    Pembuatan sensor methanil yellow tipe kawat terlapis berbasis kitosan telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan dioktil sebakat (DOS) sebagai plasticizer. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan komposisi campuran membran optimum dan waktu perendaman optimum. Variasi komposisi campuran membran yang digunakan adalah kitosan:PVC:DOS = 3:34:62 (komposisi 1), 3:35:62 (komposisi 2), 4:34:62 (komposisi 3), 4:35:61 (komposisi 4), 5:33:62 (komposisi 5), 5:34:62 (komposisi 6), 5:35:60 (komposisi 7) dilarutkan dalam pelarut THF (1:3). Waktu perendaman membran dilakukan pada rentang waktu 10 - 80 menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komposisi campuran membran optimum yang pada komposisi membran (3) 4:34:62 pada waktu perendaman optimum pada 30 meni

    Genangan air pada musim penghujan mengakibatkan terjadinya kerusakan jalan dikarenakan dapat melonggarkan ikatan antara agregat dengan aspal. Genangan air juga membahayakan pengguna jalan raya, karena jalan menjadi lebih licin dan menyebabkan aquaplaning. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dibutuhkan aspal porus yang memiliki kekesatan permukaan (skid resistance), dapat mereduksi suara yang diakibatkan oleh gesekan antar roda dengan lapisan permukaaan aspal. Selain itu, kadar rongga lapisan aspal yang tinggi diharapkan dapat berfungsi sebagai lapisan drainase agar genangan air diatas permukaan dapat diminimalisir. Penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa variasi gradasi berdasarkan Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) Bina Marga 2018. Gradasi SMA memiliki presentase agregat kasar yang tinggi, diharapkan dapat digunakan untuk gradasi aspal porus. Hasil dari pengujian yang menghasilkan gradasi yang paling baik untuk aspal porus adalah gradasi 73% kasar, kadar aspal 5.05% dengan nilai stabilitas 835.667 kg, VIM 6.254%, VMA 17.638%, flow 3.440 mm, MQ 242.926 kg/mm, permeabilitas 0.211 cm/dt

    Masa pandemi covid-19 menyita banyak perhatian masyarakat dunia diawal tahun 2020. Kemunculan bermula di daratan cina yang menyebar luas ke seluruh negara. Semua kegiatan yang sudah direncanakan akan dilakukan di tahun 2020 terpaksa harus tertunda bahkan dibatalkan. Indonesia menjadi bagian dari negara yang terkena dampaknya. Banyak masyarakat terjangkit covid-19. Maka semakin banyak pula yang harus diisolasi ke rumah sakit khusus yang telah ditetapkan. Penderita suspect covid-19 di Indonesia didominasi mereka yang sudah berusia diatas 40 tahun tanpa memandang gender dengan penyakit bawaan yang sudah dialami sebelum adanya covid-19. Penyakit komorbid atau penyakit bawaan ini sangat mempengaruhi pasien yang terjangkit dengan kondisi yang cukup parah saat menjalani perawatan di rumah sakit. Pasien covid-19 ketika dipindahkan dari rumah menuju ke rumah sakit rujukan dibawa menggunakan mobil ambulance. Jika mengikuti protokol kesehatan, para tenaga medis harus menggunakan pakaian hazmat (hazardous materials). Pakaian ini adalah perlengkapan perlindungan yang terdiri dari bahan anti tembus dan digunakan untuk proteksi terhadap material berbahaya. Meskipun dengan peraturan wajib menggunakan pakaian tersebut, masih banyak tenaga medis yang masih bisa terjangkit covid-19 dan menyebabkan meninggal dunia. Permasalahan tersebut menciptakan gagasan berupa desain Cover Bankart dan Box Negative pressure. Metode dalam penelitian perancangan ini adalah metode Pahl & Beitz (1996). Kedepannya dengan alat ini akan lebih membantu kinerja tenaga medis dalam melaksanakan penjemputan pasien covid-19 untuk dibawa ke rumah sakit karena pasien akan diletakkan diatas Bankart ambulance yang tertutup cover. Cover Bankart berkondisi Negative pressure sehingga meminimalisir udara dari dalam keluar dan memberikan rasa lebih aman kepada tenaga medis yang bertugas menjemput pasien covid-19

