CORRELATION BETWEEN VISUAL CHARACTERS AND SENSE OF PLACE IN KAMPUNG PELANGI SEMARANG
Kampung Pelangi Semarang is in Randusari Village, South Semarang District, Semarang City. Kampung Pelangi, formerly known as Kampung Wonosari, was a slum village, through the Semarang City Government program it has become a thematic tourist village, as an effort to improve the arrangement and increase the economic potential of Kampung Pelangi. After experiencing a change in visual character, the actions of the residents show a change in the sense of place of Kampung Pelangi. This action is reflected in changes in the sense of pride, ownership, identity, positive aspirations, and commitment of residents to Kampung Pelangi. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between visual characters and the sense of place in Kampung Pelangi. This research method is quantitative. Data collection using a questionnaire. The research sample is 100 residents of Pelangi village aged 25-60 years. The data analysis method used is correlation inferential statistical analysis using the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 for windows program. The results of this study found that the relationship between visual characters and the sense of place in Kampung Pelangi was positive, so that the more visual characters increased, the sense of place in Kampung Pelangi also increased
ANALYSIS OF URBAN DESIGN DIMENSIONS IN A CULTURAL HERITAGE AREA (CASE STUDY: KOTABARU AREA, YOGYAKARTA CITY)
The design concept for the Kotabaru area was designed to resemble the hometown of the Dutch, as if the area had become a second hometown for the Dutch who lived in Yogyakarta during the colonial period. Kotabaru was formerly called Nieuwe Wijk, designed with the Garden City concept by a Dutch architect named Thomas Karsteen. The research aims to analyze the dimensions of urban design in the cultural heritage area in Kotabaru Yogyakarta. This area has very important socio-cultural values and is part of a city identity. However, the growth and changes in urbanization have had an impact on the quality of urban planning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data were collected through field observations, documentation studies, and interviews. The research location is in Kotabaru Yogyakarta, focusing on cultural heritage areas and historic buildings. The analysis includes elements of architecture, spatial planning, land use, regional zoning, and relations with local socio-culture. The research results reveal dimensions of city design, including morphological dimensions, social dimensions, perceptual dimensions, visual dimensions, functional dimensions, temporal dimensions related to elements in the Kotabaru Yogyakarta cultural heritage area
LIVING IN A BOARDING HOUSE: A PRIVACY MECHANISM IN ARCHITECTURE STUDENT’S PRIVATE STUDY ROOM
Boarding houses, as a type of substitute residence, function not only to ensure the continuity of daily domestic activities, but also as a comfortable learning place for students as residents. The Multimodal learning methods, which is used in architectural studio learning, through design simulations making study mock-ups, requires the use of more than one strategy in the learning process. Because it requires a different concentration compared to unimodal students, learning privacy is not only needed for individual learning process, but also needed for group learning study activities. This research explores the privacy mechanism that occurs in boarding rooms as private workspaces for architecture students. Phenomenological qualitative methods are used, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documents readings. The results of the study show that architecture students tend to organize to optimize space by modifying the spatial attributes. This is executed to provide the widest possible space for learning privacy, so that it’s multimodal learning activities could run as optimally as possible
Determinan Kepemilikan Jaminan Kecelakaan Kerja pada Pekerja Informal di Provinsi Jawa Timur
The informal sector is often seen as workers with low wages, difficult and dangerous jobs, and low protection. The high rate of work accidents makes the importance of work accident insurance for all workers, especially informal workers. Work Accident Insurance is a benefit in the form of cash and health services provided when a participant experiences a work accident or illness caused by the work environment. This study aims to determine the factors that influence Occupational Accident Benefit ownership for informal sector workers in East Java Province in 2021 using the binary logistic regression method. The data used comes from August 2021 SAKERNAS data. The results of this study show that the variables of the area of residence, gender, income, age, marital status, education, and the number of household members affect Occupational Accident Benefit ownership status. Informal sector workers who have a greater tendency to have Occupational Accident Insurance are informal workers with the characteristics of residing in urban areas, male gender, having income greater than or equal to the provincial minimum wage, have been married, having an age range of 15- 25 years old, minimum education is high school, and the maximum number of household members is 4 peopl
Influence of adding a convex lens as a solar concentrator on the performance of solar cooker with an octagonal panel
Currently, the two most popular renewable energy is solar power and wind power. However, solar power can be harvested almost in every region for a whole year during the day because Indonesia is located at the equator with average daily radiation of 4,8 kWh/m2. One way to use solar power is used in a solar cooker. The octagonal solar cooker is combine of box type solar cooker and panel type solar cooker. The box part is made of a zincalume with a half-cylinder shape as a reflector from the octagonal reflector to the cooking tray. An addition of convex lens put under the cooking tray. In each cooking tray, 500 mL of water was placed, and the sun's radiation heated the water. Performance of solar cooker tested at 09.00 in the morning for two and half hour or 180 minute . The results show that adding four convex lenses improved the solar cooker's performance, allowing the highest temperature to rise to 86 °C and increasing efficiency to 15.9%. In comparison to an addition, only one convex lens raises the temperature to 84,3 °C with a 15.4% efficiency, while the temperature without the lens rises to 70 °C with an 11.4% efficiency
