Automatic Monitoring and Controlled Atmosphere System Using Arduino on Tropical Fruit Container Integrated with IoT
Indonesia is a tropical country that is gifted with various kinds of abundant natural resources. Among them are exotic fruits which are in great demand by other people in the world. Meanwhile, in the delivery and storage process for distribution, technology that can maintain the resilience of the fruit is needed so that it does not ripen quickly, thereby increasing its economic value. From this problem, a device called Controlled Atmosphere Storage (CAS) was created which could store fruit and adjust its room conditions according to the specific air requirements of each commodity in the container. The control system design in this study aims to determine how to regulate the levels of ethylene, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and temperature by using the Arduino Uno as a microcontroller and integrating it with the IoT system. The system consists of a microcontroller, DHT22 sensor, MQ 135 sensor, MQ5 sensor, KE25 sensor, relay, Esp8266, and actuators such as fans and servo. From the experimental results, it is known that the control system used is capable of conducting air conditioning in the container and can integrate it with the IoT concept using Thingspeak.com media
Penerapan Arsitektur Tropis dalam Era New Normal
Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi di dunia saat ini yang memasuki Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan pandemik yang melanda dunia telah mengubah pola hidup manusia, menuntut manusia untuk menggunakan teknologi dalam mewujudkan manusia yang berkehidupan lebih sehat, terampil dan lebih cerdas. Kekayaan arsitektur tropis pada bangunan tradisional di Indonesia menjadi hal yang sangat menarik dalam hubungannya dengan modernisasi dan adaptasi dari masyarakat tradisional menuju masyarakat modern. Masyarakat Indonesia tengah mengalami proses adaptasi budaya baik budaya fisik maupun non fisik dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan serta kemajuan teknologi melalui penggunaan bahan bangunan dan teknologi di dunia sejalan dengan perkembangan teknologi terutama teknologi yang dapat diterapkan pada sebuah bangunan. Era New Normal dengan tuntutan orientasi pada kesehatan dan kenyamanan penghuni dan pengguna bangunan kesadaran akan tuntutan ini membingkai semangat pembangunan arsitektur yang mampu beradaptasi dan berkelanjutan, yaitu beradaptasi dengan modernitas tanpa kehilangan kearifan lokal serta kesesuaian terhadap kondisi iklim Indonesia dengan secara bijaksana.sebagai upaya untuk menyelamatkan bumi. Along with the development of technology, the world has entered the fourth industrial revolution. Especially with the addition of the pandemic, the “New Normal” lifestyle that has been enforced on us has changed our lives fundamentally to use technology to be more safe and smarter in our interaction to live a much healthier life. With that, the ingrained tropical style architecture that’s found widespread across Indonesia has become an interesting trait, seeing that it sparked interest within the modernising public. Many of Indonesians are in the midst of adapting to new cultures. Both in the physical sense and the non-physical sense with the progression sciences and the continuing development of technology, especially through the application and usage of technology within the construction process of buildings in the fourth industrial revolution. This new era demands that health and medical aspects should also be considered as well as the consumer’s comfortability. With this change, it also pushes architects to be more creative and open towards modernity without the expulsion and exclusion of traditional aspects that’s best suited for the tropical climate with a wise intent to preserve earth and its beauty
Experimental & Numerical Studies of Vertical Motion Acceleration Analysis in Helideck on a Catamaran Floating Crane
This research discusses the operability of vertical acceleration in the helideck. The experiment was carried out at the Maneuvering and Ocean Engineering Basin (MOB) facility of the BPPT-ITS Hydrodynamics Technology Center. The model being tested is the catamaran type with a scale of 1:36 to the original scale. Experimental testing using random waves with a Pierson-maskowitz spectrum with Hs = 2.5 and Hs = 6.37 m. The helideck only performs surge sway and heave tests. Meanwhile, numerical analyzes the effects of regular waves at heading 00 450 900 1350 1800 and obtained RAO for Heave, Roll, Pitch movements. For the analysis of landing operability at Helideck using the Olson and Marine criteria, where the limit of wave height according to Olson is obtained, namely for the incoming wave direction of 00, 900,1800, it should not be done more than 3 meters of wave height, while for conditions 450 and 1350 should not be above 4 meters. . For the HCA category, the critical condition when the direction of the wave of 900 with a wave height of 2 meters. At an altitude of 4 meters is the limit of the wave direction 00 450 1350 1800
Analisis Faktor Penyebab CCO dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Biaya Kontraktor Pada Proyek Jalan Tol
This case study showed a 54% increase in Contract Change Order (CCO) work against the initial contract fee. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that cause the occurrence of CCO, the influence of CCO on the contractor cost performance, and how much CCO affecting the contractor costs performance on toll road projects. The research method was using survey methods and data are processed with multiple linear regression. The results of this research shows that CCO work has the impact of increasing costs because of several factors such as contract documents, stakeholders, design, and construction. The most dominant variables that increase in costs were construction variables with a test value of 2,830, a significant value of 0.007, and a regression coefficient of 0.103. This research greatly influenced the performance of costs on toll road works by 80.9% of the remaining 19.1% described by other variables beyond the regression model analyzed
Analysis Effect on Readiness to the Implementation of Performance Based Contract (PBC) in PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero)
