Triangel Concept Learning Design Using Palembang Cultural for Class VII Students
The triangle is still a topic worth discussing because many pupils still want assistance in comprehending the notion of triangles as a whole. The research aims to produce a triangular concept learning design using the Palembang cultural context for VII grade students with augmented reality technology. The research subjects comprised 19 students from Class VII of Al-Azhar 33 Islamic Middle School in Palembang. The method used is design research, divided into preparing for the experiment, and design experiment, divided into two cycles, namely pilot experiments and teaching experiments, and finally, retrospective analysis. The data in this research was collected by observation, interview, documentation, and test. The instruments used in this research are video and field notes for observation and interview, LAS for documentation, and post-test for test. The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative. The final result of this study is Local Instruction Theory (LIT) which contains the learning process in 4 activities, namely describing the triangles of the Musi 6 Bridge, identifying the properties of triangles based on side lengths, identifying the properties of triangles based on the size of the angles and solving problems related to the properties of triangles based on the length of the sides and the size of the angles. The results show that the cultural defined context can be used as a reference point in triangle material in class VII SMP.This research was carried out with the aim of producing a triangular concept learning design using the Palembang cultural context for class VII students with augmented reality technology. The results of the learning experiment show that the cultural context of Palembang where this research focuses on the Musi 6 Palembang Bridge can be used as a reference point in triangle material in class VII SMP.

The Practicality of Plane and Space Geometry Textbook as Teaching Materials in Mathematics Education Department of UMRAH
This study aims to produce teaching materials in the Geometry of Plane and Space course integrated with the maritime context of the Riau Islands. This research is a solution to problems arising from a need for teaching materials to the characteristics of students in the Mathematics Education Department of UMRAH. The 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate) is used as the research development model. The research has reached the final activity of the Development stage, namely the practicality test of textbooks produced. The instrument used in the practicality test is a practicality questionnaire with a Likert scale. The evaluation results show that the textbooks produced through this development research have met the applicable criteria for use as teaching materials, with an achievement level of 72,85%. Thus, the textbook produced with the title Plane and Space Geometry Textbook has met the practical to use as teaching material in the Geometry of Plane and Space course. Integrating the maritime context of the Riau Islands helps students connect the content of teaching materials with their daily life. It helps them more easily understand the new knowledge
Sentiment analysis of prospective mathematics teacher on reasoning and proof questions using Naïve-Bayes classification
Reasoning and proof is the ability to arrange patterns, make conjectures, test conjectures, and carry out logical proof, which can be seen as negative or positive for students when solving proof problems requiring reasoning skills. Prospective mathematics teachers in the Mathematics Education Study Program of FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya became the subject of this study. As the research instrument, the questionnaire was designed to explore students\u27 opinions and responses to problems with significant logical difficulty. Sentiment analysis was used to analyze the opinions of prospective mathematics teachers on reasoning and proof questions by grouping positive and negative opinions. The technique used in this study uses the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The classification results in this study were 58.2% positive and 41.86.7% negative, with a total of 70 data. The final result achieved an accuracy value of 53.33%, signifying the reliability of the Naïve Bayes algorithm in understanding and classifying the complex spectrum of sentiments expressed by students. The implications of these findings go beyond sentiment analysis, providing valuable insights for educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers in designing learning strategies and educational policies that can improve mathematics students\u27 reasoning and proof abilities.Reasoning and proof adalah kemampuan menyusun pola, membuat dugaan, menguji dugaan, melakukan justifikasi bukti logis, yang dapat dipandang negative atau positive bagi mahasiswa ketika menyelesaikan soal pembuktian yang membutuhkan kemampuan penalaran. Analisis sentimen digunakan untuk menganalisis pandangan atau pendapat mahasiswa calon guru matematika terhadap soal reasoning and proof dengan mengelompokan ulasan positive dan negative. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan algoritma Naïve Bayes. Hasil klasifikasi pada penelitian ini terdapat 58,2% berlabel positive dan 41,86.7% negative dengan jumlah 70 data. Hasil akhir mendapatkan nilai accuracy sebesar 53,33%
Classroom Action Research: What Are Mathematics Teachers’ Problems in the Implementation?