    This research explored the implementation of concept of Surakarta ecocultural city platform in the era of Pandemic Covid-19 in 2 case study areas of Balekambang Park as the Natural and Heritage Park and Jayengan Jewelry Kampung (JKP) as Heritage Creative Industry-based Kampung Tourism. Eco city is basically the concept to create new urban development to be more ecologically, liveable and Sustainable, while the cultural city refers to the city, which focusing on cultural and performance for branding the city.  Ecocultural city is mainly related to connectivity among people, place and culture and this concept is mostly applicated in the tourism world, where to maintain this sustainably, this has to address people, place and its cultural relationship with biophysical aspects. Therefore, in the era of disruption of COVID-19, the ecocultural based of tourist destination areas are highly affected due to the loss of tourists visiting the areas.     Study of Reaction Conditions for the Synthesis of Methyl Oleic from Used Cooking Oil

    Abstrak Penelitian tentang studi kondisi reaksi sintesis metil oleat dari minyak jelantah telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menurunkan kadar asam lemak bebas (ALB) minyak jelantah dengan menggunakan adsorben arang aktif biji alpukat; (2) menentukan kondisi optimum reaksi sintesis metil oleat dari minyak jelantah; (3) menentukan kualitas metil oleat; (4) mengkarakterisasi metil oleat dengan FTIR. Metil oleat diperoleh melalui dua tahap, yaitu tahap pemurnian dan sintesis. Pada tahap pemurnian, 150 mL minyak jelantah diadsorpsi dengan (2, 4, 6, 8, dan 10) g arang aktif biji alpukat selama 2 jam pada suhu 70oC. Hasil pemurnian menunjukkan bahwa arang aktif biji alpukat dapat menurunkan kadar ALB minyak jelantah sebesar 93,79% (b/b). Pada tahap sintesis, metil oleat disintesis dengan menggunakan perbandingan mol (triolein : metanol) (1 : 3), (1 : 6), dan (1 : 9), serta konsentrasi NaOH (1, 8, dan 16) % (b/b) dari berat minyak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi optimum reaksi sintesis metil oleat dari minyak jelantah dengan rendemen tertinggi (84,32% b/b) adalah rasio mol (triolein : metanol) (1 : 9) dengan konsentrasi NaOH 1% (b/b). Kualitas metil oleat yang dihasilkan memenuhi syarat sebagai biodiesel menurut SNI 04-7182-2015 dengan nilai bilangan iodin 4,44 g I2/sampel, angka penyabunan 114,44 mg KOH/g sampel, angka setana 82,96, kadar air 0,03% (b/b), dan bilangan asam 0,71 mg KOH/g sampel. Hasil karakterisasi metil oleat dengan FTIR menunjukkan bahwa metil oleat memiliki tipe serapan gugus fungsi yang khas dari senyawa ester asam lemak tak jenuh.Abstract Research on the study of the reaction conditions for the synthesis of methyl oleic from used cooking oil has been carried out. This study aims to: (1) reduce levels of free fatty acids (FFA) used cooking oil using activated charcoal adsorbent avocado seed; (2) determining the optimum conditions for the synthesis of methyl oleic from used cooking oil; (3) determining the quality of methyl oleic; (4) characterized methyl oleic by FTIR. Methyl oleic was obtained in two stages, namely the purification and synthesis stages. In the purification stage, 150 mL of used cooking oil was adsorbed with (2, 4, 6, 8, and 10) g of avocado seed activated charcoal for 2 hours at 70oC. The purification results showed that the avocado seed activated charcoal could reduce the FFA content of used cooking oil by 93.79% (w/w). In the synthesis stage, methyl oleic was synthesized using the mol ratio (triolein : methanol) (1 : 3), (1 : 6), and (1 : 9), as well as the concentration of NaOH (1, 8, and 16)% (w/w) by weight of oil. The results showed that the optimum condition for the synthesis of methyl oleic from used cooking oil with the highest yield (84.32% w/w) was the mol ratio (triolein : methanol) (1 : 9) with a concentration of NaOH 1% (w/w). The quality of the resulting methyl oleic meets the requirements as biodiesel according to INS 04-7182-2015 with an iodine number value of 4.44 g I2/sample, saponification number of 114.44 mg KOH/g sample, cetane number of 82.96, water content of 0.03% (w/w), and the acid number of 0.71 mg KOH/g sample. The results of characterization of methyl oleic by FTIR showed that methyl oleic had a typical functional group absorption type of unsaturated fatty acid esters

