    Get PDF
This study discusses the construction of mathematical models for the mechanism of protein synthesis involving the main regulator mTORC1 gene which is described in the singular pathway mTOR of the AMPK pathway. The genes in question include: AMPK, TSC2, Rheb, mTORC1 and S6K. The method used for this research is divided into two stages, namely pathway analysis for the mechanism of protein synthesis and the second is the formulation of mathematical models. Pathway analysis is performed as a reference in describing interactions in the form of kinetic reaction schemes. After the interaction scheme is created, it is then formulated into a mathematical model with the independent variable being time. Mathematical models for the mechanism of protein synthesis involving mTORC1 of the AMPK pathway in the form of ordinary time-dependent differential equations involving independent variables [TSC2], [pAMPK], [pTSC2], [Rheb^{GTP}], [Rheb^{GDP}], [mTORC1], [Raptor], [aRaptor], [Deptor], [PRAS40], [mTOR], [amTORC1], [mLST8], [S6K1] and [pS6K1]

Data Quality Management Strategy To Improve Remote Sensing Data Quality: A Case Study On National Remote Sensing Data Bank

    Get PDF
National Remote Sensing Data Bank (Bank Data Penginderaan Jauh Nasional; BDPJN) is the operational implementer in the field of remote sensing to meet the needs of national data on remote sensing images. Remote sensing images are essential in the Indonesian government for various needs, such as in regional (spatial planning, city boundaries), disaster (forest fires, floods, landslides, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions), plantation, natural resources, and environment sectors. Quality management of BDPJN’s satellite images becomes challenging due to the increasing number of products owned and users annually. For this reason, a data quality management strategy is needed to guarantee and improve the quality of BDPJN data. To develop such a strategy, an assessment of the maturity of BDPJN’s data quality man- agement was conducted from the aspect of data processing by implementing Loshin’s Data Quality Management Maturity Model (DQM3) to find out the characteristics that were lacking. The results were then mapped based on Data Quality Management (DQM) activities in DAMA-DMBOK as a recommendation for data quality management strategies. This study applies quantitative research where data collection was done by distributing questionnaires to 24 respondents who are data stewards of medium, high, and very high-resolution mosaic images. Based on the assessment, BDPJN is in the maturity level of Defined to Managed. The recommendations are 21 DQM activities that can be carried out to improve BDPJN data quality

Concrete performances have weaknesses; one of those weaknesses is that it is significantly affected when put in a high sulfate and chloride environment. This study aims to investigate sulfate's effect on PCC concrete's performance. In this research, PCC concrete was immersed in water for 28 days and conducted after the casting. After being soaked in water, three immersed specimens were removed and immersed in magnesium sulfate solution for 24 days and 84 days, whereas three others were removed and immersed in natrium sulfate solution for 24 days and 84 days. The observation showed that PCC concrete's average compressive strength test with water immersion was 42.17 Mpa. It meets the SNI 2847:2019 Indonesian standard for sulfate classification S1. The specimens decreased to 30.74 Mpa after being soaked in the magnesium sulfate solution for 28 days and again reduced to 25.39 Mpa at 84 days. The average compressive strength of specimens bathed in the sodium sulfate solution for 28 days was 32.19 Mpa. It decreased to 28.03 Mpa at the age of 84 days. The results of this study show that the compressive strength of PCC concrete soaked in sodium sulfate meets the SNI 2847:2019 standard for sulfate classification S1, which is more than 28 Mpa. The compressive strength of PCC concrete immersed in magnesium sulfate for 1 month (28 days) is more than 28 MPa. It meets the standard as well. Yet, the compressive strength of PCC concrete soaked in magnesium sulfate for 3 months (84 days) does not meet the standard

Measurement of Recyclable Raw Materials Trading for Circular Economy Implementation

    Get PDF
In the context of resource scarcity and food energy security in the midst of increasing food demand, the circular economy (CE) is a promising strategy to address the sustainable use of resources. This article aims to propose measurement elements in raw materials with recyclable concepts in implementing CE in the food and beverage industry. However, the CE framework has not been adapted to the needs of the Food And Beverages Industry. This article attempts to address this gap by analyzing the range of available indicators to measure trade in recyclable raw materials, namely by looking at the difference between the value of exports and imports. Thus, the differences in the CE framework can theoretically be adapted to the production system in the Food And Beverages Industry. So that the implementation of CE can be implemented in accordance with its functions, strategies and principles in managing a business model that replaces the concept of "end of life" by recycling raw materials which aims to create a quality environment, economic prosperity and benefits for future generations

Structure Identification of Nanopowder TiO2 Synthesized by Coprecipitation Method

    Get PDF
Titanium dioxide, or TiO2 is a semiconductor material with many advanced applications, such as photocatalysts. Generally, TiO2 has three primary forms of crystal structure: anatase, brookite, and rutile. Among these types of crystal structures, anatase has good properties in photocatalysts application due to its band gap value (3.20eV) and stability. Further, there are many methods to synthesize TiO2, such as sol-gel, hydrothermal method, etc. Still, the copreciptation method has a suitable method because it is easy to produce, high pure product and low cost. However, many parameters control the quality of TiO2 itself: pH, temperature, time and mechanical process. Especially for the mechanical process, no results were reported about structure identification of TiO2 at mixing time below 25 hours. In this research, titanium dioxide (TiO2) powder has been investigated using coprecipitation method and TiCl3 as a raw material. The TiO2 was synthesized by mixing the time duration at 5, 10 and 25 hours in this method. Analysis using x-ray diffraction shows that all the samples have an anatase phase. Further, Rietveld refinement analysis shows that mixing duration time does not significantly affect the lattice parameters

Penentuan Parameter Indeks Kompresi Tanah Berdasarkan Rumus Empiris (Studi Kasus: Bontang, Kalimantan Utara)

    Get PDF

Economic growth is one of the indicators in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on increasing economic activity.  One of the activities that supports the running of the economy is trade between countries, such as exports.  In Indonesia, non-oil and gas exports have played an important role in total exports in recent years, including coal exports being the main export.  Therefore, price predictions for Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports are very important as material for evaluating policies to encourage economic growth.  This is the main focus of this research.  In this study, non-oil and gas export price forecasts are made taking into account current issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war.  The accuracy of the model obtained from the Fourier series estimator and Support Vector Regression (SVR) is investigated by comparing the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value to predict Indonesia's non-oil and gas export prices.  The results of the study show that the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war have had a significant impact on non-oil and gas export prices. The SVR model with the Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel shows better accuracy than the Fourier series estimator model of the cos sin function, with MAPE values of 9.29 and 15.26% for each test data, respectively.  Therefore, this study is expected to be the basis for formulating policies related to regulating non-oil and gas export processes to support economic growth in Indonesia
