    Get PDF
Health is a condition of total physical, mental, and social well-being, rather than simply the lack of disease or weakness. One way to assess health indicators in a region is by enhancing the development of the health sector, which may be quantified using the life expectancy index (LEI). This study seeks to analyze the impact of average years of schooling, the adjusted per capita expenditure, and the number of poor people on life expectancy in NTB province from 2011 to 2020. The study's individual observation units consist of 10 regencies/cities in NTB Province. The data were obtained from BPS NTB in a panel data format and processed using the panel regression method. The panel model selection indicates that the Random Effect Model is the most suitable to predict the life expectancy in NTB province. The average years of schooling and the adjusted per capita expenditure have a notable impact on the life expectancy in NTB province. The effect provided is a beneficial impact. The number of poor people has a limited impact on life expectancy. Simultaneously, the average years of schooling, the adjusted per capita expenditure, and the number of poor people in the province of NTB have a substantial impact on the life expectancy.

Analysis of Existing Slope Reinforcement Design on Clay Shale Soil and Its Alternative Modifications: A Case Study of the Awunio – Lapuko Road Section Sta 4+955 – 5+015 in the Southeast Sulawesi Province

    Get PDF
A landslide occurred in the Awunio – Lapuko road section from STA 4+955 to STA 5+015, causing the road shoulder to collapse. It is estimated that the cause of this is the entry of water into the soil, affecting the properties of clay shale. An analysis of the existing slope stability and its planning needs to be done. Water management planning and alternative reinforcement are necessary if the stability does not meet the requirements. The slope stability analysis is conducted on the existing slope and the existing design using manual calculation methods and the GEO5 software. The stability aspects considered include overturning stability, sliding stability, bearing capacity, and overall stability. The analysis of the existing slope stability shows safety from landslide incidents. However, this contradicts the field observations, so a crack soil approach is used to understand the landslide conditions in the field, resulting in a safety factor (SF) of 0.95. The existing design, which includes a retaining wall with bored piles, yields a slope stability with an SF of 7.87. Water management system planning indicates that the drainage channel capacity can still accommodate the water flow resulting from rainfall. The construction of subdrains increases the SF on the slope to 1.38 but requires additional reinforcement. The retaining wall design with bored pile results in a slope stability 2.11. Meanwhile, the alternative of subdrains with additional geotextile reinforcement yields a slope stability of 1.96. The alternative geotextile design achieves slope stability with an SF of 1.77, ensuring safety and meeting stability requirements

    Get PDF
Utilization of residual soil in the Trans Sumatra Toll Road Construction Project Padang - Sicincin Section found residual soil types at Sta. 27+000 - 27 + 400 as road embankment and subgrade can be done by stabilization method where the stabilization material used is a mixture of fly ash, bottom ash, and FABA (fly ash+bottom ash). To obtain the optimum percentage of Fly ash, Bottom ash, or FABA (Fly ash Bottom ash) in improving soil behavior, the variations are 10%, 15%, and 20% of bulk density with an incubation period of 0 days, 7 days and 14 days will be selected.Based on the analysis, it is found that stabilization (fly ash, bottom ash, or FABA) results in changes in physical and mechanical residual soil properties with an increase in the CBR value in addition to fly ash at 10% with a CBR value = 4.02%, bottom ash at 20% with a CBR value = 9.49% and FABA at 20% with a CBR value = 14.32% so that the stabilized soil can be used as ordinary backfill soil or preferred backfill soil

