Studi Komparasi Hasil Belajar Biologi dengan Pembelajaran INSTAD (Inquiry-STAD) dan Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing (Guided Inquiry) pada Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri Gondangrejo Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013
This research aimed to find out the effect of inquiry-STAD (InSTAD) learning compared with that of the guided inquiry on the biology learning achievement of the X graders of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo in the school year of 2012/2013.This study was a quasi-experiment research. The research design was Post-Test only with Nonequivalent Group using experiment 1 class (InSTAD strategy) and experiment 2 (guided inquiry strategy application). The population of research was all X graders of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo in the school year of 2012/2013. The sampling technique used was cluster sampling and two classes were taken as experiment 1 and experiment 2 classes. Techniques of collecting data used were multiple-choice test, observation sheet, and school document. The hypothesis testing was done using t-test. The conclusion of this research were have not differences result between InSTAD and Guided Inquiry learning toward student’s cognitive achievement in studying biology of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo and have differences result between InSTAD and Guided Inquiry learning toward student’s afective and psycomotor achievement in studying biology of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo. With this research is expected to have a discourse teachers and new knowledge and be able to apply this learning to improve science process skills in students so that the nature of biology can be realized students working scientifically. The Aplication of Learning Cycle Model to Improve Science Process Skill of Class X-2 Student of SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta in Academic Year 2010/2011
The purpose of this research is to improve science process skill of class X-2 student of SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta 2010/2011 academic matter on subject matter Ecosystem and Environment by appliying Learning Cycle model. This research refers to The Classroom Action Research with subject were 34 students from class X-2 of SMA negeri 3 Surakarta 2010/2022 academic year. The sources of data consist of information from teacher and student, places and events that happened during teaching and learning process, and also some documents. The data of research is collected by using observation sheet, test, questionnaire, interview, and documents. The data is analyzed in qualitative descriptive method. The validity of data is verified through triangulation technique of data collecting method. The result of this research shows that there has been increment percentage of the questionnaire and observation result in every aspect which includes involvement, team work, and responsibility aspects. The result of this research shows that there has been increment percentage of science prosess skill aspect mastery level from 57,03% on presequence become 74,85% on first sequence and 79,89% on second sequence. If it considerate from science process skill indicator, it has been increament percentage of science process skill indicator mastery level too from 56,59% on presequence become 74,08% on first sequence, and 79,88% on the second sequence. The reflection of the first sequence shows that students having low of responsibility in achieving the learning goal, so the researcher gave further treatment in sequence II. It can be concluded from the research that Learning Cycle application can improve science process skill of class X-2 student of SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta 2010/2011 academic year. The Implementation of Group Investigation Cooperative Learning to Improve Students Affective Ability of VIIA Class SMP Negeri 16 Surakarta Class Year 2010/2011
The purpose of the research is to increase students affective ability of class VII A SMP Negeri 16 Surakarta through the implementation of Cooperative Learning by Group Investigation method on Environmental pollution material. This research is a Classroom Action Research with two cycles of action. Each cycle consisting of four phases which is planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Observational data obtained from the questionaire, observation, and interview. Subjects were students of class VII A SMP Negeri 16 Surakarta. Data validation is use triangulation methods. Technical analysis of data is technical descriptive. The result of this research showed that averagely assesses percentage each indicator of students affective responses questionnaire on pre cycle is 66,39 %, first cycle is 76,95 % and second cycle is 84,01 % (worked up 7,06 %). Meanwhile on a percentage point each indicator which is gotten from observation result students affective responses for pre cycle is 48,52%, first cycle is 72,22 % and second cycle is 82,35 % (worked up 10,13% ). The students interview result are 97,22% students interested in implementation on Group Investigation method, 80,56% students asking question, 83,33% students respond the idea from another student, and 83,33% students find out a problem solving. The result showed that Cooperative Learning by Group Investigation could increase students affective ability of class VII A SMP Negeri 16 Surakarta class year 2010/2011 in Biological learning. Pengaruh Penerapan PQ4R Terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Mojolaban Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013
- The aim of this research is to know the influence of PQ4R strategy toward biology learning achievement of X degree students at SMA Negeri 1 Mojolaban in 2012/ 2013 academic year. This research was quasi experiment research which used posttest only Nonequivalent control group design. This research applyed PQ4R strategy in experimental group and deduktif approach with discussion, classical course and question-answer method in control group. Population’s research is the entire class X at SMA Negeri 1 Mojolaban in academic year 2012/2013. Sampling techniques used cluster sampling. Cluster result has chosen X5 as experiment group and X7 as control group. Data was collected using multiple choice test, observation sheet, and document. The data were analyzed by t-test. This research concluded that application of PQ4R strategy has taken good effect toward student’s achievement cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domain in learning biology of SMA Negeri 1 Mojolaban. Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan Pendekatan Sains Teknologi Masyarakat untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran Biologi Siswa Kelas XI.IPA 5 SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan Pendekatan Sains Teknologi Masyarakat untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran Biologi Siswa Kelas XI.IPA 5 SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013
