    The Eighth Graders\u27 Higher Order Thinking Skills in Solving Numeracy Problems-Based Minimum Competency Assessment

    The Indonesian government makes efforts to improve students\u27 higher-order thinking skills by implementing a Minimum Competency Assessment or Assessment Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) as a substitute for the National Examination. With the implementation of the AKM, it is necessary to find out how students can solve these questions. This research analyzed students\u27 higher-order thinking skills in solving AKM-type math problems. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research consisting of 3 stages: the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the data analysis stage. The research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year with the research subjects of eleven 8th grade students of SMP IT Raudhatul Ulum Sakatiga, South Sumatra, and SMPN 11 Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan. Data collection techniques used are tests, documentation, observation, and interviews. The data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that students with high abilities could solve several questions that required analytical power but were still weak in solving questions that required evaluation. Other students still need to improve their analytical and evaluation skills

    Kemampuan Literasi Matematika Dalam Penyelesaian Masalah Aturan Sinus Dan Kosinus Ditinjau Dari Pemahaman Konsep

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal materi aturan sinus dan kosinus. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek yang diambil yakni 6 siswa di kelas X-Mipa 2 MAN 1 Grobogan berdasarkan hasil tes pemahaman konsep yang berkemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan 3 tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diketahui bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan matematika rendah belum sepenuhnya memenuhi indikator, Siswa dengan kemampuan sedang memenuhi sebagian besar indikator literasi matematika Siswa berkemampuan tinggi memenuhi indikator yakni dapat melaksanakan prosedur dengan jelas, mampu memecahkan masalah dan menerapkan strategi yang sederhana

    Analysis of the Level of Understanding of the Concept of the Isoline Method of Linear Program Material Based on APOS Theory in terms of Learning Interest

    One of the methods that can be used to find solutions to linear programming models is the Graphical Method. Graphical methods are divided into the isoline method and the extreme point method. Based on initial observations and interviews, it was found that around 54% of students still needed help understanding the isoline method material in solving linear programs, especially when given real problems related to everyday life. In addition, students\u27 learning interest in linear programming courses also varies. So the purpose of research in this article is to describe the level of understanding of students who have high, medium, and low learning interest in linear programming material, precisely the isoline method material, in determining the optimum solution. The method in this study is a qualitative method with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire method for data on student learning interests and semi-structured test and interview methods to describe the level of student understanding based on APOS theory. The instruments in this study were questionnaires, written tests, and interview guidelines. Checking the validity of the data in this study used time triangulation. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the research show that: (1) subjects with high learning interest are at the level of schematic understanding; (2) subjects with interest in learning are at the level of understanding objects; and (3) subjects with low interest in learning are at the level of understanding of Action

    Analisis Efektivitas E-LKPD (Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik Elektronik) Berbasis Etnomatematika Batu Akik Ditinjau dari Kemampuan Awal Siswa

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas e-LKPD berbasis etnomatematika terhadap hasil belajar matematika yang ditinjau dari kemampuan awal siswa, serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi antara jenis e-LKPD dan tingkat kemampuan awal siswa terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian eksperimen semu. Subjek uji coba penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Sukodono 1 dan SDN Sukodono 2 Kecamatan Donorojo, Kabupaten Pacitan dengan masing-masing kelas diambil sampel secara acak sebanyak 15 siswa. Adapun objek penelitian ini adalah kemampuan awal dan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes dan teknik dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan anava dua faktor, dimana faktor pertama adalah jenis e-LKPD dan faktor kedua adalah tingkat kemampuan awal siswa. Hasil analisis anava dua faktor pada taraf signifikansi 5% menunjukkan bahwa: 1) e-LKPD berbasis etnomatematika lebih efektif daripada e-LKPD konvensional. (2) Hasil belajar siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan awal tinggi lebih baik daripada siswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal sedang dan rendah, dan (3) tidak ada interaksi antara jenis e-LKPD dan tingkat kemampuan awal siswa berdasarkan hasil belajar matematika siswa

    Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Ditinjau dari Gaya Belajar terhadap Hasil Belajar Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Gelumbang

    Penelitian yang dilakukan ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian quasi eksperimen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh perbedaan gaya belajar dan model pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Gelumbang. Siswa kelas 8 SMP Negeri 3 Gelumbang merupakan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 53 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji Anova 2 jalur berbantuan aplikasi SPSS. Uji Prasyarat yang digunakan adalah Uji Shapiro Wilk dan uji Leven Statistic. Nilai Sig. yang didapat untuk uji anova 2 jalurnya adalah 0,517 > 0,05 sehingga hasil yang kita peroleh adalah : (1) tidak terdapat  pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa; (2) tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan gaya belajar yang digunakan siswa terhadap hasil belajar yang mereka dapatkan; (3) tidak ada interaksi antara gaya belajar dan model pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar. Hasil yang kta dapat ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti : (1) Intrumen yang diujikan tidak mencakup tujuan pembelajaran & (2) Instrumen yang diberikan bersifat abstrak. Penggunaan instrument yang tepat dan sesuai dapat membantu untuk penelitian lainnya

