    Taman Lansia Bandung memiliki 9 jenis fasilitas duduk yang tersebar di penjuru area dengan total sebanyak 57 unit. Keragaman desain fasilitas duduk ini didukung pula oleh lingkungan sekitarnya sebagai sebuah ruang  yang memunculkan aktivitas duduk dengan perilaku yang beragam dan unik. Tujuan penelitian ini menjadi sebuah acuan desain kedepan dalam perancangan fasilitas duduk pada ruang terbuka, untuk dapat menumbuhkan perilaku duduk atau interaksi tertentu. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif, melalui kajian fenomena perilaku duduk yang terjadi, kemudian dianalisa melalui pendekatan faktor desain (bentuk-material-antropometri) serta faktor ruang (lantai-dinding-atap). Hasil dari penelitian menyatakan terjadi hubungan sebab akibat antara faktor desain dengan faktor ruang yang menimbulkan perilaku duduk tertentu. Disimpulkan bahwa kedua faktor di atas memunculkan perilaku; 1)duduk anomali; 2)perilaku duduk normal menyendiri; 3) perilaku duduk normal berinteraksi

    Stadiums generally have a lot of access for entrances and exits, this is related to the spectator capacity of the stadium which is quite a lot. The level of ease of user activity with the existing spatial configuration structure is unknown. The adjustment of the softball stadium plan is intended to provide a level of clarity in the pattern of relationships between spaces and a level of ease of accessibility in achieving these spaces. Apart from that, it is also to know and understand the basic movement patterns of users in it. So that the space syntax analysis method is used to find out clarity regarding the pattern of configuration of relationships between spaces in the ease of outreach of activities for users in the stadium. Analysis related to connectivity, integrity and intelligibility patterns can in a descriptive way provide the appropriate picture results in the form of an axial line. The expected result is that the pattern of relationships between spaces for ease of user activity in them feels very far-reaching, especially on the 1st to 3rd floors. There needs to be a clear link on these floors to understand the spatial configuration structure for the users inside. While the floor that has the most optimal quality with an intelligibility value close to 1 is floor 4, where on this floor the range of activities is quite close together and not too wide

    Optimization of Esterification in the Synthesis of Surfactants Feedstock from Polar Lipid Fraction of Crude Palm Oil

    Surfactants (monoglycerides and diglycerides) can be obtained by converting triglycerides and glycerol with a NaOH as catalyst. A low free fatty acids (FFA) content starting material is needed due to the formation of soap as side product. The aim of this research was to optimize the esterification of (Polar lipid fraction) PLF to eliminate the FFA content with ZnCl2 as catalyst. Optimization was conducted on the variables of duration (ranging from 40 to 80 min) and reaction temperature (210–250°C) using the Response Surface Method with Central Composite Design with starting FFA content of 28.4%. It was found that an FFA content of 0.285% and a yield of 97.25% were achieved at a temperature of 258.3°C and a heating duration of 59.71 min. Moreover, the influence of temperature and heating duration during the esterification reaction on the FFA content was highly significant, as indicated by the P-Value of 0.00000102. Meanwhile, the influence of temperature and heating duration during the esterification reaction on the yield is not significant (P-Value = 0.130)

    ROAD TRAFFIC NOISE MAPPING BASED ON FIELD MEASUREMENTS IN LOCATION THAT DO NOT HAVE A STANDARDIZED MODEL IN ALGERIA

    The present study addresses the issue of noise pollution in Algeria due to road traffic and the possible preventive means and solutions for its abatement, in order to maintain an adequate sound environment in urban areas, especially next to residential ones. The main objective of this study aims at establishing an initial noise map for the Champs de Manoeuvre residential estate in Guelma; a medium-size city of Algeria, by adopting a research methodology that involved applying a quantitative investigation through carrying out field measurements during the winter and the summer season, three times for one week, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, using a sound level meter to measure and calculate the weighted equivalent continuous sound pressure level LAeq for 10min, the statistical level L10, the maximum sound level Lmax, the Traffic noise index TNI and the Noise pollution level NPL. The results obtained from the measurement campaign showed the extent of the noise levels produced from road traffic in the vicinity of the residential buildings in the studied area, emitted mainly from passing vehicles, acceleration and the irrational usage of horns, which led to a LAeq level of 74 dB at the source, thus, exceeding the 70 and 55 dB thresholds set in both of the Algerian noise regulation and the World Health Organization noise guidelines. Subsequently, implementation of the noise mapping technic can help in visualizing the spatio-temporal distribution of noise, in identifying its main sources and black spots in urban areas and in drawing up primary action plans for fighting against this issue

    The Effect Of Wave Length And Amplitude on The Hydrodynamic Characteristics of Waste Collection Vessels Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

    The continuous flow of marine debris in the sea has been a problem until now. Previous research on garbage collection vessels was conducted in calm water conditions, without waves and waves due to wind. This is different from the real conditions in the sea which are choppy and bumpy. In addition, research on the effect of wave length and amplitude on marine debris collection on garbage collection vessels does not yet exist. This study aims to determine the effect of wave length and amplitude on velocity contours, flow patterns, and ship resistance. The ship uses a circular hollow wing conveyor. Modelling using Rhinocheros software, then numerical simulation using Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD). Verification of the simulation process uses grid independent by varying the mesh size, then validation of the results is done by comparing with previous experimental research. The results show that the best velocity contour in front of the conveyor is at a ship speed of 1.028 m/s (2 knots) using an amplitude of 0.5 T and a wavelength of 0.5 L. The velocity value in front of the conveyor is 1.551 m/s. This affects the speed of collecting marine debris. This affects the speed of collecting marine debris. The model that has a laminar flow pattern at the bow and at the stern is a speed of 1 knot at an amplitude variation of 0.1 T and a wavelength of 0.1 L. This is the best because it is easy to collect garbage. The smallest drag is the speed of 0.514 m/s (1 knot) at amplitude variation of 0.1 T and wavelength of 0.1 L. At this condition, the fuel consumption is the least. Thus, the greater the wavelength and amplitude of the waves the greater the drag and the smaller the speed

