Evaluasi Dan Modifikasi Metode Kurkumin Untuk Analisis Boron Secara Spektrofotometri Melalui Distilasi Ester Borat
Evaluasi dan modifikasi terhadap metode kurkumin telah dilakukan untuk menetapkan suatu metode analisis boron yang lebih akurat dan presisi untuk analisis boron secara spektrofotometri dalam sampel makanan. Evaluasi dilakukan terhadap sejumlah parameter yang mempengaruhi reaksi pembentukan kompleks asam borat dan kurkumin. Komponen-komponen yang dievaluasi meliputi panjang gelombang kompleks boron-kurkumin, kestabilan warna kompleks, rasio asam oksalat /kurkumin, jenis pelarut kurkumin, serta rasio volume etanol terhadap asam borat. Kondisi optimum dari hasil evaluasi yaiitu panjang gelombang boron-kurkumin 555 nm, waktu kestabilan kompleks 20 menit, rasio asam oksalat/kurkumin 15:1, jenis pelarut etil asetat serta rasio volume etanol 5:1 terhadap massa asam borat. Metode kurkumin telah divalidasi dan memenuhi kriteria akurat dan presisi dengan nilai persen perolehan kembali berkisar 96,09-104,92% dan nilai presisi intraday dan interday pada kisaran 0,44–1,50%, serta telah digunakan untuk menentukan konten boron dalam masing-masing sampel mie A, B, dan C secara berturut-turut adalah 0,74; 1,04 dan 1,08 mg kg-1. A Modest Numerical Simulation for Automatic Ship Collision Avoidance System to Support Green and Autonomous Shipping Concept
The development of autonomous ship is being pursued massively and significantly, either industrially, regulatory, or academic. The autonomous ship is considered to be able to significantly reduce challenges caused by unexpected errors of manual navigation (manned ship). One of the challenges for autonomous ship development is constructing an automatic ship collision avoidance system as a basic system for identifying and avoiding an obstacle object around the ship. The collision avoidance system must consider not only the position of the ship and the obstacle but also the maneuvering characteristic (ship dynamics) and control system of the ship, thereby making its numerical system more complex. This research presents a modest numerical simulation for designing an automatic ship collision avoidance system. However, the numerical model still considers the main necessary elements of the system. The numerical model includes a set of automatic guidance system, collision avoidance system, ship dynamics, and control system. Head on head, overtaking, and crossing collision scenarios are performed to investigate the numerical model. The simulation results show that the modest numerical simulation can be used to perform an automatic ship collision avoidance system in which the ship can automatically avoid a target ship considered as the ship’s obstacle in those three collision scenarios
Simulation of Signalless Intersection Handling Using the VISSIM Model at the Punge Intersection, Banda Aceh City, Indonesia
the Punge Intersection is one of the four-armed unsignalized intersections in Banda Aceh City without traffic regulations such as traffic lights, roundabouts, or other warning signs. This condition is very troublesome for road users, especially during peak hours. It is considered necessary to evaluate the performance of the intersection along with alternative treatments that produce the best performance to meet the standards. Most of the previous studies relied heavily on tailor-made simulation tools to evaluate control algorithms, but the use of simulation platforms to make system comparisons through modeling is still very rare, especially in Indonesia. Analysis and modeling at the Punge Intersection using the MKJI method and PTV VISSIM 10.00-02 (VISSIM) software. Traffic volume data (plan), road geometric, and environmental conditions are needed in data processing operations using VISSIM. Three modeling scenarios were carried out with the implementation of a one-way road for arm A in the entry direction, installation of a traffic signaling tool, called APILL, roundabout planning and widening of each arm. A roundabout planning simulation with type R10-22 with widening on each road section can make the Punge Intersection with the best LOS and meet the best service levels
Willingness to Pay Kantong Belanja Pakai Ulang di Wilayah Urban dan Peri Urban Surabaya
Adopsi reusable bag sebagai salah satu strategi pengelolaan sampah plastik dipengaruhi oleh preferensi konsumen. Faktor harga disebutkan dalam beberapa penelitian sebelumnya sebagai salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi preferensi konsumen terhadap suatu produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besaran rata-rata willingness to pay (WTP) konsumen terhadap serangkaian atribut kantong belanja yang dapat dipakai berkali-kali. Atribut yang dimaksud meliputi atribut kepedulian sosial, atribut pertimbangan ekonomi, atribut pengurangan limbah, atribut bahan material dan atribut harga per kantong. Adapun rata-rata WTP pada artikel ini dielisitasikan dari serangkaian atribut tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan stated preference dengan metode randomized conjoint analysis (RCA) yang dilakukan di wilayah urban dan peri urban Surabaya. Hasil survei face-to-face terhadap 500 responden pada wilayah urban dan peri urban Surabaya menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata WTP konsumen adalah Rp12.639,-, untuk wilayah urban dan Rp13.956,- untuk wilayah peri urban
