    Trust as a Social Capital for Entrepreneurship to Create Innovation

    One indicator of the success of an entrepreneur can be measured by the innovation he created. It is essential that an entrepreneur has the ability to interact and work together in groups so that innovation can be created. Trust is a social capital that makes internal cooperation work well. Competitive aggressiveness is one of the dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation that is still contractual in its impact on innovation. This study wants to find out the relationship between trust in competitive aggressiveness and innovation and the effect of competitive aggressiveness on innovation. Data collection collected using a questionnaire consisting of two parts, the first in the form of open questions to find out problems or difficulties experienced by students and in the second part in the form of questions with a Likert scale. The data took from students who took entrepreneurship courses at UBAYA university. The data collected amounted to 100 and then processed by PLS-SEM analysis using α = 5%. This study found that trust is a critical factor for innovation creation and positively influences to bring about competitive aggressiveness. Trusts make the process of working together and sharing information in groups work well. Other findings from this study also show that competitive aggressiveness has a positive impact on innovation

    Isu pemanasan global merupakan ancaman yang nyata dan sangat terasa di kawasan perkotaan, terutama di kawasan hunian. Temperatur lingkungan kediaman yang melebihi tinggi suhu bangunan lainnya, tingkat kenyamanan merupakan salah satu dampaknya. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari fenomena ‘Pulau Panas Perkotaan’, akibat lebih tingginya temperatur lingkungan dibanding dengan tingkat kenyamanan penghuni. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengukur seberapa puas dan nyaman penghuni hunian vertikal di Apartemen Kebagusan City Jakarta. Peneliti menerapkan metode dalam penelititian ini dengan cara membandingkan persepsi penghuni terhadap kenyamanan termal, dengan simulasi penghitungan kenyamanan termal. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan, dengan rata-rata temperatur udara berada pada kisaran 33°C pada siang hari, ditambah dengan pola aktivitas serta pola sirkulasi angin yang ada, penghuni masih merasakan kondisi sejuk meskipun dalam simulasi menunjukkan nilai hangat. Apartemen Kebagusan City menggunakan bebeberapa rekayasa bangunan seperti konfigurasi gedung, bahan dan warna, serta berbagai rekayasa lainnya untuk mengatur tingkat kenyamanan termal di kawasan permukima

    Model Matematika COVID-19 dengan Sumber Daya Pengobatan yang Terbatas

    Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2. Hingga Desember 2020, terdapat 617 ribu kasus terkonfirmasi positif COVID-19 dengan total 18 ribu kematian karena COVID-19 di Indonesia. Pada penelitian ini, kami menggunakan model kompartemen Susceptible-Exposed-Infected-Recovered (SEIR) untuk analisis dampak sumber daya pengobatan yang terbatas dan memprediksi dinamika penyebaran COVID-19 di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah penurunan angka rasio reproduksi dasar dan titik ekuilibrium menggunakan analisis sistem dinamik dalam bentuk persamaan diferensial non linier yang diperoleh dari model awal. Kemudian, kami menganalisis angka rasio reproduksi dasar dan titik ekuilibrium, serta memprediksi kondisi pandemi COVID-19 menggunakan kasus nyata di Indonesia sejak 2 Maret hingga 30 Nopember 2020. Dari hasil penelitian ini, diperoleh bahwa jika perubahan kasus terinfeksi  terhadap waktu  kurang dari 2640 kasus, maka angka rasio reproduksi dasar menjadi kurang dari nol dan nilai  semakin mendekati nol saat mulai memasuki bulan Maret 2021. Hal tersebut berarti, jika rata-rata kasus positif terkonfirmasi harian masih di bawah kapasitas maksimal sumber daya pengobatan, yaitu 2640 kasus, maka dari hasil analisis model diprediksikan bahwa penyakit akan mulai menghilang pada bulan Maret 2021. Sebaliknya, jika kasus positif terkonfirmasi harian di atas 2640 kasus, maka diperkirakan penyakit akan mulai menghilang pada Juni 2021

    Studi Komparasi Sistem Steel Frame Tube dengan Sistem Steel Braced Tube menggunakan X-Brace