    Kawasan Minapolitan merupakan suatu bagian wilayah yang mempunyai fungsi utama ekonomi yang terdiri dari sentra produksi pengolahan, pemasaran komoditas perikanan, pelayanan jasa, dan/atau kegiatan pendukung lainnya. Kabupaten Jember terkenal akan adanya laut Kabupaten Jember yang tertuang dalam Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah Tahun 2011 – 2031 terkait arahan pengembangan kawasan perikanan, diarahkan menjadi salah satu wilayah pengembangan kawasan minapolitan perikanan tangkap yaitu di kawasan Puger. Kecamatan Puger berdasarkan Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah Kabupaten Jember Tahun 2015 – 2035, Kecamatan Puger merupakan kawasan strategis kabupaten sebagai kepentingan pertumbuhan ekonomi dengan menetapkan Kecamatan Puger sebagai pengembangan kawasan minapolitan. Maka dari itu  dalam penelitian ini membahas mengenai kawasan minapolitan berkelanjutan di Kecamatan Puger, akan tetapi kawasan minapolitan berkelanjutan Kecamatan Puger terdapat permasalahan dalam upaya pengembangan, seperti pemanfaatan sumber daya alam perikanan yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi eksisting dari kawasan minapolitan berkelanjutan berdasarkan lima dimensi (ekologi, ekonomi, sosial, infrastruktur dan kelembagaan) serta mengetahui nilai berkelanjutan di Kawasan Minapolitan Kecamatan Puger dan prioritas utama dalam pengembangan kawasan minapolitan berkelanjutan Kecamatan Puger. Terdapat tiga metode analisis yaitu yang pertama menggunakan analisis skoring untuk memberikan gambaran umum dari kawasan minapolitan Kecamatan Puger dari hasil observasi, wawancara. Metode analisis kedua yaitu dengan metode kuantitatif berupa AHP Analythic Hierarchy Process (AHP), untuk mengetahui prioritas utama dari setiap variabel yang diuji. Metode analisis ketiga yaitu SWOT, untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan dari hasil analisis deskriptif dan analisis AHP. Dengan adanya penelitian ini bahwa Kawasan Minapolitan Berkelanjutan Kecamatan Puger sudah memadai selain itu, terdapat empat strategi pengembangan dari hasil analisis AHP dan SWOT yaitu pada variabel ekonomi dan ekologi yang belum sepenuhnya berkembang

    Pengembangan Ekominawisata Pada Kawasan Pesisir Kecamatan Sedati Kabupaten Sidoarjo Berbasis Partisipasi Masyarakat

    Kecamatan Sedati memiliki potensi sumber daya perairan yang melimpah sehingga ditetapkan sebagai kawasan strategis pesisir di Kabupaten Sidoarjo serta terdapat wisata yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk merumuskan strategi pengembangan ekominawisata pada kawasan pesisir Kecamatan Sedati Kabupaten Sidoarjo dengan melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deksriptif, IPA dan SWOT. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan tingkat presentase masyarakat yang telah berpartisipasi sebesar 55% dan 45% memilih untuk tidak berpartisipasi dengan didominasi bentuk partisipasi berupa uang. Dalam menilai tingkat kinerja dan kepentingan komponen ekominawisata dilakukan analisis IPA dan didapatkan  indikator yang perlu diprioritaskan yaitu indikator ancaman dan bencana, lembaga pengelola, jalan, penyediaan lahan parkir, titik evakuasi, gazebo dan tempat duduk. Dari beberapa indikator tersebut kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode SWOT dan diperoleh strategi yang paling sesuai diterapkan pada lokasi penelitian yaitu strategi S-O (Strategi Agresif) dengan melibatkan peran pemerintah pusat, daerah, desa, pihak swasta dan masyarakat setempat; menjaga kelestarian alam dan ekosistem; bekerja sama dengan Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan; memelihara tradisi yang berkembang sebagai daya tarik wisata; mengembangkan pemasaran hasil olahan ikan serta meningkatkan kompetensi masyarakat setempat dengan mengadakan pelatihan

    Characterization of Hydroxyapatite From Kupang Shells and Its Synthesis with Polycaprolactone for 3D Printing Filament

    The number of deaths or fatalities due to accidents in Indonesia is increasing. In addition, traffic accidents can cause serious injuries such as damage to the skull. The bone implantation technique currently used is an autograft, but this technique has some limitations. This limitation of autograft can be overwhelmed with synthetic bone implants, one of which uses a mixture of Polycaprolactone (PCL) and Hydroxyapatite (HAp). A combination of HAp and PCL is recommended because the two materials complement each other's weaknesses and can increase elasticity and quality to produce suitable filaments for 3D printing processes. This study used hydroxyapatite from Kupang Shells by calcination and precipitation methods. Then do the test XRF, XRD, FTIR, and SEM to determine the quality. The results showed that HAp synthesized from Kupang Shells had potential characteristics as bone implants. Next, two methods were used to mix PCL with HAp as a 3D printing filament for bone implants: the dry and wet methods. After that, it is analyzed with SEM and Mechanical Strength. The results of the SEM test of HAp particles in the wet method have more even distribution and a smoother surface than in the dry method. The impact is visible on the filament's mechanical test, which shows better results in the wet method
