Application of House of Risk (Hor) Models for Risk Mitigation of Procurement in The Balikpapan Samarinda Toll Road Project
The Balikpapan Samarinda Toll Road Project built 99 km has a relatively short implementation time of 3 years. The accuracy of project completion is closely related to the procurement of materials during the implementation period. Risk analysis based on ISO 31000: 2009 where the risk of delay in procurement of materials is included in the extreme category with a high level of probability and severe impact. Risk analysis is carried out qualitatively, that is, determining risk priorities by determining the likelihood of events and their effects on project performance. Material procurement delays still occur due to various factors that have not been mitigated in the planned risk analysis. This resulted in project performance not on schedule. The purpose of this study is to provide a proactive framework for managing material procurement risks. The method used is the House of Risk (HOR) from the literature study. The HOR method is very commonly used in supply chain risk management. The HOR method focuses on preventive actions determining the main risk agents and the priority of preventive actions. The advantages of this method are in the framework that can cover the whole process of risk management. Phase 1 of HOR begins with the identification of risk events and phase 2 of risk treatment. This framework allows management to select priority risk agents to be mitigated and prioritize proactive actions to reduce the impact of risk events. The results of the study are 14 risk events and 15 risk agents that can occur in the material procurement process. From the Paretto Diagram, 4 risk agents were selected, namely schedule changes became faster, bill payments required a long period of time, problems in supplier selection, and material fabrication time. Based on the analysis of preventive action 3 actions proposed in this study are coordinating with the finance department to monitor supplier bills, coordinate with production for proper procurement schedules, and evaluate suppliers
Numerical Investigation of Reinforced Concrete Beam Due to Shear Failure
This paper investigates the possibility of using a multi-surface plasticity model to predict shear failure in reinforced concrete beams. The analysis is carried out using the in-house software called 3D-NLFEA. The constitutive model for the concrete material is based on the plasticity-fracture model, which had previously developed to simulate the behavior of concrete cover spalling in reinforced concrete columns. To obtain the asymmetric shear failure pattern, random material properties imperfection for each meshed element is used. Two beams available in the literature are investigated and compared with the analysis results using 3D-NLFEA. From the comparisons, excellent agreement between the analysis and the test result was obtained. 3D-NLFEA can predict the peak load accurately. The peak load prediction only varies 2.19% for beam OA1 and 3.28 % for beam OA2, and it was lower than the test results. The failure crack patterns also show a typical diagonal crack extension from the support to the loading steel plate

Driver’s Visual Engagement in Urban Streetscape
Representation of visual engagement in urban street through the streetscape is an important in urban design research as a city framework. Urban street are composed of various classifications and attract more attention from townspeople. Visual engagement is an important component for understanding a city. Human's perception of the nature environment and build environment gives a difference feeling to the visual. The city formed by many urban street that forms it. However, the establishment of this street still does not pay attention to the interests about visual on the street system as a city frameworks, but only pay attention to the function of the street. Urban street have regulations related to speed limits that are affect the visual of the driver. The importance of visual engagement driver’s when through the street to understanding of the city. The methodology in this study uses a post-positivist paradigm with quantitative strategies. Data collection tactics using Likert scale questionnaires was given to drivers or people who through the street by car with intensity once a week and data analysis uses SPSS application with descriptive statistics to identify factors that the most affect. The results of this study are to identify the factors of the urban streetscape that the most affect to the drivers when through the street. The visual elements factor that include the mass of the building, building entrance, textures, colours, and materials was establish the enclosure space on the street corridor. from these results identified a new factors that affect to visual engagement drivers
Adopting Risk Based Maintenance Strategy of Export Gas Pipeline Using House of Risk: A Proposed Framework
