The data was analysed by using SWOT analysis. The results showed that business opportunity is still open and only there were few business competitors. Although the business opportunity is still open but the raw materials necessary to build that continues to exist and not be interruptedto facilitate the production of palm leaf roof. Roof of palm leaves businessmarketing opportunities still exist, but must have a strategy, although there is a chance the craftsman must remain priority order management and product quality still remains an alternative option after the metal roof price is quite expensive compared to the roof of palm leaves. Business opportunities palm leaves roof still promising but it still need efforts to exist and required product improvement, creativity, quality, and maintenance of raw material production area
ANALISIS PERUBAHAN TUTUPAN LAHAN AREAL KONSESSI TAMBANG PT KALTIM PRIMA COAL
One way of knowing the land coverage change is through Landsat TM imagery analysis from two periods of running time. It takes at least 2 coverage of the image data to get land cover changes. Mine concession area of PT Kaltim Prima Coal is a product of the area functional transfer of formely the Forest Cultivation Areas (KBK) ex IUPHHK PT Porodisa Ltd. into Other Areas Use (APL) of PT Kaltim Prima Coal mine concession. In the span of two concession, it was necessary to know whether there are changes in land cover during the transition period (the period of 10 years). It can only be known through the analysis of land use change using Landsat TM in 2002 and 1012. The tendency of quality of land cover change that is known through the analysis of these land cover changes and the significance of cover change, are based on information of how the historical of land cover change occurred

Indonesia is a country with the second largest palnt biodiversity in the world, where in the biodiversity, the potential stored medicinal palnts that have not been explored to the maximum. The potential is very large to ensure the health and welfare of the people if well utilized. In addition to the wealth of plant diversity, Indonesia is also rich in ethnic and cultural diversity. Central Bereau of Statistics (BPS) said in Indonesiahas 1,128 tribes scattered across the country. Each tribe has a different repertoire, and at any rate, there is a wealth of diverse indigenous communities, including the use of herbs for traditional medicine. It needs to be done in connection with exploration and inventory of medicinal palnts and their utilization in the community based on local wisdom. Research to obtain data fitogeografi, agro-climate, utilization based on local wisdom, phytochemicals, and socio-economic of medicinal plants will be very important in building a database that can be used as an important information in the process of domestication of medicinal plants to increase productivity in terms of both quality and quantity, as well as pilot plant based drugs for independence. Thus, the saintifikasi herbs can be developed at the same time throughout the health care facility.East Kalimantan is one of the provinces that have the richness and diversity of plants, as well as ethnic/tribes spread over 13 districts. One of the tribes that Agabag Dayak Tribe, who live and occupy the area and surrounding counties Nunukan. This research was conducted with the Snowball Sampling especially in determining the informant/battara. STUDI KARAKTERISTIK TANAH HUTAN BAKAU DI AREAL LAHAN BASAH KOTA BONTANG
A study that aimed to identify characteristics of mangrove forest soil and their inter-relationships, and to know status and limiting factor of the soil fertility, was conducted at wetland area around Badak NGL Company, Bontang City, Province of East Kalimantan. Results of the study showed that there was 2 main great groups of soil, tropofluvents and tropopsamments. Great group tropfluvents at Zone I and II of mangrove forest area is characterized by fibric, silty loam until loam texture, no until slightly clay and until moderately plastic consistency, with soil colour varied in black, brownish black, very dark brown, brown until brownish grey. At while great group tropopsamments which located at pulau Siaca (SCK) is characterized by sand and sandy texture, no clay and no plastic consistency with soilcolour was light grey dominantly. Salinity of soil was positively related to content of sulphate (r = 0.55), while pH H2O was negatively related to soluble sulphate (r=0.62). Soil cation exchange capacity (CEC) was also negatively related to exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) (r=0.93). Hight content of soil sulphate was found at location of 25 Ha-mangrove forest, Sekambing Baltim and Sekambing Muara. Hight Sodium Absorption Ratio (SAR) was found at Sekangat and Sekambing Muara. Most of observation areas indicated hight to very hight status of soil fertility, except location of 25 ha-mangrove forest (L25 M and L 25 H) that indivated was low soil status and pulau Siaca (SCK) was moderately soil status. These low to moderately soil fertility status was determined by very low Phosphore, as main soil limiting factor