    Improving the Cultural Competency of Midwives on Maternal and Child’s Health Services in Sa'dan North Toraja

    Maternal and neonatal deaths, and delivery’s coverage at healthcare still be problems in North Toraja. Culture was one of factors that influence unsafe delivery. It’s important for midwives to understand culture in community. The objectives of this study were to improve midwives’ cultural competency and to minimalize cultural barriers. Cultural competency had been trained to 19 midwives in Sa’dan North Toraja. Training contained material of the culture of pregnancy and childbirth. Through roleplay regarding cultural problems faced by midwives in community and how they learned from each other to find solutions to cultural barriers in their duties. Roleplay’s themes had been founded together contains about how to: (1) socialization to family member of traditional midwife (to 'mappakianak) that not allowed to help delivery; (2) convincing woman to deliver at healthcare; (3) minimize the gap between midwives and community; (4) convincing delivery decision making in extended family; (5) resolve problem of cultural role of mother in family, by involving, discussion and collaboration with parents, family members, and respectable community leaders. It concluded that improving cultural competency could minimalize cultural barriers in community. Communication between midwives and communities were the key of improvement maternal and child’s health services

    Consumable Material Spare Part Management Control in Electricity Transmission System

    Overstock spare part in the Electric Power Transmission System will affect the inefficiency in the asset management of the company. While the spare part stockouts in the company will disrupt the maintenance process of the electric transmission system, which then lead to power outages. Overstock spare parts are caused by several factors, such as forecasting errors in material requirements, intermittent requests, so it is difficult to determine the optimal order quantity. On the other hand, the unavailability of spare parts will affect the reliability of the electrical energy transmission system, which has the potential in causing a massive power outage. Monte Carlo simulations help to show the more concrete picture of the spare parts inventory condition using a periodic review (R, S) system approach. Divination of the combination of S and R parameters is very influential on the success of spare part control. Spare part classification is used for understanding the demand characteristics and the level of criticism. Moreover, the analysis of simulation results will show the information on supply fulfilment strategies to overcome the problems of either spare parts availability or spare parts overstock

    Impact Analysis of Trim Tab Inclination Angles Variation to Propulsion Power Requirement of 6 Meter’s Speed Boat

    Determining the ship's propulsion power requirements is one of the most crucial things in ship design which is related to the ship's resistance. One of the causes of the high value of a ship's resistance is excessive trim of the ship. Therefore it needs a mechanism to overcome this, it can be by applying trim tabs. The trim tab is a small surface mounted on the ship's transom that can be adjusted according to the conditions of the ship. By adjusting the angle of the trim tab to be larger, it can increase the lift force and torque moment at the stern of the ship which can reduce the trim of the ship. Based on the boat’s characteristics, referring to the guide from Bennet Marine, the appropriate trim tab’s geometry for this boat is a trim tab with a span width of 18” (46 cm) and a chord length of 9” (23 cm). After selecting the trim tab geometry, then analyzing the resistance and trim of the ship using the CFD method. Through CFD simulation, trim tab with an angle of 15⁰ can reduce the value of the ship's resistance to 17.25% and for the trim can be reduced to 46.72%. Then after the ship's propulsion power requirements calculation, it is shown that the trim tab with an angle of 15⁰, a reduction of 11.56% is obtained from 78.854 kW to 69.741 kW

    Enhancing Savonius Turbine Self-starting Capability by Installing a Circular Cylinder in Front of Returning Turbine Blade

    The effect of installing a circular cylinder in front of the returning turbine blade in enhancing the self-starting capability of the Savonius wind turbine has been studied experimentally by measuring the static torque of the turbine at the angular positions of the blades. The circular cylinder with a diameter relative to the blade diameter d/D = 0.5 is installed at a distance corresponding to the blade diameter in front of the returning turbine blade which is varied by 1.2 ≤ S/D ≤ 2.6. The experiments were carried out for Reynolds number (Re) = 74,000, 136,000, and 175,000. The results showed that the presence of a circular cylinder installed in front of the returning turbine blade at a distance of 1.4 ≤ S/D ≤ 1.8 was able to achieve the self-starting capability of the Savonius wind turbine as indicated by the positive values of the turbine static torque coefficient at all blade angular positions. The highest performance of the Savonius turbine self-starting capability is obtained at the circular cylinder position S/D = 1.6 for the Reynolds number (Re) = 136,000, and 175,000
