Perbaikan Penjatahan Air Irigasi Cara Giliran Berdasarkan Kehilangan Waktu Tempuh Aliran Air di Saluran
Study of time allocation in rotational irrigation system was carried out in Cikesik Irrigation Scheme, Cirebon, West Java during the dry season of 1989/1990. The study aims to estimate lime loss factor in water allocation and distribution, and to demonstrate the use of time loss factor for improvement of water allocation and distribution by rotational method. Results of the study show that during the water flowing in the canal systems, there is time toss beside hydraulics and volumetric losses. All these types of losses will significantly influence on opportunity of offtake time by each tertiary blocks, and therefore, its should be used together as considerations for allocating and distributing irrigation water. By using the improved method, equity in water distribution as the main objective of the rotational water distribution will be improved
Iron Protein Complex in Soybean Tempe
In this study some characteristics of iron-protein complex in soybean tempe were investigated. Tempe was prepared by fermenting dehulled cooked soybeans at 30°C for 0; 24; 48; 72 and 96 hours, respectively. Tempe protein was extracted using Tris-maleate butfer at pH 6.5 and the extract was dialyzed in cellulose tube MM. 12,000. The residue was fractionated using Sepharose 6B/CI-6B gel filtration. The protein and iron distribution in those fractions and their molecular weight were determined. Results showed that fermentation increasing the number of protein fractions. The molecular weight of protein fractions was in the range of 5.000 - 70,000 daltons. Iron was distributed in all fraction measured. The percentage of protein and iron in fractions with molecular weight > 70,000 daltons decreased with longer fermentation time. Pemakaian Mesin Penyerap Daya Roda Untuk Uji Kinerja Traktor di Dalam Ruangan
Pengujian kinerja penarikan traktor yang biasa dilakukan di at as jalan beraspal mengandung beberapa kelemahan. Kondisi pengujian sangat berlainan dengan kondisi kerja traktor sesungguhnya di lapangan. Pengujian tidak mungkin dilakukan dalam interval slip roda yang besar, karena pertimbangan stabilitas traktor, dan hasil yang diperoleh sangat dipengaruhi oleh jenis ban yang digunakan dan kondisi permukaan jalan yang dilalui. Hasil pengujian kinerja penarikan di satu tempat•dan tempat lainnya dengan metoda tersebut dapat bervariasi sampai 20 persen. Untuk mengatasi kelemahan ini, diperlukan metoda alternatif pengukuran kinerja yang dapat membebaskan pengaruh ban dan kondisi perrnukaan jalan, dengan cara mengukur Iangsung daya poros roda melalui sistem elektro-hidrolik. Dengan cam ini pengujian kinerja traktor dapal dilakukan di dalam ruangan yang terlindung dari perubahan cuaca dan apabila diperlukan, kondisi atmosfir ruangan dapat dikontrol sesuai dengan yang dikehendaki
Sifat Penyerapan Lembab Bubuk Buah Durian dan Sirsak
Moisture sorption characteristics of durian and soursop fruit powder were studied. Durian and soursop fruit powder moisture sorption isotherm data were best fitted with cubic polynomial equation curve. Soursop fruit powder was more hygroscopic then durian powder. The primary, secondary and tertiary bound water zone of durian and soursop fruit powder were located at a.: 0 - 030, 030-0.58, and 0.58 - 1.0, respectively. The critical moisture content of durian and soursop fruit powder, i.e. M.-BET, Mp, M., and ni; were decreased with increasing temperature.
Kesesuaian Hubungan Antara Jenis Pompa, Sumber Air, dan Tanaman yang Dialiri
The research was conducted at Belawa, Wajo, South Sulawesi during dry season 011994/1995. Furrow irrigation system was used on the research. Axial type pumps were used to lilt water from creek at depths of 2 m, whereas centrifugal type pumps lifted water from the shallow well groundwater at depths of 15 m. Both type of pumps were used to irrigate soybean and maize crops with the total area for each plot of 500 m2. Maize and soybean were irrigated using furrow. Axial pump diameters and engine powers during the research were the following: 4" (6 HP), 6" (8 HP), and 8" (10 HP) respectively; while 2" (4 HP), 3" (5 HP), 4" (10 HP) for centrifugal pump. Objective of the research was to optimize benefit income from pump operations based on type of pump, irrigation type, source of water, land preparation, type of crop (s), irrigation efficiency, and yield. Results of the research shows that optimum performance among the centrifugal pump was achieved by pump diameter of 4" with optimum discharge 11.8 1/s, furrow length of 110 m, and cost of water Rp. 85.555, /season. Centrifugal pump type is suitable for soybean crop irrigation. Optimum benefit for axial type pump was obtained by PS-1 with the discharge of 35 Vs, length of furrow 180, cost of water Rp. 40.650,-/season, and suitable for maize irrigatio
Aspergillus Proteolitik Indigenous dari Koji dan Kemampuannya Mendegradasi Aflatoksin B1
Legume and cereals are always exposed to the danger of fungal contamination. Among such fungi, some species of the genus Aspergillus are potential of aflatoxins producer. Aflatoxin BI (AFB1) which is the most carcinogenic mycotoxins , known very stable under cooking condition and other processing factors. The removal of AFB1 by degradation or detoxification is critical to reduce risk to human health. Microbiological degradation is a promising method for AFB1 degradation compared to others. The aim of this research was to isolate the proteolytic Aspergillus strain from "koji" and to determine its ability to degrade AFB). Out of 18 strains of Aspergillus, 16 strains were found proteolytic and only 5 strains had no afiatoxigenic properties, but all of them were able to degrade AFB1. There were no spesific pattern of the rate of AFBI degradation. Strain of KKB4 was identified as Aspergillus oryzae, that possess the highest ability to degrade AFB1. Two kind of substances were formed after degradation which were more polar than AFB1. The rate of AFB) uptake by Aspergillus oryzae KKB4 was similar with that of mycelia! growth. Peningkatan Nilai Gizi, Sifat Organoleptik dan Sifat Pati Sagu Mutiara dengan Penambahan Buah Kenari (Canarium ovatum)
Sago is a potential local crop for food diversification program. The research aims to 1) improve the nutrition of pearl sago product through canary addition 2) evaluate of chemical-physical and organoleptic quality of pearl sago 3) study the influence of packaging to the product during storage and 4) to predict the shelf life of pearl sago product. The research was done in two steps : I) product development through canary addition of 0 %, 3 %, 6 %, 9 %, 12 % and 15% to pearl sago. 2) packaging and storage the pearl sago using LDPE and PP/alufo/PP. The result shows that canary addition of 9 % and PP/alufo/PP packaging is the best treatment for pearl sago. The product has contents of moisture, protein, fat, ash, carbohydrate and energy of 5.83%, 5.53%, 6.72%, 0.81%, 81.14%, 407.17 Kal, respectively, with shelf life of 256 days