This study aims to describe the problems of mathematic teachers in doing classroom action research (CAR). Specifically, this study aims to: (1) Describe the problem of mathematics teachers in planning, implementing, and making reports on the results of classroom action research; (2) Describe the factors causing the problems of mathematics teachers in planning, implementing, and making reports on the results of classroom action research. The study applied a descriptive method. The samples were civil servant mathematics teachers who served in several State Junior High Schools, State High Schools, and State Vocational Schools in Tanjung Pinang City. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed and presented descriptively. Some of them were caused by: 1) being busy; 2) difficulty getting literature; 3) Lack of technology mastery; 4) the CAR training could be more optimal.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan problematika yang dialami guru matematika dalam melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas. Secara khusus, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan problema guru matematika dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan membuat laporan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas; (2) Mendeskripsikan faktor penyebab problema guru matematika dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan membuat laporan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian menerapkan metode deskriptif. Sampel penelitian merupakan guru-guru matematika PNS yang bertugas di beberapa SMP Negeri, SMA Negeri dan SMK Negeri Kota Tanjungpinang. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data dinalisis dan disajikan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 84,6% guru kurang mampu dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan PTK, 88,5% guru kurang mampu dalam menyusun laporan hasil PTK. Untuk jenjang SMPN, 100% guru matematika PNS kurang mampu dalam melakukan PTK, baik pada tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan maupun penyusunan laporan. Beberapa penyebab problema guru matematika dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan membuat laporan PTK adalah: 1) adanya persepsi keterbatasan waktu alias sibuk; 2) keterbatasan literatur; 3) Kurang menguasai teknologi; 4) belum optimalnya pelatihan PTK
Development of Teaching Module Using the Problem-Based Learning Model Based on Wadai Banjar Ethnomathematics in the Topic of Linear Equation
Many students need help to understand linear equation material and obtain low math scores. One of the efforts to overcome this was to research and produce a teaching module using a Problem-Based Learning model based on Wadai Banjar\u27s ethnomathematics material of linear equations that is valid, practical, and effective for the learning. The type of research used is the type of 4-D model development research. The data collection technique used a validation sheet by two validators, a practicality questionnaire filled out by a math teacher and 8 students with various abilities, and a learning achievement test for 27 class VII C students of SMP Negeri 18 Banjarmasin. There are 3 analyses conducted in this study: validity, practicality, and effectiveness test analysis. The results showed an average score of 3,58 was obtained from the validator in the very valid category, an average score from the questionnaire was 3,23 in the practical category, and 66,67% of students obtained an evaluation test score above the average score in the effective category.Peserta didik masih banyak yang kesulitan dalam memahami materi persamaan linear dan memperoleh nilai matematika yang rendah. Salah satu usaha untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul ajar menggunakan model Problem Based Learning berbasis etnomatematika wadai khas Banjar pada materi persamaan linear yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Sehingga modul ajar tersebut layak digunakan sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian pengembangan model 4-D. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi yang diisi oleh dua validator, angket praktikalitas yang diisi oleh guru matematika dan 8 peserta didik dengan kemampuan beragam, serta tes hasil belajar 27 peserta didik kelas VII C SMP Negeri 18 Banjarmasin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, diperoleh skor rata-rata dari validator sebesar 3,58 dalam kategori sangat valid, skor rata-rata dari angket sebesar 3,23 dalam kategori praktis, dan sebanyak 66,67% peserta didik memperoleh nilai tes evaluasi di atas nilai rata-rata dalam kategori efektif. Dengan demikian, secara keseluruhan berdasarkan skor rata-rata yang diperoleh terbukti bahwa modul ajar menggunakan model Problem Based Learning berbasis etnomatematika wadai khas Banjar materi persamaan linear valid, praktis, dan efektif