Development and Analysis of an Innovative Precast Concrete U-Shell Beam

    Get PDF
Precast concrete offers several advantages compared to conventional systems; precast concrete structure technology has become a strategy to enhance standardization, quality control, labor efficiency, and reduce environmental impact and construction pollution. The U-Shell precast beam is a reinforced concrete beam with a 'U' shape designed to enhance practicality and expedite the construction process as it does not require additional formwork and shoring during implementation. The U-Shell beam functions as a permanent formwork, and its design follows either monolithic or conventional methods. In multi-story buildings, using U-Shell beam can increase practical value, reduce costs, and improve time efficiency because they do not require additional formwork and scaffolding in the implementation application. This research involves the development of U-Shell precast beams, structure loading considering various loads, modeling using computer program to determine the structural reactions on each element, reinforcement design for the U-Shell beam structure, and analysis of the lifting and assembly of U-Shell precast beam. The building selected for reviewing U-Shell beams is the Building with a Special Moment Resisting Frame System. From the results of the analysis, the researcher drew several conclusions regarding the reinforcement design for the U-Shell beam under both conditions. In the condition before composite, the number of installed main reinforcements is 6 with a diameter of 13 mm, while in the condition after composite, the number increases to 8 with a diameter of 16 mm. Lifting reinforcement requires a diameter of 10 mm. The difference in reinforcement between before composite and after composite conditions is because before the composite the beam is still receiving self-load, whereas for the after composite condition the change in moment occurs. After all, the beam has received self-load and other loads. The development and analysis of an innovative precast concrete U-Sheel beam has complied with strength and serviceability

Empowering New Capital Zones: East Kalimantan’s Economic District Outlooks Using Location Quotient and Cluster Analysis

    Get PDF
This research focuses on investigating the economy of the new capital buffer zone by identifying and clustering its leading sectors in GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product) of East Kalimantan. The identification of a region’s leading sector through LQ (Location Quotient) index has proven to be effective. In addition, k-means clustering and Self-Organizing Maps (SOM) are adopted to provide comprehensive insights. The results show that LQ index quickly identifies the main sectors in each district of East Kalimantan. In addition, the kmeans clustering has better performance than SOM based on the Silhouette coefficient. This meticulous analysis confirms the existence of two distinct clusters, one including eight members and the other consisting of only two. Anticipating future research endeavours, the exploration of various approaches for constructing clusters, encompassing both hierarchical and non-hierarchical approaches, provides the potential to enhance the performance of clusters. By investigating this structure, a more comprehensive comprehension of the economic framework of East Kalimantan can be achieved, as well as its potential role as a buffer for the capital region

A simple graph G(V,E) admits a reverse super edge bimagic labeling if there exists a bijection function ζ that taking the vertices u,w ∈ V(G) that incident on edge uw such that the sum of vertex labels incident on edge uw is subtracted from edge label are two different constants τ1 and τ2. The reverse edge bimagic labeling is said to be reverse super edge bimagic labeling if the labels of vertices are 1,2, . . . , |V(G)| and the labels of edges are |V(G)|+1, |V(G)|+2, . . . , |V(G)|+|E(G)|. In this paper we investigate that gear graph, dove tail graph, and hibiscus graph admits a reverse super edge bimagic labeling

Ensemble Cluster Method For Clustering Cabbage Production In East Java

    Get PDF
Cluster analysis is a multivariate analysis method classified under interdependence methods, where explanatory variables are not differentiated from response variables. The methods used include hierarchical cluster analysis, such as agglomerative and divisive, and non-hierarchical methods such as Self Organizing Maps (SOM) based on Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). Various cluster analysis methods often yield diverse solutions, making it challenging to determine the optimal solution. Therefore, the ensemble cluster method is employed to combine various clustering solutions without considering the initial data characteristics with providing better results. One case study of clustering is the grouping of cabbage production. East Java Province has become the third-highest cabbage-producing province in Indonesia with a production of 210,454 tons. Clustering of cabbage-producing regencies/cities was conducted to optimize production and identify areas that have not yet reached their maximum potential. This study compares five clustering methods which are hierarchical analysis (complete linkage, single linkage, average linkage), Self-Organizing Map (SOM), and Ensemble Cluster. The quality of clustering was evaluated using the Silhouette Coefficient (SC), Dunn Index (DI), and Connectivity Index (CI). The results indicate that the Ensemble Cluster method showed the best performance, with an SC value of 0.9124, a DI value of 1.3734, and a CI value of 2.9290, indicating excellent cluster separation. Therefore, the ensemble cluster method is recommended as the best clustering method in this study