The type of contract for the road project used in PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) is currently using the type of General Contracting. The contract is conventional and is considered to have many weaknesses. To obtain more optimal project results and maintenance can run optimally, in addition to improving quality control by the project supervisory team, one way that can be done is to change the use of innovative types of contracts. namely Performance Based Contracts (PBC). When implementing the PBC for the first time, there are several things that must be prepared, one of which is the readiness of the owner and contractor. Analysis in this study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results obtained are that the variable readiness to use PBC has a positive effect on the application of PBC. If the readiness variable increases by one unit and the other variables are considered constant then the PBC implementation variable will increase by 0.390
The Effectiveness of Indonesia’s Feed-in-Tariff Implementation to Improve Business Interest in Renewable Energy Case: The Simulation for Solar Farm in Weh Island (Aceh-Indonesia)
The support of the Indonesian government in encouraging the achievement of renewable energy targets is to impose a Feed in Tariff (FiT) rule as a benchmark purchase price through the State Electricity Provider (PLN). The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in 2013 determined that, the FiT for the Aceh region was 30 cents. In 2017 a new regulation was issued, in which FiT was set at 85% of regional production costs (BPP). In fact, currently BPP available on Weh Island reach more than Rp. 2,500 / kWh, with an average selling price to the community of Rp. 900, - / kWh. This BPP is more expensive than the price setting by the Government in 2017 of Rp 1,733 / kWh. In measuring the FiT's effectiveness, the evaluation solved based on economic valuation. Simulations were carried out for the capacity of 1 and 5 MW solar farms using 2 different panel components by comparing the prices of FiT BPP determined by the government and BPP in actual conditions. The results showed that, simulations with a capacity of 1 MW, using 85% of the government's BPP, were ineffective and not feasible based on economic calculations. whereas with FiT based on actual BPP, the profit to be achieved is about 42-45% / kwh with return-on-investment capital in the 10th year. The simulation with 5 MW capacity shows an effective and feasible profit if it use the actual BPP condition of the FiT with an effective profit value around 49-56% / kwh
FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS FOR DESIGN OF PLATE FOR FRACTURED FEMUR
In this paper, finite element analysis for design of plate for fractured femur is presented. The plates with different hole types are simulated. The types of hole are duo, flower and sloted forms and paired with a screw of 4.5 mm diameter. The plate and screw is made of SUS316L. A maximum load of 550 N is applied for each variation of plate design. The results are presented in terms of deformation and stress for both plate and screw. Numerical results show that the sloted plate is the best among the considered designs, from which the produced stress is below the material yield stress for almost all configurations
Pemenuhan Rumah Layak Huni di Provinsi Riau
Rumah layak huni merupakan kebutuhan dasar manusia untuk memperoleh kehidupan yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pemenuhan hak rumah layak huni di Provinsi Riau. Penelitian yang digunakan melalui pendekatan studi kasus (case study approach). Rancangan penelitian yaitu penelitian eksplanatori. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan September sampai Desember 2019 di Provinsi Riau. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas data primer dan sekunder dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara terstruktur, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dan metode pustaka. Analisis proyeksi penduduk menggunakan metode pertumbuhan penduduk eksponensial. Hasil penelitian dianalisis secara analisis deskriptif. Sementara analisis pencarian perumahan dan permukiman yang berada di kawasan non fungsi permukiman menggunakan pendekatan sistem informasi geografi atau Geographic Information System (GIS) dengan melakukan proses tumpang tindih (overlay). Pemenuhan hak rumah layak huni di Provinsi Riau sangat progresif, mengingat jumlah masyarakat miskin dan belum memiliki rumah sebanyak 314.692 unit rumah tangga dan berpotensi bertambah, selain itu terdapat perumahan/permukiman yang berada diluar fungsi hunian seperti di kawasan hutan lindung, gambut, sempadan sungai dan pantai yang juga menjadi perhatian pemerintah daerah, oleh karenanya melalui Program Pembangunan Rumah Sederhana Layak Huni (RSLH), Pemerintah Daerah Provinsi Riau memenuhi kewajiban layanan dasar agar masyarakat miskin dapat tertolong dari jurang kemiskinan
OTOMATISASI SISTEM PINTU PAGAR MENGGUNAKAN MODUL BLUETOOTH HC-05
Pintu pagar adalah sebuah alat keamanan utama dalam menjaga rumah. Setiap rumah pasti memiliki pintudengan kunci di dalamnya, yang sangat kuat. Masih banyak manusia yang membuka dan mengunci pintu secaramanual. Sehingga hal ini sering mengakibatkan pengguna merasakan ketidaknyamanan dan ketidakefisienan. Pada saatseperti itu, maka kami membuat sebuah sistem pada pagar yang tujuannya agar pengguna bisa dipermudah dalamakses buka tutup pagar. Project yang kami maksud yakni merupakan gagasan teknologi yang berkaitan denganotomatisasi sistem pada era Internet of Things. Pada project ini, kami membuat rancangan sistem pada Pagar Otomatisberbasis Arduino Uno yang nantinya dihubungkan ke smartphone melalui Modul Bluetooth HC-05. Project inisebenarnya mengacu pada penelitian sebelumnya dengan judul “Perancangan Sistem Pintu Pagar OtomatisMenggunakan Remote Kontrol Wireless RF 315”. Yang membedakan dari penelitian sebelumnya yakni terletak padasistem pengendalinya. Pada sistem kendali kami menggunakan Modul Bluetooth HC-05 sehingga bisa diakses melaluismatrphone melalui aplikasi arduino bluetooth controller. Untuk uji coba pada sistem ini, kami menggunakan miniaturpagar sebagai gambaran pada rancangan yang akan kami gunakan. Selain arduino uno dan modul bluetooth HC-05,dan menghubungkan antara ardiuno ke breadboard menggunakan kabel jumper male to female. Dan jugamenggunakan step motor sebagai mesin penggerak pagar yang sudah dihubungkan dengan arduino uno melaluikoding
