Characterization of Type-III Resistant Starch Produced by High Shear Mixing Combined with Membrane Separation
There are five types of resistant starch and the most commonly used as functional food is type-III resistant starch (RS-III), which is a retrograded of gelatinized starch that is conventionally produced by heating and cooling treatment. This study characterized the RS-III produced by an unconventional method by modification of high shear mixing (HSM) combined with membrane microfiltration from cassava starch. A starch/water mixture with a concentration of 1/20 w/v was gelatinized in the HSM reactor at 95°C for 15 minutes and then separated using membrane microfiltration. The separated permeate was cooled to the retrogradation process. The products were characterized by iodine, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Total Dietary Fiber (TDF) content. The highest amylose content that can be achieved was 15.3% with a degree of crystallinity of 8.58%. The higher HSM speed significantly increased the TDF content in RS-III products up to 12.33%

Lifespan Estimation of Galvanized Steel and Stainless Steel Pipe
This research presents a comparative study focused on estimating the lifespan of galvanized steel pipes and stainless steel pipes within the context of a ballast system. Ballast systems play a crucial role in maintaining the stability and trim of vessels, making the longevity of the associated piping materials essential for maritime operations. This research aims to provide insights into the corrosion behavior and overall durability of galvanized steel and stainless steel pipes employed in ballast systems. The investigation involves an in-depth analysis of corrosion mechanisms specific to both galvanized steel and stainless steel pipes in the corrosive marine environment. The influence of factors such as salinity, and immersion time is examined. By understanding the distinct corrosion behavior of galvanized steel and stainless steel pipes, maritime industry stakeholders can make informed decisions regarding material selection, maintenance schedules, and potential retrofitting options. Ultimately, the insights gained from this study contribute to the sustainability and operational efficiency of maritime transport by enabling the optimization of ballast system infrastructure. Perancangan Interior Sekolah Dasar Katolik Santa Angela di Surabaya dengan Pendekatan Student Centered Learning dalam Kurikulum Merdeka
Sekolah merupakan tempat peserta didik untuk menempuh pendidikan. Pendidikan di sekolah tidak lepas kaitannya dengan kurikulum. Kurikulum di Indonesia saat ini mengalami perubahan dengan menggunakan Kurikulum Merdeka. Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan kurikulum modern yang memiliki pendekatan Student Centered Learning. Perubahan kurikulum dan metode pembelajaran akan berdampak pada perubahan aktivitas pengguna di dalamnya. Sekolah Dasar Katolik (SDK) Santa Angela di Surabaya menempati gedung sekolah yang didirikan sejak tahun 1980 dan masih digunakan hingga sekarang. Saat ini, interior ruang kelas masih nampak menggunakan kurikulum konvensional yaitu teacher centered learning, sehingga perlu dilakukan penyesuaian kebutuhan ruang terhadap perubahan metode pembelajaran yang baru. Untuk itu, perancangan interior ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan wadah bagi pengguna khususnya siswa Sekolah Dasar dan guru dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran Project Based Learning dan Blended Learning yang digunakan sekolah tersebut dalam menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka. Batasan area yang dirancang adalah lantai satu, karena menjadi pusat area yang berkaitan dengan proses belajar dan mengajar. Perancangan interior yang menggunakan metode Design Thinking ini menghasilkan solusi desain berupa konsep desain dan implementasinya di dalam ruang untuk menjawab permasalahan yang ditemukan
ESTERIFIKASI ASAM HUMAT GAMBUT KALIMANTAN TENGAH SEBAGAI ADSORBEN METHYLENE BLUE
Esterifikasi asam humat gambut Kalimantan Tengah sebagai adsorben methylene blue telah berhasil dilakukan dengan mereaksikan etanol dan katalis asam H2SO4. Proses pemisahan produk esterifikasi asam humat gambut Kalimantan Tengah dilakukan dengan metode ekstraksi pelarut menggunakan variasi perbandingan pelarut kloroform : air (1:1, 1:2, 1:4, 0:1). Dari hasil ekstraksi diperoleh bahwa esktraksi pelarut menggunakan kloroform : air 1:1 memberikan rendemen 99,86% (pH 5), 1:2 99,33 % (pH 7), 1:4 91,74% (pH 5), 0:1 99,47 (pH 7), asam humat 98,28% (pH%). Hasil karakterisasi asam humat esterifikasi menggunakan FTIR menunjukkan adanya serapan karakteristik gugus C=O dari –COOR pada daerah pita serapan 1089 cm-1 (1:1), 1100 cm-1 (1:2), 1104 cm-1 (1:4), 