    Get PDF
Research to model coal deposits in the Bentarsari Basin area of Salem District in Brebes Regency has been done using the geoelectric-resistivity method with Wenner configuration. Resistivity data acquisition is carried out on five tracks, with each track has a length of 200 m. The least squares inversion method is applied to obtain a 2D-resistivity section model. Furthermore, the 2D-resistivity section model data for each line is combined into a 3D model to determine the coal deposit model in the area. The results of the interpretation indicate that the subsurface structure of the area consists of clay, sandy clay, coal, and sandstone; where the type of coal is lignite. This coal deposit has resistivity values with interval of 86.1 – 219.0 Ωm, which is distributed evenly with depth of 0.0 – 26.5 m, where the southern part of the all track has a higher potential. This research can be followed up with log drill testing to determine the actual subsurface layer, so that it can be utilized as a very economical alternative energy

Determination Program Priority by Applying Variance Analysis Method in Controlling Electricity Main Supply Cost

    Get PDF
PT. ABC is a State-Owned company managing the electricity sector to meet the needs of the community in providing electricity in Indonesia. Electricity is a commodity that effects the lives of many people, so the basic electricity tariff (TDL) to the community is determined by the government. On the other hand, PT ABC's electricity main supply cost (BPP), are the responsibility of PT ABC itself. The achievement of PT ABC's profits is largely determined by how the BPP is managed and controlled. As of March, the BPP target of the PT ABC power plant managed by PT XYZ was not achieved with an increase in deviation of 27.47 Rp/kWh. The causes of and solutions to the increase in BPP could not be known immediately because PT XYZ did not yet have an analytical method that could explain the causes and their proportions to the increasing deviation comprehensively. Therefore, this study is conducted using the Variance Analysis method in the selection process. The result of this study is the development of BPP controlling method by identifying the BPP component deviations from the predetermined standard costs and suggesting better decision making in prioritizing the work program

    Get PDF
This research is focused on the analysis of delays or risks to the implementation of the "Procurement and Installation HVAC Installation" contract at West Madura Offshore Oil Company, which has a working area in the Offshore area. This study uses the HOR (House of Risk) method as an alternative to the ISO31000: 2009 risk management method that has been used internally by West Madura Offshore Oil Company The basis for selecting the HOR (House of Risk) method is the existence of a tool to see the impact (severity) and relations (relations) between the event of a delay and the factoring agent. In identification of the cause of the delay the method used are collecting data primary through Focus Group Discussion between Internal Expert and Secondary data which use project data for Offshore HVAC Project in the period of the year 2016-2018. The HOR (House of Risk) method in conducting this process is presented as follow review historical data and related document, Focus Group Discussion as information gathering techniques, Risk analysis and Risk Register. There are five significant risks from the results of research using the HOR (House of Risk) method, namely Poor-quality shop and coordination drawings, weather constraints, limited quantity and quality of HR (contractors and subcontractors), Absence of duct fabrication workshops at the site and lack of communication between contractor and subcontractor

    Get PDF
The material used in this research was dry powder of pericarp mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana Linn.). which is a family plant of Clusiaceae. This taxa is known as the main source of prenylated xanthones derived from phenolic compounds. The compounds separation process was carried out by maceration method, 8 kg of sample macerated using n-hexane solvent, 90 g of n-hexane extract were produced. The n-hexane extract was fractionated by vacuum liquid chromatography (VLC) using silica gel, eluted by increasing the polarity of the solvent, which is a mixture of n-hexane solvent: dichloromethane (10%, 20%, 30% and 50%), resulting in three combined fractions, namely the first fraction 13,92 g, the second fraction 18,27 g, and the third fraction 23,24 g. The refraction process was then carried out in the third fraction, producing two yellow crystals with melting points respectively, 155-156 °C and 172-173 °C. The structural elucidation method was carried out using UV-Vis, IR, HR-ESI-MS, and NMR spectroscopy techniques. Based on the analysis of spectrum data from two known compounds, 8-deoxygartanin (1) and β-mangostin (2) antidiabetic bioactivity test was carried out by the method of inhibiting the enzyme α-glucosidase in vitro. The test results obtained by compound (1) with an IC50 value of 38,5 μM and compound (2) with an IC50 value of 157,9 μM indicate that the two compounds are included in the inactive category. This is indicated by the IC50 value which is much higher when compared to the acarbose as a positive control with an IC50 value of 4.5 μM

Safety Verification of SEITR Epidemic Model on Recombination HIV and Hepatitis B Virus using Taylor Model

    Get PDF
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is an AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome) virus that attacks the immune system for which there is no cure. When the immune system has decreased, it is prone to diseases such as Hepatitis B disease. To reduce the error value of the number of subpopulations, we use an interval approximation. One of the simulation calculations that the number of variables initially intervals is Taylor model. Taylor's model can be used to verify that the number of people infected with HIV and Hepatitis B will not exceed the specified number of unsafe sets. To calculate the set of states that are reached by the system over a certain period of time, given the initial conditions and parameters. The initial condition is divided into three scenarios, an affordable set of states, safety verification can be done. As a result of the safety verification of the three scenarios provided there is no set of states that are not safe, so the results of all three scenarios are safe