Effect of zinc ion substitution on sodium-nickel-manganese materials as cathode materials
Sodium is one of the new materials to replace Lithium in battery manufacture. For this reason, further research is needed to explore this new material and its composition that meets the cathode material standards. This research aims to synthesize and characterize the Sodium-Nickel-Manganese material with the Zn2+ combination, which is expected to be used as a battery cathode material. The characterization used is XRD, SEM, and LCR-meter. In this research, we succeeded in synthesizing and characterizing Sodium-Nickel-Manganese material with a particle size of around 250-500 nm. Characterization using an LCR meter obtained conductivity values of 6.77 ×10-6,7.46×10-4 and 5.45×10-2S/cm at 100 Hz, 1.86 ×10-6,8.75×10-4 and 1.16 S/cm at 1.5 KHz, 1.7 ×10-6,9.45×10-4 and 1.51 S/cm at 3 KHz, for Zn2+ substitution with x=0.1, 0.15, and 0.20, respectively
The Influence of Mounting Angle on Gurney Flap on The Aerodynamics Performance of NACA 0015 Using CFD Method
Improving the airfoil aerodynamics is quite an essential aspect of the aviation industry. One method for improving airfoil aerodynamics involves applying passive flow control techniques. The effect of using the gurney flap as passive flow control was explored through the CFD approach with the RANS control equation and incorporating k-epsilon as a turbulence model. The airfoil model utilized in this study was the NACA 0015 airfoil operating at a Reynolds number of 1×106. This study explored three different mounting angles of the gurney flap, namely 45°, 60°, and 90°. The outcomes show that adding the gurney flap has positive results in increasing the lift and drag of the NACA 0015. An airfoil with a mounting angle flap of 45° has an average percentage increase in Cl of 23%, followed by a mounting angle flap of 60°, which is 28%, and a percentage Cl of 45% for a mounting angle flap of 90°. Meanwhile, Gurney flaps with a mounting angle of 45° can increase Cd by an average percentage of 3%, while mounting angle flap at 60° increases the Cd percentage by 4% and 5% for a mounting angle of 90°. Moreover, fluid flow visualization with pressure and velocity contours was given at AoA 10º to determine its effect on increasing lift and drag on the NACA 0015 airfoil
Analysis Of Magnus Effect Toward The Shaft Of Vetical Axis Hydro Turbine H-Darrieus
One way to fight climate change is making a transition from fossil fuel powered energy into renewable energy. In Indonesia the government have the national energy mix prediction which state that in 2050 58% Indonesian energy source will be renewable. The biggest source of renewable energy in Indonesia come from marine source. One sources of marine energy are tidal currents that can be harness by using hydrokinetic turbine. The goal to be solved is to determine the effect of magus force toward the turbin shaft. Shaft rotation speed and fluid velocity will be determined as the variation. The method used is computational fluid dynamic using fine marine numeca software to determine magnus force magnitude and mdsolids software to calculate the maximum bending moment after the magnus force applied. The results is magnus force just increase the minimum required diameter of turbine shaft by 0.26% and the corresponding safety factor is 1.889 more than 1.0 thus there is no need to replace or strengthen the existing turbine shaft
Analysis of Solar Panel Energy Consumption on Tourist Boats in Labuan Bajo
Renewable energy is alternative energy that is currently being developed. In the current development of transportation, renewable energy is something that must be utilized properly in creating environmentally friendly modes of transportation. The use of renewable energy in the shipping industry plays a very important role in the era of the fossil fuel crisis. Research on this ship uses solar panels to convert solar energy into electrical energy, this energy can be used for ship navigation purposes. The ship's propulsion system uses an electric engine. The electric engine uses a battery that can be recharged when the ship is docked at the port. The solar panels used by Thin Film Solar Cells are lighter and have a high efficiency value. Total energy use for navigation is 799.6 kW. This ship uses 182 Thin Film Solar Cells with a capacity of 100 WP. This ship uses 4 batteries, where 1 main battery is used to drive the electric motor. Meanwhile, for backup energy storage, navigation uses 3 batteries
Perbandingan Harga Opsi Reset dengan Metode Monte Carlo Standar dan Control Variate
Opsi bermanfaat untuk melindungi investor dari risiko kenaikan atau penurunan harga saham. Opsi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah opsi reset dengan tipe call dan put yang bersifat path-dependent. Dalam kebanyakan kasus, opsi yang bersifat path-dependent tidak memiliki solusi analitik sehingga perlu dilakukan pendekatan numerik untuk menghitung harga wajar opsi jenis ini. Dalam penelitian ini, metode numerik yang digunakan adalah metode Monte Carlo standar dan Monte Carlo control variate. Ditunjukkan pula bahwa harga opsi reset yang dihitung menggunakan kedua metode tersebut konvergen menuju solusi eksak. Hal ini menandakan bahwa kedua metode dapat digunakan untuk menentukan harga opsi reset. Hasil penghitungan kedua metode tersebut kemudian dibandingkan berdasarkan kecepatan kekonvergenannya yang dihitung menggunakan galat relatif yang dihasilkan dari masing-masing metode. Metode Monte Carlo control variate menghasilkan galat relatif yang lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan Monte Carlo standar pada kedua tipe opsi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Monte Carlo control variate merupakan metode yang lebih akurat dibandingkan metode Monte Carlo standar. Pengaruh nilai parameter model juga dibandingkan untuk menentukan harga opsi reset. Nilai volatilitas yang semakin besar membuat harga opsi reset cenderung semakin mahal pada kedua tipe opsi reset. Waktu reset yang semakin dekat dengan tanggal terbit opsi ataupun waktu jatuh tempo opsi menyebabkan harga opsi reset cenderung semakin murah. Sedangkan tingkat bunga bebas risiko menyebabkan perubahan perilaku harga yang berbeda pada opsi put dan call. Dengan meningkatnya tingkat bunga bebas risiko, harga opsi call akan semakin meningkat, sedangkan harga opsi put semakin menurun
