research methods, the study analyzes the structure, authorship, and epistemological foundations of several key Manaqib texts, arguing that these works are not only important sources for understanding the development of Islamic historiography but also serve to strengthen communal ties within the fiqh and Sufi traditions. The book shows how the Book of Manaqib functions as more than a record of miraculous deeds and virtues; It is an influential vehicle for spreading Islamic values, fostering piety, and cultivating collective memory in various Muslim societies.Buku Kitab Manaqib Syekh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani, merupakan buku yang diterbitkan tahun 2011. Buku ini memberikan pandangan, secara garis besar memberikan gambaran yang cukup jelas dalam mengenalkan salah satu jenis historiografi sufisme yang selama ini banyak diabaikan oleh para pengamat sejarah Islam. Metode penelitian terkait historiografi tentang eksistensi Kitab Manaqib Syekh Abdul Qadil al-Jilani KMSA ini, identik dengan metode kajian sejarah. Pada dasarnya secara argumentatif menginformasikan berbagai jenis penulisan Kitab Manaqib dan KMSA secara khusus sebagai bentuk sufi, merupakan sebagai bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari rangkaian perkembangan historiografi Islam yang sangat dinamis, serta kontribusi dan pengaruhnya dalam membentuk kekuatan komunitas pada lingkungan madzab fiqih dan tasawuf.

Cultural Identity and Economic Resistance in Banten’s Pesantrens
This study examines the resistance movement led by Kyai leaders of Salafiyah Islamic Boarding Schools (Pesantren) in Pandeglang and Serang Districts, Banten, against the establishment of PT Mayora factory in 2016. The resistance emerged in response to what was perceived as modern capitalist expansion threatening environmental sustainability and local cultural identity. Employing a qualitative approach with case study methodology, this research investigates traditional pesantren's dual role as religious educational institutions and as frontline defenders of ecological balance and cultural heritage. The study frames this resistance within political theology, analyzing how moral values derived from Islamic teachings inform opposition to capitalism's negative impacts on local communities. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that traditional pesantren serve both as religious educational institutions and as guardians of local wisdom through social-religious movements guided by the principle of Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Munkar (promoting good and preventing harm). The conflict illustrates the tension between economic interests and religious-cultural values. This study recommends strengthening traditional pesantren's role in maintaining socio-ecological sustainability within sustainable development frameworks
Transformation of Indonesian language learning: Integration of deep learning strategy with character education in the era of independent learning
This study explores the integration of deep learning strategies with character education in the teaching of Bahasa Indonesia within the framework of the Merdeka (Independent) Curriculum. The primary objective is to examine how this pedagogical approach fosters meaningful, reflective, and context-driven learning experiences for students. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, the research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Makassar using participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis involving Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language) teachers and Grade VIII students. Findings reveal that the application of deep learning strategies actively engages students through text analysis, value-based discussions, and reflective writing, enhancing not only cognitive comprehension but also the internalization of core character values such as empathy, honesty, and responsibility. Teachers act as transformative facilitators who cultivate dialogic and humanistic learning environments, in alignment with the vision of the Merdeka Curriculum. Despite challenges such as limited instructional time and varying levels of student readiness, the approach has proven effective in shaping learners who are academically capable and morally grounded. In conclusion, the integration of deep learning and character education serves as a vital bridge between academic achievement and personal development. This research contributes both theoretically and practically to the development of adaptive, value-oriented instructional models relevant to 21st-century education. Moreover, it enriches the global discourse on holistic, values-based education and underscores the critical role of teachers as transformative agents in humanizing the learning process
Pendidikan puasa dalam perpektif pendekatan transmisi: Menggali pengalaman siswa sekolah menengah atas
The purpose of this study was to explore high school students' views on fasting and their experiences in receiving fasting education, using a transmission pedagogic perspective. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design and successfully explored 139 students' experiences through questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed with the help of NVivo 12 software, which facilitated the data tabulation process. The data analysis process was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students get information about fasting and its values, but they only believe the information conveyed by credible subjects, who are able to practice fasting well and become role models for them. Environmental conditioning with structured fasting education programs, reinforced by harmonious collaboration between religious teachers, parents, and religious preachers, provides opportunities for students to gain insight into fasting as well as opportunities to practice the practice of fasting. In addition, the reinforcement received by students further boosts their motivation to fast. However, the influence of the peer environment, social media, and the lack of role models in daily life reduce students' intrinsic motivation and hinder the consistency of their character in carrying out the practice of fasting continuously.