42” SNP-BEM is the biggest buried gas export pipeline belong to PT XYZ and has been operated joinly with PT POMA for duration of 20 years. Until today, this pipe has survived very well from the worst potential failure or risk events such as rupture and leak since all strategic of maintenances are considered as sufficient facing the sources of risk agent, despite still different perceptions are presence among the operators in real application. Nevertheless, following the operation versus times, there is an increasing of potential external threat or risk agents due to the growth of housing, the overlapped operational permit of industrial of non-oil/gas, illegal road crossing which may cause the occurrence of risk events/failures. In 2016, there was a critical incident of the soil movement caused by the excessive load of coal’s stock pile nearby ROW and impacted to the pipe movement about 6 meters in horizontal and 2 meters in vertical and may lead to disastrous. Therefore, a more effective maintenance strategy is to be developed to reduce these risks. Combination of Fish Bone diagram (FBD) and House of Risk (HOR) is selected to identify the sources of risk and to develop more effective risk-based maintenance strategy. Based on the assessment, it is identified (twelve) 12 credible risk agents which contributing to pipeline failures/risk events and (eight) 8 proposed preventive actions to reduce the risk. These proposed actions shall be agreed by all operators as a reference for developing risk-based maintenance strategy
Numerical Study of Motion of a Cylinder Filled with Water on an Inclined Plane using Scilab
The velocity of the rolling motion is influenced by the shape of the object and its rotating axis. The cylinder motion on inclined plane has been investigated by number of research. However, the water filled cylinder need to be investigated further especially on the possibility moving sliding and rolling. Numerical study has been carried out on water filled cylinder modelling of frictionless sliding motion of point object, frictionless rolling motion, and rolling motion with friction on an inclined plane. By using the Euler method, data processing is carried out with the Scilab application. The resulting graph from running Scilab coding is a graph of v vs t and x vs t. We found the frictionless sliding motion produces the greatest velocity and distance because it is not influenced by friction and the object’s moment of inertia. Solid cylinder rolling with friction on an inclined plane produces the smallest velocity and distance due to the influence of friction and the moment of inertia of the object. These results indicate that a water filled cylinder can be considered a solid cylinder if ignoring all internal motion of water inside the cylinder
Jember Regency and tobacco plantations are two inseparable things. Tobacco has become a well-known export commodity in Jember. Jember Regency is one of the three regions in Indonesia that produce na-oogst tobacco. Na-oogst tobacco, which is the main ingredient for cigars manufacture, goes through a different drying process from other types of tobacco, so it requires different drying place, conditions, and treatments. Na-oogst tobacco is usually dried with the help of a drying tobacco barn or commonly known as gudang atag, so in areas that produce this type of tobacco, buildings like these are often found. Gudang atag, which has the main function as a place to dry tobacco, was built with materials that support its function. The purpose of this study is to discuss and provide a deeper understanding to the public regarding considerations in the selection of materials that form gudang atag, which include the advantages and disadvantages of each material that are being used. Materials that form gudang atag is the main focus of this paper because of its very significant role in the success of the drying process and the quality of the tobacco produced also its impact on human and environment
Studi Numerik Penambahan Pelat Pengaku Diagonal Pada Steel Plate Shear Wall (SPSW) dengan Adanya Variasi Opening
Steel Plate Shear Wall (SPSW) is an earthquake-resistant structural system. SPSW is applied to high rise buildings. The application of SPSW in high rise buildings allows for an opening for the architectural needs of the building, but the modeling of the opening can affect the performance of the structure. In this study, validation was carried out using the Abaqus aid program related to the shear force achievement parameters and the hysteresis curve of the experimental model SPSW (S4) which has a circular opening in the middle of the span. In the results of the validation of the SPSW (S4) model using Abaqus, the maximum shear force achieved is 710 kN at a drift of 4.11%, while the experimental Alavi conducted 740 in at a drift of 3.80%. The results of the maximum shear force between modeling using Abaqus and Experimental conducted by Alavi are not much different, with value 4.05%. Then the SPSW model was applied by opening the box in the middle of the stretch of a 10-story building. The SPSW (S4) model can be used as a model for application in a 10-story building, but the opening shape is changed to a rectangle like a window. From the modeling results using the SAP 2000 program, the profiles for HBE are WF 600.300 and VBE using KC 800.300, with a thickness of 4 mm infill plate and 12 mm stiffener plate. Control analysis of the model is also carried out such as mass participation control, structure vibration period control, dynamic shear force control of the structure, displacement control and cross section control that meet the requirements