Students still have limited algebraic reasoning skills, so a learning model called Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is utilized as a teaching strategy to help student develop their algebraic thinking abilities. This study uses the learning model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to the algebraic thinking skills of class VIII students. The method of research is descriptive qualitative research. The students in class VIII students of SMPN 1 Lahat participated in this study. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) worksheet in accordance with three algebraic thinking abilities: generational activities, transformational activities, and global, meta-level, and mathematical activities. Data for the study came from observations, interviews and written exams. Data from the results of observation sheets are used to see the emergence of indicators of students\u27 algebraic thinking during learning with a total of 2 sessions; data from the results of written tests are used to categorize students\u27 algebraic thinking abilities after learning, taking 2 students from each category, and interviews to clarify the results of students\u27 answers. The findings of this study show that students possess a range of low, medium, and high levels of algebraic thinking ability. The result of the implementation learning model showed that 14 students were in the medium category and 17 students were in the low category.Kemampuan berpikir aljabar peserta didik masih terbilang rendah, maka dari itu digunakan model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) sebagai salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir aljabar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir aljabar peserta didik kelas VIII dengan model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Lahat. Data penelitian diambil dari hasil observasi, tes tertulis, dan wawancara. Model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dengan menggunakan LKPD sesuai dengan 3 indikator kemampuan berpikir aljabar yaitu generational activities, Tranformational activities, dan global, meta-level, mathematical activities. Hasil dari penelitian ini siswa mempunyai kemampuan berpikir aljabar yang berbeda dengan tingkat kemampuan rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. hasil dari penerapan model pembelajaran menunjukan bahwa 14 peserta didik berada di kategori sedang dan 17 peserta berada di kategori renda
Tari Boria Etnomatematika pada Tari Boria di Pulau Penyengat: Etnomatematika pada Tari Boria di Pulau Penyengat
Boria dance is an art from Penyengat Island that shows the skill of marching and dancing to the rhythm of music in various song rhythms. The dance is performed by paying attention to the floor pattern, appropriateness of Movement, and appropriate rhythm. All of this is done to achieve the beauty of the dance. This research examines the ethnomathematics of the Boria dance on Penyengat Island. This research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The data source for this research is arts activists at the Penyengat Heritage Cultural Studio. Data was collected by observation, interviews, and documentation with the main instrument, the researcher himself. Next, data analysis was carried out using domain, taxonomy, component, and cultural theme analysis. The research results found that there were mathematical activities, namely counting the beats made by dancers, measuring the distance between dancers before and after entering the stage, and designing the movements and floor patterns of the Boria Dance. The mathematical concepts in this research are multiplication, non-standard units of measurement, angles, and flat figures.Tari boria merupakan kesenian dari Pulau Penyengat dengan memperlihatkan kepandaian baris-berbaris dan menari dengan mengikuti irama musik dalam berbagai irama lagu. Tariannya dilakukan dengan memperhatikan pola lantai, kesesuaian gerak, dan kesesuaian ritme. Semua itu dilakukan agar tercapai keindahan tari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengkaji etnomatematika yang terdapat pada tari Boria di Pulau Penyengat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah Pegiat Seni di Sanggar Budaya Warisan Penyengat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan instrument utamanya yaitu peneliti sendiri. Selanjutnya analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis domain, taksonomi, komponensial, dan tema budaya. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa adanya aktivitas matematika yaitu menghitung ketukan yang dilakukan oleh penari, aktivitas mengukur jarak antar penari sebelum memasuki pentas dan setelah memasuki pentas, dan aktivitas mendesain gerakan serta pola lantai Tari Boria. Konsep matematika yang terdapat pada penelitian ini adalah perkalian, satuan ukur tidak baku, sudut, dan bangun datar
Interactive PowerPoint Media Based on Problem-Based Learning on Set Material
The use of learning media will have an impact on increasing the motivation of students. However, the media is not the only factor determining the success of achieving learning outcomes. Learning strategies such as approaches, methods, and models will affect the success of Learning. This study aims to develop interactive PowerPoint media that utilizes problem-based Learning on the set material. This Research and Development study follows the Alessi & Trolip development model with planning, design, and development steps. At the development stage, this study only reached the alpha test stage to check media validity. Data was collected by testing the validity of the material, language, and media experts, which was carried out with the help of mathematics education lecturers and mathematics teachers at junior high schools. Data processing techniques use MSR (method of summated ratings). The validity test results by material and language experts obtained a value of 90.81%, with a very good category. It indicates that the material and language aspects of media are valid. Moreover, the media aspect validity test results in a value of 74.02%, with a good category indicating that the media is valid
