Modeling the Percentage of Tuberculosis Cure in Indonesia Using a Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline Approach
Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. After India, Indonesia is the country with the second highest number of TB sufferers in the world. TB prevention efforts in Indonesia have been carried out, even since 1995. However, in general, 2006-2022 the TB cure in Indonesia tends to experience a downward trend. Therefore, it is important to know what variables have a significant effect and how the pattern relates to the percentage of TB cures. We urgently need this information to optimize TB handling efforts and achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 3, which focuses on good health and well-being. For that purpose, this study used the Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline (MARS) approach. MARS is considered more flexible in overcoming cases of predictor variables that do not form a certain pattern to their response variables and can accommodate possible interactions between predictor variables. The best model was obtained at BF=18,MI=2, and MO=0 with minimum GCV value is 37.053 and R^2 is 91.6%, with significant predictor variables are food management sites meet the requirements according to standards, complete treatment, smoking population over 15 years, families with healthy latrines, and districts/municipalities implement healthy living germas policy. The significance of the nine predictors should prioritize enhancing the quality of health services for example ensuring a fair distribution of complete treatment for TB patients
Perencanaan Rute Aman Selamat Sekolah (RASS) di Kawasan Pendidikan Kota Surakarta : Pembebanan Rute dan Pemenuhan Fasilitasnya
Banjarsari Sub-district has the highest density in Surakarta City causing traffic to be crowded and less friendly for students travelling. The need to improve student safety by providing safe road equipment facilities is the purpose of applying the RASS concept. The OD Matrix method was used to see the distribution of students divided into 22 zones based on administrative boundaries, PKJI 2023 and EAN were used to analyse the loading of student travel routes, and to analyse the fulfilment of pedestrian, cycling and public transport facilities, relevant guidelines were used. RASS conceptualised travel routes were created for the demand of the zones with the largest generation, which came from zone 20, zone 4, and zone 21. The recommended pedestrian facilities are sidewalks on each pedestrian route and zebra crossing facilities. The addition of special bicycle lanes and lanes is recommended on 3 routes consisting of 9 road sections
Analysis of the Relationship Between Percentage Coral Cover and Water Quality Effects in Penuktukan, Bali
The coral reef ecosystem is a diverse ecosystem that provides coastal protection, food sources, and raw materials for medicine, among other ecosystem services. Coral reef research in Penuktukan, Bali, is fundamental given its urgency in preserving the biodiversity and health of existing marine ecosystems. However, the condition of coral reefs in Penuktukan has yet to be widely studied. Hence, information on species diversity, health conditions, and the impact of environmental change and human activities on this ecosystem still needs to be explored. This research is aimed at fill these data gaps by evaluate the health status of coral reefs, identifying species present, and assessing the impacts of environmental and anthropogenic factors on coral reefs in Penuktukan. The study was conducted at eight observation stations to represent differences in environmental characteristics in July 2023. Field observations were conducted to measure water parameters, and underwater Photo Transects were used to determine the percentage of live coral cover. The results obtained on average water parameters include a temperature of 26.4 ° C, a salinity of 32.7‰, a pH meter of 7.7, a brightness of 3 meters, a depth of 3 meters, and 7 meters depth of 7 meters. This study identified coral massive (CM), coral encrusted (CE), and coralfoliose (CF), which were the most prevalent life forms in Penuktukan Village. The average percentage of live coral reefs in Penuktukan Village was 30.42 %, which suggests that coral reefs in Penuktukan Village Waters are in a medium condition, which is suitable for supporting coral reef ecosystem resilience and development
Electrodiogram Signal Classification by Using XGBoost in Different Discrete Wavelet Transform
Electrocardiogram (ECG) is electrical signal from heart. ECG can use for Detection or tracking the hearth health. The one of method can use is machine learning. Machine learning is Algorithm which can learning from data and is used for classifying and predicting. Machine Learning can use for signal classification, in this case is for ECG classification. In signal processing, wavelet transform is common method for analyzing signal. Wavelet transform has many familly. The aim from this research is to find the best wavelet transform in the classification of Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals on XGBoost. The Discrete Wavelet Transform which is used for the research is daubechies, coiflets, symlets, biorthogonal, reverse biorthogonal, haar. Finally, the best wavelet transform in the classification is biorthogonal (3.1) with F1 score 1.0
Hydrodynamic Force Comparison on Multi-Hull, Monohull and Single-to-Twin After Ship Hull (STASH) Based on Seakeeping Criteria
An investigation into the hydrodynamic force and seakeeping of single-to-twin after ship hull (STASH) and multi-hull geometry was done successfully. STASH is characterized by its monohull-shaped design in the fore part and twin hull in the rear part creating unique performance, especially seakeeping which being the focus study to provide seaworthiness. The method of accomplishing this study was through computer simulation using Maxsurf: Motion for seakeeping and hydrodynamic force analysis. The overall results were compared with published data and mathematical models for validation purposes. The results are believed to be useful for the development of the ship design and performance
“Yeah, I Know You Always Stay”: Menjelajahi Dunia Virtual ARMY pada Fanbase @bitiesfess Selama Hiatus Grup
