    Application of Non-Linear Fiber Section Model on Spun Piles With and Without Concrete Infill Subjected to Cyclic Loading

    This numerical analysis study predicts the behavior of spun piles with and without concrete infill under cyclic flexural loading and constant axial load. A fiber section using STKO pre- and post-processor for the OpenSEES program was employed. Spun piles were modeled using displacement-based beam-column elements with distributed plasticity and cyclic loading procedures with displacement control. The numerical method proposed for this research was verified by comparing it to reliable experimental results

    The Effect of Bar Diameter on Bond Stress of Geopolymer Concrete with Pull-out Test

    Geopolymer concrete, an eco-friendly alternative, employs silica, alumina, and alkaline activators. While wet mixing has been extensively studied, its limitations, such as impracticality, quick setting, and low workability, are overcome by the dry mixing method. Study by previous research is limited only to compressive strength, flexural strength, and shrinkage. However, research on bond strength, crucial for concrete-reinforcement adhesion, is limited. This study investigates bond strength through pull-out tests using consistent concrete materials, including Type C fly ash, 12M NaOH, and an alkali ratio of 1:1. Specimens with varying reinforcement diameters (D10, D12, D16) and additional transverse reinforcement (f6-150) were tested. Bond stress averages at D10, D12, and D16 are 25.80 MPa, 25.36 MPa, and 24.25 MPa. Reinforcement diameter directly influences bond strength, with larger diameters yielding greater bond stress

    Conceptual Framework for Risk Management in the Container Shipping Operations to Support Maritime Logistics in Indonesia

    Risk management is an important thing to do in every business activity and by business operator to ensure business continuity. The trend of increasing container shipping volumes in Indonesia shows the increasing need for a low-cost logistics distribution with large volumes. This condition will also be balanced by an increase in potential risks in container shipping operations. Previous research generally focuses on certain activities or locations, and there has not been much research on risk management in container shipping operations in a sequence activities of supply chain. The various risk management methods that exist today provide many options for implementation. This condition also provides an opportunity and is important to do further research in this area. This research is devoted to risk management of container shipping operations activities, and is intended to determine risk management research trends, existing risk management methods, potential or research gaps for further research as well as risk management framework concepts that can be proposed. The research was carried out using bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review of previous research, interpreting the results in the form of qualitative descriptions to answer existing problems. Research results show an increasing research trend for the last 5 years, with 18 method of risk management applied. This research provides a concept of how to assess container shipping operation risk management related to logistic supply chain.   The option of integrating 3 risk management approach methods, namely SCOR, CSORA and HOR, is proposed in this research, as a conceptual framework for risk management in container shipping operations to support maritime logistics in Indonesia, including propose location or object and aspects for further research, and 3 key success factors to implement the conceptual framework as a reference

    Implementation Of Poverty Reduction Policies By The Regional Poverty Reduction Coordination Team (TKPKD) in West Pasaman District

    This research is based on the need to accelerate poverty reduction for community welfare. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of poverty reduction policies by TKPKD West Pasaman Regency. This research uses qualitative research. The research location was at the West Pasaman Social Service office, the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), as well as poor villages and community leaders in West Pasaman Regency. Data collection techniques include interviews, documentation studies and field notes. The data validation technique used is a triangulation technique which involves re-checking data previously obtained from various sources to assess the correctness of the data. The data analysis procedure is broken down into several processes which include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, as well as drawing conclusions and verification. The research results show that poverty reduction by West Pasaman Regency TKPKD has not fully achieved the desired targets. There are several factors that influence the implementation of poverty reduction policies by West Pasaman Regency TKPKD, namely; First, the environment is still considered bad. This happens because there are still many individuals who are lazy to work. Second, there are still many organizations that are less active in working in the social sector, especially in terms of eradicating poverty. Third, the resources that West Pasaman Regency has in the TKPKD sector are still not optimal because West Pasaman has not fully maximized the resources that have been applied. Fourth, the character of the implementing agency: In this case, TKPKD implementers have not carried out their responsibilities well