    Sistem tabung merupakan sistem yang umum digunakan dalam struktur bangunan tinggi, seperti Sistem Steel Frame Tube (SFT). Akan tetapi karena fenomena shear lag, distribusi tegangan aksial pada kolom-kolom perimeter sudut menjadi lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kolom perimeter lainnya. Hal ini ditanggulangi dengan menggunakan Sistem Steel Braced Tube (SBT) yang dapat membuat perimeter gedung menjadi lebih kaku dengan menggunakan diagonal pada seluruh muka gedung. Studi ini meneliti respons elastik dan inelastik dari gedung 12 lantai menggunakan kedua sistem struktur tersebut dengan analisis respons spektrum dan riwayat waktu menggunakan rekaman percepatan gempa El-Centro 1940, Kobe 1995, dan Denpasar 1979. Berdasarkan hasil analisis respons spektrum, kekakuan pada Sistem SBT lebih tinggi sehingga peralihan lantai dan simpangan antar lantai pada sistem tersebut menjadi lebih kecil. Berdasarkan hasil analisis riwayat waktu, saat kondisi inelastik peralihan lantai dan simpangan antar lantai pada Sistem SFT juga bernilai lebih besar untuk ketiga rekaman percepatan gempa. Elemen breising pada Sistem SBT mengalami kelelehan terlebih dahulu dibandingkan elemen lain karena breising ditetapkan sebagai elemen fuse. Kedua sistem struktur memiliki tingkat kinerja Immediately Occupancy (IO). Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa selain mengurangi fenomena shear lag, Sistem SBT memiliki respons elastik dan inelastik yang lebih baik

    Framework for Facilities Management Services Procurement in Public Buildings in Abuja-Nigeria

    Deciding what to provide in-house and what to outsource is not always easy, because of the pros and cons of each approach. This study assessed the suitability of outsourcing and in-house routes for procurement of facilities management (FM) services in public buildings in order to develop a framework to assist FM practitioners in making decisions on procurement of FM services in Abuja. Mixed methods research methodology was adopted involving the administration of 122 structured questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with 10 International Facility Management Association (IFMA) members in Abuja-Nigeria. Findings show that the top three factors driving outsourcing of FM services delivery are cost reduction, improved performance standard and improved customer orientation and service. While, the top three factors driving in-house of FM services delivery are improved quality of services, improved performance standard and improved responsiveness and cycle times. This indicates that the framework to procure FM services includes provision of clear policy which should consist of a policy statement, methodology resource mobilisation, government policy regarding the maintenance of the facility mapping of the facility and a means of measuring performance of FM services providers. The developed framework provides a significant understanding that can support decision making on FM services in terms of whether the route to be adopted is either in-house or outsourcing

    Do Liquidity, Asset Quality, Firm Size, and Efficiency Affect Bank Profitability? Evidence from Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Nowadays modern economy cannot be thought without banks. The commercials banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) is expected to be a strong and highly competitive bank, which contribute to the growth and even distribution of sustainable regional economies. However, there are still 28 banks that have negative trend in 2019. The purpose of this research is to analyze whether the LDR, NPL, SIZE and BOPO have significant influence simultaneously and partially to ROA commercial banks listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The study followed a descriptive research design and used secondary data obtained from the company annual reports and partly from the commercial banks. There is one basic theory about signaling theory and previous research found some propositions: 1) LDR have significant effect to ROA, 2) NPL have significant effect to ROA, 3) SIZE have significant effect to ROA, 4) BOPO have significant effect to ROA. The implication of this research is expected to be used as consideration in overcoming the problem to improving bank health, especially on bank profitability

    The slums that occur in fishpond settlements are not only based on environmental conditions, but also based on people's perceptions about the slum standards themselves. Physically, fishing houses in coastal areas are larger than substandard materials, dense, coincide, make dirty, look more easy, settlements, fishermen, can be categorized as slums. The situation of this slum-looking settlement is the result of a very high increase in the flow of urbanization with the aim of survival and life in a place that needs more resources that can be used to sustain life. The method used for this study with the criteria for assessing fishermen settlements in the case study. The results of this study consist of factors that cause slums and slum free village criteria based on the conditions of fishermen settlements in the case study living in coastal fishermen settlements.     Analysis of Diesel Engine Components Durability on Fishing Vessel Fueled with Biodiesel (B30)