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menggali pandangan siswa memengah atas tentang puasa dan pengalaman mereka mendapatkan pendidikan puasa dalam perspektif pedagogik transmisi. Penelitian ini memilih pendekatan kualitatif desain fenomenologi dan berhasil menggali pengalaman 139 siswa melalui kuesioner. Bantuan N-Vivo 12 mempermudah tabulasi data. Data dianalisis melalui tahap reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menemukan pengalaman siswa sekolah menengah atas mendapat pendidikan puasa dalam perspektif pendekatan transmisi nilai. Siswa mendapatkan informasi tentang puasa dan nilai-nilainya, namun mereka hanya mempercayai jika informasi yang kredibel dari subjek yang mampu mempraktikannya dan menjadi teladan bagi mereka. Pengondisian lingkungan dengan program-program terstruktur yang dikuatkan oleh kolaborasi harmonis antara guru agama, orang tua, dan penceramah agama mampu memberi kesempatan kepada siswa untuk mendapatkan wawasan tentang puasa dan latihan praktiknya. Sementara itu, penguatan yang mereka terima semakin mendorong motivasi siswa. Sayang sekali, lingkungan pertemanan, pengaruh media sosial, dan kurangnya teladan menurunkan motivasi instrinsik siswa untuk konsistensi karakter habit mereka
Charismatic leadership: Contribution of Catholic theology of priesthood to leadership model for religious moderation in Indonesia
This study discusses the role of charismatic leadership in the theology of the Catholic priesthood and its contribution to the development of leadership patterns in religious moderation in Indonesia. The main problem raised is the dominance of the hierarchical dimension in the Catholic Church, which can also be found in other religions and tends to ignore the charismatic dimension that can reduce tensions between religious communities. The purpose of this study is to identify theological elements in the Catholic priesthood and charismatic elements that are useful for developing a more inclusive model of religious leadership that supports religious moderation. The methods used were content analysis of literature in Church documents and the views of Catholic theologians, and their correlation with key findings based on qualitative analysis of survey data on charismatic pastoral practices among Catholic priests. Other data used include literature on religious moderation and charismatic leadership theory. The results of this study show that charismatic leadership, inspired by the theology of the Catholic priesthood, provides insight into approaches to religious moderation and reveals great potential at the level of religious leadership to create an atmosphere of peaceful fellowship among religious communities. This leadership model can mitigate interreligious conflicts in Indonesia and offers a new perspective for developing models of religious leadership that are more charismatic than hierarchical, based on an understanding of charisma as a gift from God
IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM PENDIDIKAN ISLAM BERKELANJUTAN BERDASARKAN TAFSIR TEMATIK AYAT-AYAT PENDIDIKAN DALAM AL-QUR'AN
Islamic education has a crucial role in building students' character and morals based on Qur'anic values. However, social changes and technological developments require the Islamic education curriculum to continue to adapt. This research aims to analyze the implementation of a sustainable Islamic education curriculum with a thematic interpretation approach to educational verses in the Qur'an. The method used is a literature review, focusing on the curriculum content component in the Qur'an. This curriculum includes the concept of teaching and learning, faith education (aqidah), Islam (shari’a), and ihsan (morals). The concept of teaching and learning is explained in Q.S. Al-'Alaq verses 1-5, which emphasizes the importance of knowledge. Faith education is found in Q.S. Al-Baqarah verse 133, which teaches tawhid. Islamic education is explained in Q.S. An-Nuur verses 56-57, which contains orders for prayer, zakat, and obedience to the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Meanwhile, moral education is found in Q.S. Al-Isra verses 23-24, which emphasizes doing good to parents. This Qur'an-based curriculum is expected to form a relevant and sustainable Islamic education. The results of the research show that the thematic interpretation-based curriculum can integrate intellectual, spiritual, moral, and social aspects in a balanced manner and is relevant to the challenges of the times. The implementation of this curriculum is expected to create Islamic education that not only teaches science but also instills character and moral values that are important in everyday life.Pendidikan Islam berperan penting dalam membangun karakter dan moral siswa berdasarkan nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an. Namun, perubahan sosial dan perkembangan teknologi menuntut kurikulum pendidikan Islam untuk terus beradaptasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi kurikulum pendidikan Islam berkelanjutan dengan pendekatan tafsir tematik terhadap ayat-ayat pendidikan dalam Al-Qur'an.Metode yang digunakan adalah telaah pustaka, dengan fokus pada komponen isi kurikulum dalam Al-Qur’an. Kurikulum ini mencakup konsep belajar mengajar, pendidikan keimanan (akidah/tauhid), keislaman (syariah), dan ihsan (akhlak). Konsep belajar mengajar dijelaskan dalam Q.S. Al-‘Alaq ayat 1-5, yang menekankan pentingnya ilmu pengetahuan. Pendidikan keimanan terdapat dalam Q.S. Al-Baqarah ayat 133, yang mengajarkan tauhid. Pendidikan keislaman dijelaskan dalam Q.S. An-Nuur ayat 56-57, yang berisi perintah shalat, zakat, dan ketaatan kepada Rasulullah SAW. Sementara itu, pendidikan akhlak terdapat dalam Q.S. Al-Isra ayat 23-24, yang menekankan berbuat baik kepada orang tua. Kurikulum berbasis Al-Qur’an ini diharapkan dapat membentuk pendidikan Islam yang relevan dan berkelanjutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum berbasis tafsir tematik dapat mengintegrasikan aspek intelektual, spiritual, moral, dan sosial secara seimbang serta relevan dengan tantangan zaman. Penerapan kurikulum ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan pendidikan Islam yang tidak hanya mengajarkan ilmu pengetahuan, tetapi juga menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter dan moral yang penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari
Consumer Perception and Challenges of Halal Certification in the Food and Beverage Industry in Indonesia