Mathematics PISA Problems Using Local Context for Elementary School Students
Referring to the results of an international survey, one of which is PISA, the achievements of Indonesian students are still below the global average score. The main problem that is the causative factor is that students need to be used to solving similar problems. The issues used in PISA questions are familiar to only some students in Indonesia. This study aimed to develop PISA model mathematical problems with valid and reliable local contexts and potential impacts. The type of research conducted is development research using the ADDIE model with the stages of analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The test subjects were fifth-grade elementary school students in Bengkulu and South Sumatra provinces. The research instruments were product development validity sheets, legibility sheets, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis consisted of validity analysis using the Aiken Index and reliability with Cronbach Alpha. The study results show that PISA model mathematical questions with the regional context meet the validity, reliability, and potential impact criteria. The results of the implementation test showed that 11 students (27.50%) were in the low category, 32 students (55.00%), and 7 students (17.50%) were in the high category.Mengacu pada hasil survei internasional salah satunya PISA, prestasi siswa Indonesia masih berada di bawah rata-rata skor internasional. Masalah utama yang menjadi faktor penyebabnya adalah siswa belum terbiasa memecahkan masalah serupa. Soal-soal yang digunakan dalam soal PISA tidak asing bagi setiap siswa di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan model PISA masalah matematika dengan konteks lokal yang valid dan reliabel serta potensi dampaknya. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE dengan tahapan analisis, desain, pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Subjek uji coba adalah siswa kelas V SD di Provinsi Bengkulu dan Sumatera Selatan. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validitas pengembangan produk, lembar keterbacaan, dan angket respon siswa. Analisis data terdiri dari analisis validitas menggunakan Aiken Index dan reliabilitas dengan Cronbach Alpha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa soal matematika konteks regional PISA memenuhi kriteria valid, sangat reliabel, dan berpotensi berdampak. Hasil uji implementasi menunjukkan 11 siswa (27,50%) berada pada kategori rendah, 32 siswa (55,00%), dan 7 siswa (17,50%) berada pada kategori tinggi
Implementation of the connected mathematics project learning model on students\u27 mathematical critical thinking ability
Students\u27 low critical thinking ability in learning mathematics is a major problem in research. This needs to be overcome by implementing learning that provides opportunities for students to develop their thinking ability rationally and well-structured in learning mathematics. One learning model that supports this learning is the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) learning model. This study aimed to describe quantitatively the implementation of the CMP learning model on students\u27 critical thinking ability in mathematics. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a one-group pre-test and post-test post-test design. The research instruments were observation sheets and tests. The results showed that the application of learning observed in 4 meetings in terms of 9 student activities in learning in the sample group met the criteria for being effective. The student\u27s critical thinking ability through the paired t-test showed a significance value of 0.00, which was smaller than the alpha level of 0.05, meaning that there was a significant difference in the average score from the pre-test to the post-test. Furthermore, the n-gain value obtained is 0.36 (medium). Thus, it was concluded that implementing CMP learning on students\u27 critical thinking ability was effective.Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika merupakan masalah utama dalam penelitian. Hal ini perlu diatasi dengan penerapan pembelajaran yang memberi kesempatan kepada siswa untuk mengembangakan kemampuan berpikirnya secara rasional dan terstruktur dengan baik dalam pembelajaran matematika. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang mendukung pembelajaran tersebut adalah model pembelajaran Connected Mathematics Project (CMP). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan secara kuantitatif Implementasi model pembelajaran CMP terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pretest posttest design. Instrumen penelitian adalah lembar observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran yang diamati dalam 4 kali pertemuan yang ditinjau dari 10 aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran pada kelompok sampel memenuhi kriteria efektif. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui uji paired t-test menunjukkan nilai sighifikansi 0,00 yang lebih kecil dari taraf alpha 0,05 memberi arti bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai rata yang signifikan dari nilai pretest ke-posttest. Selanjutnya diperoleh nilai n-gain menununjukkan nilai 0,36 (Sedang). Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran CMP terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa adalah efektif