    The Indonesian government's policy of using biodiesel as an alternative fuel in the shipping industry is still an intensive discussion. Biodiesel as a substitute for diesel fuel has an impact on engine performance, lifetime and emission. The use of biodiesel fuel will increase the wear rate on metal components in diesel engines. From a series of tests carried out in accordance with Engine Manufacturer Association (EMA) standards, wearing on several engine components would be increase when the engine run using biodiesel palm oil (B30). The results showed that there was 19.8% aluminum content, 0.75% iron content, and chromium content in diesel engine lubricating oil with B30 biodiesel fuel higher than using diesel fuel. In addition, the clerance in the pisthon ring also increases and wear is seen on the journal bearing. However, the deposits formation in the diesel engine components made from palm oil biodiesel B30 is 5.43% increase than diesel fuel. From these results, it may be concluded that using of B30 palm oil biodiesel as fuel reduce durability of diesel engine standart

    Pembuatan paket tutorial batik ikat bertujuan berbagi ilmu dengan para pelajar SD untuk lebih mengenalkan keunikan dan keindahan batik ikat. Paket ini ditujukan kepada pelajar SD kelas 3-5 yaitu anak usia 9-11 tahun sebagai target utama, melihat dari kondisi School from home (SFH). Pelajar SD yang sangat aktif dengan berbagai kegiatan diluar rumah baik dari sekolah ataupun dari kegiatan ekstra diluar sekolah, saat ini harus tetap tinggal dirumah dan belajar dirumah karena adanya wabah atau pandemi Covid-19. Mengapa batik ikat dan bukan batik tulis, alasan utama adalah karena teknik batik ikat lebih mudah dibandingkan dengan batik tulis, batik ikat juga memiliki bahan yang sederhana, batik ikat juga mudah dikreasikan. Dengan adanya paket tutorial batik ikat, kami berharap dapat mengenalkan batik ikat lebih dini kepada para pelajar SD, dan bermanfaat dalam mengisi aktivitas mereka saat SFH. Paket tutorial ini berisi video tutorial cara membuat batik ikat, dan semua bahan yang dibutuhkan dalam membuat batik ikat. Pada paket juga akan dilengkapi dengan asesoris interior yaitu sarung bantal kursi, sehingga setelah sarung bantal kursi selesai di batik, pelajar dapat menata bantal tersebut pada salah satu ruang dirumah. Paket yang dibagikan akan dikemas dengan kemasan yang praktis dan handy.The making of traditional batik tutorial packages is intended to share knowledge with elementary students in order to enhance the batik uniqueness and beauty. The package is addressed to the 3-5 graders of 9-11 as a primary target, based on the condition of the school from home (SFH). An elementary school student whose very active with outdoor activities whether from school or from extra outside school, should stay and study at home because of an outbreak or a covid-19 pandemic. The main reason for choosing batik ikat is because the batik ikat technique is easier than the handwritten batik, the ikat batik also has a simple material, the ikat batik is also easy to create. With the batik ikat tutorial package, we hope to be able to introduce batik ikat early to elementary school students, and be useful in filling their activities during SFH. This tutorial package contains video tutorials on how to make batik ikat, and all the materials needed to make batik ikat. The package will also be equipped with interior accessories, it is a cushion cover, so that after the chair cushion cover is finished in batik, students can arrange the pillow in one of the rooms in the house. The packs will be packed with handy, practical packages.

    Analisis Hasil Perencanaan pada Pemodelan Stabilitas Timbunan dengan Program Bantu XSTABL, GEO5, GeoStudio-SLOPE/W, dan PLAXIS

    Stabilitas timbunan pada umumnya dapat dihitung dengan menggunakan metode keseimbangan batas berupa program bantu XSTABL, GEO5, GeoStudio-SLOPE/W dan metode elemen hingga berupa program bantu PLAXIS. Output utama dari program bantu tersebut adalah angka keamanan (SF), momen penahan, dan letak bidang longsor. Namun, masalah yang selalu timbul adalah adanya output yang berbeda untuk data input yang sama pada keempat program bantu tersebut. Dalam hal ini, para perencana masih belum mengetahui program bantu mana yang tepat untuk digunakan dalam menganalisis kondisi lapangan untuk perencanaan. Dari hasil penelitian ini, didapatkan dari analisis stabilitas timbunan untuk semua variasi ketinggian yang diletakkan di atas tanah dasar dengan ketebalan tanah lunak yang bervariasi yang belum mengalami pemampatan (tanpa dipasang PVD) yang dilakukan dengan XSTABL, GEO5, dan GeoStudio-SLOPE/W memberikan hasil SF yang sama; tetapi PLAXIS berbeda. Sedang kondisi yang telah mengalami pemampatan (dengan dipasang PVD) yang dilakukan dengan XSTABL, GEO5 adalah sama; tetapi GeoStudio-SLOPE/W dan PLAXIS berbeda