    Development of Rujuku Mobile Learning Apps on Integer Operation Material as Alternative Media

    Since the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020, Indonesia has implemented distance education by optimizing the use of technology. Therefore, the researcher developed the Rujuku Mobile Learning Apps Development on Integer Operation Material in Class VII SMP/MTs to support the implementation of distance learning during the pandemic. This study aimed to develop the RUJUKU application and determine student responses in learning after using the developed media. This development research uses the ADDIE method. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with data processing techniques analyzed using percentage data analysis techniques. The results showed that RUJUKU was suitable for use, attractive, and easy to use. This is based on the validation results in terms of material, an average of 89.70%, and in terms of media, an average of 88.81%. Student response is quite good, with a percentage of 89.06%. Based on that result, this research significantly impacted the integers\u27 learning process of addition and subtraction operations during this pandemic

    Development of Interactive Multimedia Using Adobe Animate Software on the Material of Sequences and Series For Class XI MAN Bintan

    In the implementation of the teaching and learning process, the use of learning media is still not optimally applied, besides seeing the obstacles experienced by students in learning mathematics, especially the material for rows and Series. So, a solution is needed to deal with the problems that occur. Based on the results of interviews conducted with a mathematics subject teacher, it was found that the teaching materials required by students to support mathematics learning with the demands of the use of technology were in the form of teaching materials that could be run on a computer or smartphone. This study aims to describe the development of learning media in the form of interactive multimedia using Adobe Animate on the material of sequences and Series for class XI Islamic High School (MAN) Bintan, which is valid and practical. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE research model, which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation; in this current research, it was only until the implementation stage. The subjects of this study were 20 students of class XI MAN Bintan. The types of data in this study are quantitative and qualitative data. Research instruments are media and material validation sheets and questionnaires for teacher and student responses to be checked for practicality. The results showed: (1) the validity of interactive multimedia based on the assessment of media and material experts got an average percentage of 81,37% validity with very valid criteria. (2) the practicality of interactive multimedia based on the questionnaire responses of teachers and students after using interactive multimedia got an average percentage of 89,34% practicality with very practical criteria

    Analysis of Mathematics Problem-Solving Ability of Junior High School Students in Emotional Intelligence

    This study aims to describe the problem-solving skills that students learn from emotional intelligence. This type of research is descriptive and qualitative. The instruments used are questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The questionnaire instrument was used to measure students\u27 emotional intelligence. The test instrument was used to measure problem-solving skills, and interviews were conducted to learn more about problem-solving skills. The subjects of this study were 5 of 15 students from class VIII who were taken as a sample and then given an ability test and analysis based on Krulik and Rudnick\u27s problem-solving steps. Subjects with high emotional intelligence can understand the context of the problem and represent the problem with pictures. Students can link between information, use appropriate strategies or steps, and relevant answers and conclusions. The subject with medium emotional intelligence is rewriting information on the problem using mathematical models and their language. Subjects can relate information, but not all students\u27 answers are correct. Subjects with low emotional intelligence do not make representations or use clear problem-solving strategies. Subjects cannot relate information, so they do wrong calculations and only guess the answer

    Constraints of Blended Learning Implementation in Higher Education

    Blended learning is a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning. Implementing blended learning in mathematics learning has some problems, one of which is proving mathematics. This study aims to describe the obstacles to implementing blended learning in universities. The research was carried out at two universities in Indonesia located on the islands of Sumatra and Java. The subject of this research is the lecturer of the Mathematics Education Study Program at the two universities. The data collection technique used is an open questionnaire. The data were analyzed qualitatively and descriptively quantitatively. The study\u27s results stated that lecturers faced many obstacles in implementing blended learning, mainly Internet, Time, Competence, and Student Personality

    Students\u27 Mathematic Problem Solving Ability with Problem Solving Learning Model in Class VII SMP Negeri 2 Singkawang

    Students still need to improve their capacity for solving mathematical puzzles. The study aimed to evaluate how well the Problem-Solving learning model helped students become more adept at solving algebra-related mathematical problems. This study is an illustration of hybrid research (Mixed Methods). Class VIIA served as the experimental class, and Class VIID served as the control class for the study. Test forms, observation forms, and interviews served as instruments. Statistics are used in quantitative data analysis, whereas in qualitative data analysis, data is reduced, presented, and conclusions are drawn. The findings revealed that: (1) Mathematical problem-solving skills were improved in Problem-Solving Learning Model classes compared to classes using the Discovery Learning Model; (2) The Problem-Solving Learning Model defined what was meant by active student participation in class, with the percentage of student activity obtained being 41.12% at the first meeting with the quite active category and 89.74% at the second meeting with the very active category