Performance of High-Damping Rubber Bearings for Seismic Isolation – Case Study of Nayumi Sam Tower Malang Apartment
The base-isolation system is a highly effective earthquake-resistance technique. Especially when the building is under soft soil, however, it is detrimental to the horizontal displacement control of the isolation layer and less effective in decreasing the seismic response of the superstructure. Rubber bearings with high damping can produce substantial hysteretic damping and exhibit a hardening effect at high-shear strains. The research investigates the Nayumi Sam Tower Malang apartment as a case study with 10 stories of reinforced concrete with a double system structure which is in a soft soil location. High-damping rubber bearings (HDRBs) is used as a parameter study to understand the alteration and give a recommendation. The seismic response of the building is evaluated, and the HRDB alternative systems is confirmed using ETABS. It is pointed out that the HRDBs system can reduce the impact of earthquakes by close to 25% with the smallest section of structural dimension. According to new regulation building in Indonesia, the precise values of test circumstances, such as compressive force, shear displacement, and frequency, are developed. The findings are thoroughly discussed, the applicability of HRDBs for seismic isolation of residential buildings is concluded. Building with HRDBs isolation implied to have lower base shear and inter-storey drift which improved the performance of the structure with less damage.
Analisis Potensi Investasi Alternatif di Kota Balikpapan Melalui Perspektif Keruangan
Balikpapan merupakan kota dengan kondisi ekonomi terbesar ketiga berdasarkan Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) di Kalimantan Timur pada tahun 2021 dengan sektor industri sebagai sektor yang dominan. Kota Balikpapan juga merupakan kota pendukung Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) dan memiliki peluang dalam menyerap investasi proyek pemindahan IKN. Adanya kebijakan pemindahan ibukota negara dan investasi diharapkan dapat mendukung pemerataan pembangunan wilayah yang selama ini masih terpusat di Pulau Jawa. Saat ini, Kota Balikpapan menghadapi tantantagan dengan adanya ketergantungan terhadap sektor migas. Oleh karena itu, sektor unggulan non migas dapat dijadikan alternaatif dalam dalam berinvestasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis potensi investasi melalui sektor unggulan non migas di Kota Balikpapan. Penentuan sektor unggulan dilakukan dengan metode Location Quotient (LQ) untuk menentukan sektor basis, dan analisis Shift Share untuk menentukan sektor yang berdaya saing, sehingga ditemukan 8 sektor unggulan yang kemudian dilanjutkan analisis tipologi klasen untuk menentukan sektor non basis yang berpotensi untuk dilakukan investasi. Hasil dari analisis didapatkan bahwa sektor perdagangan besar dan eceran, reparasi mobil dan motor, sektor jasa keuangan dan asuransi, sektor informasi dan komunikasi, sektor konstruksi, sektor penyediaan akomodasi dan makan minum, dan sektor jasa lainnya merupakan sektor yang potensial untuk dilakukan investasi di Kota Balikpapan. Selanjutnya, analisis deskriptif dilakukan untuk memperoleh keterkaitan antara sektor potensial untuk diinvestasikan terhadap kebijakan penataan ruang di Kota Balikpapan. Sehingga diperoleh potensi investasi dengan mengacu pada faktor penentu daya tarik investasi serta kebijakan penataan ruang di Kota Balikpapan yang digambarkan melalui peta sebaran potensi investasi di Kota Balikpapan
Performance based design of Hospital Building in Surabaya under variety design alternative using SNI 1726-2019 – Case study: Redesign Building
Nowadays, At the present time, the occurrence of regular earthquakes all over the world is turning into a significant problem. The structures that make up hospitals are among the most significant buildings in a living society because, in the event that a potentially dangerous scenario emerges, they help to serve as a caring and healing unit for the human population. A hospital building is made up of three different components: the structural component, the non-structural component, and the functional component. Each of these components can have an effect, either directly or indirectly, on the management and operation of the hospital building. Each time a natural or non-natural cause causes devastation and disaster, the globe suffers. In such cases, hospital buildings are vital in term of treating victims and injured persons, and housing those who lost their homes. Therefore, hospital