Halal certification in the food and beverage industry represents a complex multidimensional ecosystem in Indonesia, encompassing consumer perceptions, regulatory challenges, and strategic economic implications. This comprehensive library research explores the intricate dynamics of halal certification through a systematic analysis of contemporary scientific literature published between 2019-2024. Utilizing content and comparative analysis methods, the study investigates consumer awareness, regulatory frameworks, economic dimensions, and technological transformations in halal certification. Research findings reveal significant consumer awareness, with 87.2% of Muslim consumers considering halal certification a primary product selection criterion. The study identifies structural challenges in regulatory implementation, methodological complexities in verification processes, and the strategic economic potential of halal-certified products. Technological information platforms emerge as crucial mechanisms for enhancing transparency and accountability. The research recommends a holistic, collaborative approach integrating perspectives from religious scholars, food technologists, and management experts to develop a credible, sustainable halal certification ecosystem
The role of madrasah-based management in improving the quality of education: Case studies at Tasikmalaya madrasahs
Improving the quality of madrasah education is a strategic imperative in addressing the challenges of educational relevance, efficiency, and equity within Indonesia’s decentralized education system. This study aims to analyze the role of Madrasah-Based Management (MBM) in enhancing educational quality through case studies at three state madrasahs in Tasikmalaya Regency: Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs—Islamic Junior High School) Negeri Pamoyanan, MTs Negeri Singaparna, and MTs Negeri Sukamanah. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, and examined using Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model. The findings reveal that the effectiveness of MBM is largely determined by transformational leadership, teacher capacity-building through continuous professional development, and active community involvement in educational decision-making. Among the three institutions, MTs Negeri Sukamanah demonstrates a more structured and responsive managerial approach, while MTs Pamoyanan and MTs Singaparna still struggle with financial limitations, insufficient human resources, and low public engagement. The study highlights that MBM is not merely an administrative model but a transformative strategy that requires the synergy of institutional autonomy, supportive policies, and meaningful partnerships with local communities. As a policy contribution, this research recommends strengthening madrasah leadership training, aligning curricula with local values, increasing performance-based funding, and expanding public education literacy as key foundations for sustainable quality improvement in Indonesia's madrasah system
The role of local government policy in enhancing zakat revenue: A case study of BAZNAS in Serang Regency
This study examines how local government policy contributes to the effectiveness of zakat revenue collection, focusing on the case of BAZNAS in Serang Regency, Indonesia. Zakat, an Islamic fiscal obligation, serves not only as an act of worship but also as a mechanism for socio-economic redistribution. Despite its potential, zakat collection in many regions remains suboptimal due to fragmented policies and weak institutional synergy. This research addresses a critical gap in global Islamic finance literature by investigating zakat governance at the subnational level, especially in a decentralized administrative context. Using a qualitative method that includes document analysis and semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders, the study explores how formal regulations, government facilitation, and inter-agency coordination shape institutional performance. The findings reveal that local policies—such as mandatory zakat deductions for civil servants, operational support, and integration of zakat into regional development planning—significantly enhance zakat income and institutional legitimacy. However, challenges such as limited bureaucratic capacity, inconsistent implementation, and fragmented institutional roles hinder optimal performance. The study concludes that effective zakat governance requires not only normative alignment with Islamic values but also robust policy design, administrative professionalism, and participatory mechanisms. By bridging institutional theory and Islamic public finance, this study offers a contextualized model of state–faith institutional synergy that may be applied to other Muslim-majority countries or regions with similar governance dynamics
Hate Speech, Buzzers, and Islamic Groups: Power Plays in Indonesia 2024
This study aims to analyze the shifting causes of hate speech on social media during Indonesia's 2024 political year, from individual motivations to structural factors involving economic and political interests, particularly in the context of religion and culture-based hate speech. It also examines how Islamic mass organizations—such as the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI), Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), and Muhammadiyah—respond to the phenomenon of buzzers spreading hate through religious narratives and political identity. This research uses a qualitative approach, employing online observation, in-depth interviews, and literature review. The main findings reveal that hate speech does not solely stem from ideological fanaticism but also from economic pressures and a well-organized digital political architecture. Buzzers operate as paid agents within a content-production system that profits from hate, rather than acting on personal or ideological impulses. Meanwhile, the responses of Islamic organizations remain largely normative and moralistic. However, groups like NU have begun to adopt more structural interpretations of the issue. Despite this shift, the absence of systematic digital strategies and economic empowerment efforts has prevented these responses from addressing the root causes. This research offers an original contribution by connecting the economic dimensions of hate speech production with the socio-religious responses to it—an intersection that has received limited attention in studies of media and digital politics in Indonesia
