    This study aims to describe the thinking ability of class X MIA 2 of SMA Negeri 2 Tanjungpinang in solving functional problems. research subjects A total of 40 students who have received material before function. Instrument for the assessment of students higher-order thinking skills, consisting of 10 questions. Data were analyzed using the average method as an explanation of students higher-order thinking skills. Considering the high level of students in terms of high-level thinking ability indicators, namely analyzing, understanding and creating. The results obtained are the average analysis indicator obtained is 47.85 with enough categories, the indicator analyzes with an average of 12.50 categories is very less.     Blended Learning Syarah: Bagaimana Penerapan dan Persepsi Mahasiswa

    This study aims to see how the implementation and students’ perceptions of e-learning type blended learning in Mathematics Capita Selecta course. The e-learning in this study utilized the Syarah portal, an online learning application developed by Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji (UMRAH) responding to the 4.0 era. This online learning using Syarah was the first time applied to research subjects, namely 35 students of Mathematics Capita Selecta Course year 2019. The data was collected from the results of the researchers\u27 observations during the learning process and students’ responses to the questionnaire. The data were analyzed qualitatively to describe how the implementation of e-learning and how students’ perceptions about e-learning Syarah in supporting them to learn. The results of the analysis show that the Syarah system and students are ready for the implementation of online learning. Students’ confusion only occurs at the initial meeting of each type of e-learning activities designed by the researcher. Hereinafter, students could carry out learning well, even independently, but with clearly stated instructions. In addition, students were actively involved during the e-learning process. It also reveals that students felt more open to engaging in e-learning activities than when they were in class. In general, students gave positive responses to the use of Syarah in supporting blended learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana penerapan dan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap e-learning tipe blended learning pada perkuliahan Kapita Selekta Matematika. Perkuliahan e-learning pada penelitian ini memanfaatkan portal Syarah yaitu aplikasi pembelajaran daring yang dikembangkan oleh Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji (UMRAH)sebagai upaya merespons pembelajaran di era 4.0. Data dikumpulkan dari hasil observasi peneliti selama perkuliahan berlangsung dan hasil kuesioner respons mahasiswa terhadap penerapan blended learning. Perkuliahan daring dengan menggunakan Syarah ini baru pertama kali diterapkan pada subjek penelitian. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bagaimana pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran blended learning dan bagaimana blended learning ini mendukung mahasiswa dalam belajar. Secara umum, sistem Syarah dan mahasiswa dapat dilihat siap untuk pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring, mahasiswa juga terlibat aktif selama perkuliahan, dan mahasiswa  memberi respon yang positif terhadap e-learning

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas penggunaan blok aljabar dalam rangka membantu siswa kelas IX menyelesaikan permasalahan persamaan kuadrat dengan teknik kuadrat sempurna. Blok aljabar digunakan dalam rangka untuk membantu siswa dalam menghadapi kesulitan-kesulitan yang muncul dalam berpikir abstrak yang dibutuhkan ketika menyelesaikan persamaan kuadrat dengan teknik kuadrat sempurna. Ini penting untuk dikaji karena kesulitan dalam berpikir abstrak dalam menggunakan teknik kuadrat sempurna adalah salah satu hambatan yang dialami oleh siswa-siswa kelas IX dalam menyelesaikan masalah persamaan kuadrat dengan teknik kuadrat sempurna. Hasil dari eksperimen memperlihatkan bahwa proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan blok aljabar dalam menyelesaikan persamaan kuadrat dengan teknik kuadrat sempurna memberikan hasil yang lebih baik dari pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan metode konvensional

    Based on the merit, the uncertainty of the results, and the lack of depth of existing researches in connecting gender and cognitive level, hence, the purpose of this research is to analyze the difference of students’ mathematics ability in bloom’s taxonomy domain based on gender. This research is quantitative research with 156 students taken as sample, consisted of 81 male and 75 female students. Two-way anova employed in this study, with LSD (Least Significant Difference) and HSD (Honestly Significant Difference) as post hoc test. The results show that all assumption tests for variance analysis are fulfilled. From two-way anova test, obtained the result that Fcount > Ftable at α = 0.05 (Fcount = 10.57 dan Ftable = 2.22) which means that there is interaction between gender and students’ cognitive level. LSD test shows that at level C1, male students perform better than female groups. However, there is no difference between both groups for overall performance. HSD test also reveals that there is significant different on students’ performance in C1, C2, and C3, but not in C4, C5, and C6.Berdasarkan manfaat, ketidakpastian hasil, dan kurang dalamnya penelitian terdahulu yang menghubungkan gender dan level kognitif, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan kemampuan matematika dalam domain taksonomi bloom berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan 156 siswa sebagai sampel yang terdiri atas 81 siswa laki-laki dan 75 siswa perempuan. Uji anova dua jalur digunakan pada penelitian ini, dengan LSD (Least Significant Difference) dan HSD (Honestly Significant Difference) sebagai uji lanjutan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa seluruh uji prasyarat untuk analysis varians terpenuhi. Dari uji anava dua jalur, diperoleh hasil bahwa Fhitung > Ftabel pada α = 0.05 (Fhitung = 10.57 dan Ftabel = 2.22) yang berarti terdapat interaksi antara gender dan level kognitif siswa. Uji LSD menunnjukkan bahwa pada level C1, siswa laki-laki lebih baik dibandingkan perempuan. Tetapi, tidak terdapat perbedaan performa siswa laki-laki dan perempuan secara keseluruhan. Uji HSD menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada performa siswa pada level C1, C2, dan C3, namun tidak di C4, C5, dan C6