facilities should be planned and constructed with enough stiffness and strength to resist disasters and serve as shelters or housing units afterward. This study analyses a hospital in area of Surabaya which built using Indonesian standard provision SNI 1726-2012. Weak structural members of the hospital are identified. The analysis determined to study the behaviour of hospital building when subjected to seismic forces using ETABS using current provision SNI 1726-2019. The investigation determined that the effect of the lateral forces under P-delta effect on the hospital building. Two different conditions have been compared, e.g., existing model and alternative configuration using dual system method to determining the recommendation for current building to resist seismic forces under new regulation. As a result, existing structure of hospital building still meet the requirements, but to fill the condition in accordance with SNI 1726-2019, some modifications need to be improved
Mini Research: Analyzing the Relationship between Listening to Murottal Al Qur’an Surah Al Baqarah Verses 1-10 to Beta Waves with Learning Concentration
Concentration in learning has a big impact on determining learning outcomes. Some of the conditions experienced by students who find it difficult to maintain concentration during the learning process are caused by many factors. Among them is the atmosphere of a noisy learning environment. One way to determine the learning concentration condition is by measuring beta brain waves using Electroencephalography (EEG). This study aims to analyze the effect of the murottal stimulus of Al Baqarah verses 1-10 on beta brain wave activity and its relationship with learning concentration. The research method used is experimental. Subjects in this study were 6 students of UIN Walisongo Semarang, with inclusion criteria ranging from 20-23 years old, Muslim, not hearing impaired, physically and mentally healthy, and not using drugs. The stages of research consisted of 4 stages; first, the research subjects carried out the pre-test without stimulus; second subject measured their brain waves without stimulus; third, subjects measured brain waves with stimulus; and finally, the research subjects carried out the pre-test with stimulus. The analysis results using the T-test, which stated that the average comparison of beta brain waves in the two groups before and after being given the murottal Al-Qur’an stimulus showed a p-value of 0.0003 (p<0.05). While the results of the pre-test and post-test T-test showed a p-value of 0.017 (p<0.05). It shows that the murottal stimulus of Al Baqarah verses 1-10 effects changes in beta waves and the level of learning concentration
Manufacturing of Soil Coefficient Permeability Meter with Data Acquisition System Based on Internet of Things (IoT)
Soil permeability coefficient and measuring instrument using a data acquisition system based on Internet of Things (IoT) has been successfully made. The measuring equipment uses the falling head permeameter concept. MPX10GP sensor is used to measure water level. The measurement range is 6-40 cm water level, to obtain + 36 permeability coefficient value of each 1 cm. The data from the subsequent measurement systems is transmitted into the internet network so that it can be accessed by smartphone. Based on the measurement results of three samples, the slopes of Mount Ngantang have a soil permeability coefficient value of 0.0016 cm/s, the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) pond embankment is 0.0005 cm/s, and the Bengawan Solo River embankment is 0.0002 cm/s. These results match with the reference and the difference value is only 2.7%. By using this research method, it is expected to draw up a map of the area that is prone to landslides quickly and accurately
Synthesis of Silica from Rice Husk Waste for Hydrophobic Material as an Anti-Water Coating for Eyeglasses
Hydrophobic materials made of silica as a coating for glasses are very attractive. The synthesis of silica (SiO2) from rice husk ash was successfully carried out using the sol-gel method. The hydrophobic silica composition is made with four variations of silica, consisting of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 g and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) keep constant in 20 g. The raw material was first characterized by X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) to investigate element composition. Then, silica powder obtained from rice husk ash was characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Particle Size Analyzer (PSA) and Water Contac Angel (WCA) were employed to investigate functional groups material, size of particles and hydrophobicity of the prepared samples for coating glass. The result of contact angel from coating glass exhibited more than 90◦ and the maximum hydrophobicity properties of polydimethylsiloxane/silica (PDMS/SiO2) was about 111.40◦ for the silica composition of 2 g