1059 cm-1 (0:1) yang mengindikasikan keberhasilan proses esterifikasi asam humat. Uji adsorpsi methylene blue dengan asam humat teresterifikasi dilakukan dengan variasi pH 1, 3, 5 dan 7. Hasil adsorpsi optimum diperoleh menggunakan rasio pelarut ekstraksi kloroform : air (1:1) dengan persen penyisihan 99,86% dan kapasitas adsorpsi maksimum sebesar 454,54 mg/g pada pH 5. Adsorpsi methylene blue menggunakan adsorben asam humat tereserifikasi terjadi secara fisisorpsi dengan nilai konstanta kesetimbangan sebesar 0,3666 L/mg yang mengikuti pola isoterm adsorpsi Langmuir mengasumsikan bahwa adsorpsi terjadi secara monolayer dimana hanya terdapat satu lapisan molekul pada permukaan adsorben yang diserap.Kata kunci: Asam Humat, methylene blue, esterifikas
Kriteria Pemilihan Kontraktor pada Proyek Konstruksi Bagi Pengguna Jasa Swasta (Studi Kasus: Sektor Pakan Ternak) dengan Metode Analisis Faktor
Perusahaan sektor swasta memerlukan pembangunan dan sarana untuk menunjang produksi dalam rangka melakukan ekspansi untuk terus berkembang. Maka dalam proses ekspansi sarana diperlukan adanya pengadaan untuk memilih kontraktor yang mengerjakan proyek pembangunan. Namun keputusan pemenang seringkali dilakukan subyektif dari top management atau hanya melihat dari harga terendah di antara masing-masing partisipan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kriteria yang menjadi pertimbangan dalam pemilihan kontraktor sesuai kebutuhan proyek di lingkup swasta dan mendapatkan kelompok kriteria serta kriteria dominan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebar kuesioner pada stakeholder kemudian dianalisa dengan Anova dan Faktor Analisis. Dari kedua analisis tersebut disimpulkan bahwa terdapat enam faktor dominan untuk menentukan kontraktor yaitu kesiapan dalam mengikuti proyek, manajemen sumber daya, reputasi kontraktor, administrasi, pengalaman kontraktor, dan kapabilitas
Natural colorant from suji leaves (Pleomale angustivoria) and dragon fruit peel (Hylocereus sp.)
The application of natural colorant decreases with the increase in synthetic colorant due to its easier to obtain, cheaper, more stable, consistent color, and availability in various color options. However, excessive use of synthetic colorants in the long term may cause either carcinogenic or mutagenic. Therefore, natural colorant research from natural colorants is still promising. Suji leaves (Pleomale angustivoria), and dragon fruit (Hylocereus sp.) peel are potential natural dye sources. The green color of suji leaves is chlorophyll which has been widely used as a natural colorant in food products. In contrast, dragon fruit peel contains betacyanin as an agricultural waste and has not been widely used. Respectively, chlorophyll and betacyanin give green and red colors. They may act as alternatives to natural colorants, safer and healthier than synthetic ones. The research of natural colorants extraction will be carried out in 2 stages; the first is the extraction step of the active natural colorant compounds, i.e., chlorophyll and betacyanin; subsequently, the evaporation of the solvent. Moreover, in the case of betacyanin extract, either citric acid or ascorbic acid is added to pH ± 4.5 as a stabilizer. AN EXPERIMENT OF SHEAR STRENGTH REINFORCED GEOPOLYMER CONCRETE BEAM BASED HIGH-CALCIUM FLY ASH WITH VARIAN SHEAR SPAN-TO-DEPTH RATIO
This study discusses geopolymer-reinforced concrete beam's shear strength capacity by experimental observation using high-calcium fly ash as the main binder. This study observed the influence of shear span per effective depth ratio due to the geopolymer concrete beam's shear behavior and strength capacity. Two beams are designed to have diagonal tensile cracks; hence the shear failure state could be obtained. Each beam has similar properties by 150 mm in width, 250 mm in height, 1800 mm in length, 2D16 as the flexure bar reinforcement, and stirrups of Ø6-250 with 20 mm concrete cover. The research employed the four-point load bending testing with the load span difference of each beam, which will later be the study variable. The things sought in this study include the peak load-deflection curve, the shear capacity that occurs in geopolymer concrete beams, and the shear capacity comparison with ACI 318-19. The results of the tests that have been carried out show that type A geopolymer-reinforced concrete beam was more ductile than type B beams, with a percentage difference of about 21.49% in deflection. The shear strength at the ratio a/d of 2 was 115,04 kN, and the ratio a/d of 2.5 was 89,00 kN. As well as a comparison of the shear strength of the test results with calculations according to ACI 318-19 shows a ratio of 1.69. So it can be concluded that ACI 318-19 calculations were conservative