    This research aims to describe competence level and competence hierarchy on indicators developed by 23 middle schools teacher from South Sumatera Province, using indicator and objectives references to Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy and National Standard of Education.     This research is qualitative research with the aim of (1) to find out the description of mathematical communication skills of male and female students in solving mathematical problem solving questions, (2) to find out different information about mathematical communication descriptions in solving problem solving problems in terms of gender. The subjects of this study were two class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Labakkang, namely one male and one female student who had the highest problem solving test scores. The procedure of data collection is done by observation, tests of  problem solving and interviews. The research instrument was used in the form of observation sheets, tests of  problem solving, interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques are carried out by testing credibility, transferbility, dependability, and conformability. The results showed that the mathematical communication skills of male gender subjects were lower than those of female gender subjects. The purpose of this research was to develop learning videos with videoscribe sparkoll application. The methods  used od this research were Research and Development (R&D).  The stages used are field observation, data collection, product design, expert validation, product revision, small class trials, data analysis, and final products. based on the results of the validation of the experts by getting eligible criteria for each criterion namely 78% and 78.7% and the results of small-scale trials by getting a positive response and eligible criteria which is 75.5%.Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang pada program studi Pendidikan Maematika tahun akdemik 2018-2019. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan video pembelajaran berbantuan aplikasi sparkoll videoscribe.     Implementasi Bahan Ajar Persamaan Diferensial dengan Metode Guided Discovery Berbantuan Software Mathematica untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep

    This study aims to examine the increase in student’s mathematical conceptual understanding ability using differential equation teaching materials using Guided Discovery assisted by Mathematica software. This study is a quasi-experimental with pretest posttest Control Group Design. The research subjects were the sixth semester students of Mathematics Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang, with a sample of as many as two classes selected by simple random sampling technique. The experimental class uses differential equation teaching materials with the Guided Discovery method assisted by Mathematica software and the control class using ordinary teaching materials. The results of the study showed that an increase in mathematical conceptual understanding ability of the experimental class was higher than the control class. The average normalized gain of students in the experimental class is in the high and medium categories. While the control class is in the medium and low category. The normalized gain difference in the experimental class is better than the control class.This study aims to examine the improvement of students\u27 understanding of mathematical concepts using teaching materials in differential equations course with the Guided Discovery method aided by Mathematica software.     The lack of use of teaching materials that are able to construct learners to understand mathematics learning in schools causes the achievement of students\u27 mathematical skills are still in the low category. This study aims to develop a valid, practical and effective LKPD based on RME with maritime context. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research with a limited ADDIE development model, they are Analysis, Design, Development (ADD) stage. Data in the study were collected by the test and questionnaire methods. The research instruments used were expert validation sheets, student questionnaire response sheets, and test sheets. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis to measure the validity of LKPD, Rasch modeling to measure the practicality of LKPD, and compare individual and classical minimum completeness criteria from students\u27 post-test results to measure the effectiveness of LKPD.     Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Melalui Pembelajaran Berbantuan GeoGebra di Kelas XII IPA 9 SMA Negeri 1 Palembang

    The purpose of this classroom action research is to improve mathematics learning outcomes of students in XII Science 9 Senior High School Number 1 through GeoGebra assisted learning. Subject of this research are 29 students. The lesson taught in this study are maximum and minimum value, monotonicity, slope, and concavity of trigonometric function. First cycle was held in 3 meetings and the second cycle held in 2 meetings. Instrument used is a test of learning outcomes and observation. Learning outcomes test is used to find out student’s achievement in each cycle and observation used to collect data during learning process. The data are analized quantitatively and descriptively. Results of the study indicate that the average score of XII Science 9 in the first cycle is 50,00 and in the second cycle is 82,76. The result of this study show that GeoGebra assisted learning can improve mathematics learning outcomes which is equal to 80% students have achieved completeness in second cyclePenelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XII IPA 9 SMA Negeri 1 Palembang melalui pembelajaran berbantuan GeoGebra. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 29 orang siswa. Materi yang diajarkan dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai maksimum dan minimum, selang kemonotonan, gradien garis singgung, dan selang kecekungan kurva fungsi trigonometri. Siklus pertama dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga pertemuan dan siklus ke-2 sebanyak dua pertemuan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar dan observasi. Tes hasil belajar digunakan untuk mengetahui capaian siswa pada setiap siklus dan observasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa kelas XII IPA 9 pada tes siklus pertama adalah 50,00 dan pada tes siklus ke-2 sebesar 82,76. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbantuan GeoGebra dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa, yaitu sebesar 80% siswa telah mencapai ketuntasan pada siklus kedua. &nbsp