    Implementation of Material Control in Tugboat Ship Building Using the Lot For Lot (LFL) Method Case Study : (PT.PMP)

    Material procurement in the shipping industry accounts for 2/3 of the total production cost.  PT.PMP is a company that focuses on the shipbuilding industry including Ship Design, Ship Building and Ship Repair. In the implementation of material procurement, there are often delays in the delivery of materials from suppliers resulting in delayed production time. Material inventory in the warehouse is sometimes insufficient to meet production needs. In the Pre-Order system, the company must ensure the availability of prepared planning items, but the Company sometimes faces a shortage of raw materials which results in delays in the delivery of promised goods. Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is a method used to organize and plan material orders. The purpose of this study is to determine the material planning strategy using the Lot for Lot method and the Economic Order Quantity method comparison between efficient methods at PT.PMP and to determine the efficiency results of the comparison between the Lot for Lot (LFL) method, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and the existing method at PT.PMP. The materials analyzed are Plate and Profile in the New Building Tugboat Project. The results obtained from the inventory cost research that the Lot for Lot method is 28%, the Economic Order Quantity method results in an inventory cost of 29% and the company method that is still being applied results in a high cost of 43%. The Lot for Lot method is more efficient by 15% than the existing method applied by the company

    In this work, we model temperature evolution inside a batch type rotary dryer by using the bond-graph method. The evolution model proposed here is mainly developed to predict dried material temperature inside the dryer during drying process. We implement the model in the 20-SIM bond-graph simulator (Controllab Products, the Netherlands) which shows realistic behaviors of the dried material temperature evolution with different combustion scenarios and rotation speeds

    In 2021, there will be 9 million cases of measles worldwide. Twenty-two countries have large numbers of measles infections. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia or Ministry of Health recorded that there were more than 3,341 cases of measles spread across 223 districts/cities in 31 provinces. The control of measles cases carried out by the Indonesian government has been through vaccination since 2000. The first vaccine is given to children aged nine months, the second vaccine is given to children aged 18 months, and the third dose is in grades 1-6 of elementary school (SD). This research uses the SVEIR mathematical model for the spread of measles with adjustments to government efforts and recommendations from the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) to prevent an increase in the spread of measles through preventative vaccination. In this SVEIR model, there are seven classes, namely Susceptible (S), first dose vaccination (V1), second dose vaccination (V2), third dose vaccination (V3), Exposed (E), Infected (I), and Recovered (R). This research aims to analyze the SVEIR model on the spread of measles with three vaccinations, the stability of the equilibrium point, and determine the effect of vaccination in controlling measles. The analysis results show that the endemic equilibrium point is asymptotically unstable, and the non-endemic equilibrium point is asymptotically stable with R_0=0.0736829 <1. This indicates that measles will disappear on the 260th day or around 8.5 months after implementing the vaccination program

    Fuzzy implementation for temperature control on coffee roaster machine

    A roaster machine is a machine that is used for the process of determining the quality of the coffee it gets. The roaster machine at Puslitkoka still uses a manual process so that the Post Harvest operator always maintains the roasting process when researching to get quality coffee beans. The roaster machine at Puslitkoka is still maintained by the operator to stabilize the temperature of 140oC - 200oC with a time of 10 to 15 minutes to get the desired coffee beans. As a result of some of the problems above, it is necessary to develop a roaster machine. By adding a thermocouple sensor to measure the temperature that can move the servo valve to stabilize the gas output during the roasting process using the fuzzy logic method. When it reaches a temperature of 140oC the servo motor opens as input for coffee beans. All data obtained will be managed by Arduino Mega 2560. With the creation of this tool, it was found that the temperature control on the coffee roaster using the fuzzy method has a more minor average steady-state error of 5.85%. The conventional method has a larger error than fuzzy logic because the temperature increase is linear with time. For the required roasting time, the fuzzy method has a shorter time with an average of 549.67 seconds than the conventional method with an average time of 811.34 seconds