Cultural researchers have long been concerned about the development of K-Pop fan activities. ARMY fandom stands out as a unique research subject because this community has its style of expressing feelings and admiration for BTS. Within a virtual community of fans (fanbase), ARMY fandom gathers and interacts actively. ARMY Indonesia actively builds fan closeness, exemplified by the @bitiesfess fanbase. Even when the group undergoes military service (hiatus), ARMY Indonesia actively communicates and supports BTS. Researchers analyzed fan interactions using a virtual ethnographic approach. The research results reveal four key areas of fandom interaction in the @bitiesfess fanbase: 1) The communication area actively segments into four forms: real-time updates, fan jokes, nostalgia, and exposure. 2) The fanbase's creativity field actively comprises various fan edits and memes. 3) The field of knowledge during the hiatus period actively dominates with activity schedules, member updates, education, advice, and fun facts. 4) The organization and civil power field actively invite followers to support movements, e.g., streaming, philanthropy, reporting and blocking, and advocacy campaigns
Analysis of Blade Profile Effects on Performance of Wells Turbine as Wave Energy Converter using CFD Method
An oscillating water column (OWC) is a type of power generation device that converts ocean wave energy into electrical energy. The motion of ocean waves forces air through the OWC column and drives a rotor connected to a generator to produce electricity. The Wells turbine is a typical kind of rotor for OWC system. The performance of the Wells turbine can be influence by various factor, such as its geometry. Over the time, various research have been conducted to enhance the Wells turbine design. This study aims to analyze the impact of blade profiles on an 8-bladed Wells turbine’s performance using the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method. A full-domain with multiple reference frame (MRF) approach is applied to represent the rotating flow of the turbine. The flow is solved using Reynold Average Navier-Stokes (RANS) solver accompanied by shear stress transport turbulunce model to capture the boundary layer near the wall. In this study, some blade profiles including NACA 0012, NACA 0015, and NACA 0018, with chord lengths of 100 mm, 125 mm, and 150 mm, are examined. The results of this study reveal that the NACA 0018 blade profile with a 150 mm chord length improves the torque coefficient by 36.28% and the power coefficient by 1.04% compared to other configurations
Reproductive Hormone Performance: Glass Strain Common carp (Cyprinus carpio) Reared in The Wet and Dry Seasons
Glass strain carp (Cyprinus carpio) is highly demanded by farmers due to its delicious, dense meat and fewer spines. To meet the increasing demand for carp, it is necessary to improve the efficiency of aquaculture. The season is known to stimulate one hormone production. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of season (rainy and dry seasons) on reproductive hormones (follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), testosterone and estrogen, and interstitial cell-stimulating hormone)) in C. carpio glass strain. Idi research was conducted using the descriptive method by rearing fish in different seasons (rainy season and dry season). The results showed that the reproductive hormone of C. carpio strain glass increased during the rainy season. During the rainy season, changes in the environment and water flow patterns are detected by the fish's sensory system. The results showed that the highest hormones in a row were: ICSH hormone (12.82 pg/mL), FSH hormone (male: 3.73 ng/mL; female: 12.10 ng/mL), LH hormone (12.48 MIU/ml), testosterone hormone (9.27 ng/mL) and estrogen hormone (21.84 ng/mL). Further research is needed to observe the growth and abnormality of fish larvae produced in different seasons
Smart Port Management in Digital Transformation: A Review for Future Research
Ports are basic center points in worldwide transportation, affecting supply chains and national economies. With the rise of Industry 4.0, joining computerised change such as IoT, huge information, cloud computing, and AI into harbour operations has ended up progressively vital. This study provides a systematic evaluation of 41 selected articles focusing on three critical aspects of smart port development: developments in digital transformation, assessment of smart port implementation, and related challenges and limitations. Utilizing indicators such as technology relevance, operational efficiency, user experience, regulatory barriers, and infrastructure readiness, the analysis reveals that a significant number of articles contributed to digital transformation technologies (average score: 7.61), performance evaluation (average score: 6.63), and challenges and barriers (average score: 6.15). Trend graphs and Pareto diagrams highlight fluctuations in contributions and emphasize that a small number of high-scoring articles have a considerable impact. This research underscores the importance of a thorough and systematic approach in assessing digital transformation technologies and offers valuable insights into the current landscape, opportunities, and challenges. The findings are intended to guide stakeholders in developing effective strategies for achieving sustainable digital transformation in smart ports
Analysis of Container Yard Requirements at Sorong Container Port
Along with the increase in trade activities by sea, the need for adequate port facilities, including the Container Yard, is becoming increasingly important. This study aims to analyze the needs of stacking yard facilities at Sorong Container Port. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection through documentation studies and observation at the research location, namely Sorong Container Port. The results showed that although the flow of containers is projected to continue to increase until 2026, the use of the stacking yard is still low with a Yard Occupancy Ratio (YOR) ranging from 12.43% to 14.59%. This indicates an opportunity to improve port operational efficiency. This study recommends optimizing the use of the piling yard, improving the loading and unloading process, developing infrastructure, and improving coordination with stakeholders. Further analysis of infrastructure investment and comparative studies with other ports are also recommended