The purpose of this research was to improve quality of biology learning considered by teacher’s performance, utility of facilities in the classroom, classroom climate, student’s scientific attitude, and student motivation to learn in class XI.IPA 5 SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar academic year 2012/2013. This research was a Classroom Action Research which performed in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of 4 phases; planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data was collected by questionnaire, observation, and interview. Data validation was used triangulation of methods and triangulation of observers. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive technique. Result of the research showed that according triangulation the average percentage for teacher’s performance in pre cycle (63.96%), cycle I (90.21%), cycle II (95.83%) and cycle III (100%); classroom climate pre cycle (70.22%), cycle I (86.43%), cycle II (83.30%) and cycle III (84.65%); student’s scientific attitude pre cycle (69.31%), cycle I (76.20%), cycle II (77.61%) and cycle III (83.45%); and student motivation to learn pre cycle (67.01%), cycle I (70.33%), cycle II (73.97%) and cycle III (77.69%); utility of learning facilities in the classroom have been optimally. The results showed that the average percentage quality of biology learning aspect such as pre cycle (67.63%), cycle I (80.79%), cycle II (82.68%) and cycle III (86.45%). The quality of biology learning was increase 18.82% from pre cycle to cycle III. Cycles stopped in cycle III because the research target was achieved. The conclusion describes that the implementation of problem based learning with science technology society approach was able to improve the quality of biology learning considered by teacher’s performance, utility of facilities in the classroom, classroom climate, student’s scientific attitude, and student motivation to learn in class XI.IPA 5 at SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar in academic year 2012/2013. Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) disertai Artikel Ilmiah untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa Kelas X3 SMAN 2 Boyolali Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013
This study was aimed to improve creative thinking ability student in X3 class of SMAN 2 Boyolali through the implementation of problem based learning model accompanied by scientific articles. This research was a classroom action research that divided into several cycles, each cycle includes four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is the students of X3 class at SMAN 2 Boyolali in academic year of 2012/2013. Data is obtained through the test (esay) and non-test (observation and documentation). Data is analyzed with descriptive analytical techniques and validated by triangulation techniques. The results show that students creative thinking ability is increased in Pre-cycle, Cycle I, Cycle II and Cycle III. There are four aspect in creative thinking ability. The aspect are fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. The improvement in fluency aspect increase from 54,55% to 87,27%. Flexibility aspect increase from 37,05% to 84,09%. Originality aspect increase from 48,86% to 86,82%. Elaboration aspect increase from 56,25% to 97,27%. Based on the results of this study the researcher draws a conclusion that the implementation of problem based learning model accompanied by scientifiec articles can improve creative thinking ability student in X3 class at SMAN 2 Boyolali. Peningkatan Keterampilan Proses Sains Melalui Kegiatan Laboratorium Disertai Strategi Catatan Terbimbing (Guided Note Taking) Pada Siswa Kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2010/2011
The purposes of this research is to improve the science process skills through applying laboratory activity with guided note taking to the students of VIII E class at SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta, academic year 2010/2011. This research refers to The Classroom Action Research which is conducted in 2 cycles that consist of planning, action, observing, and reflecting. The subject of this research is 36 students of VIII E class at SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta, academic year 2010/2011. The sources of the data consist of information from teachers and students, places and events that happened during the process of teaching and learning, and also some documents/files. The data of this research is collected by using observation sheet, questionnaire, interview, and documentations. The data is analyzed in qualitative descriptive method. The validity of data is tested through method and observer triangulation. The result of this research shows that has done in two cyrcles can be concluded that the application of laboratory activity with guided note taking can improve the science process skills in observe, clasificate, predict, measure, conclude, and communicate skills of the student of VIII E class at SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta, academic year 2010/2011. The Implementation of Think Talk Write Learning Strategy to Improve Student’s Learn Activities in Biology Learning Class X-1 SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta of 2009/2010 Academic Year
The purpose of the research to improve student learning activities in teaching and learnig activities with the implementation of Biology learning strategy Think Talk Write on Environmental Pollution material. This research is a classroom action research. The experiment was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of the planning, observation, evaluation, analysis, and reflection. Subjects were students of class XI SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta academic year 2009/2010. Source of data derived from teacher and student information, observation, and documentation. Techniques and tools of data collection is a questionnaire, observation, and interviews. Validate data using triangulation techniques of data sources. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative analysis. Research procedure is a spiral model of inter-related. The results showed that the application of learning strategies can improve student activities in biology learning in class X-1 SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta 2009/2010 academic year. Improved student learning activities can be viewed through a questionnaire and observation sheet. The average percentage based on observation of student activity sheets for 41.90% of pre cycle, a cycle of 73.07% and 87.23% for cycle 2.Questionnaire pre-cycle calculation results indicate student activity at 70.49%, a cycle of 73.83%, and the second cycle result indicate that student activity of 77.96%. Identification Of Fungy Of Sweet Potato (Ipomoea Batatas) Tapai As Biology Learning Resources and It’s Effect toward Scientific Communication Skill Of The Xth Grade Student
The objectives of this research are (1) to identify kinds of fungi that can be found in sweet potato tapai, (2) to produce biology learning resources based on the research result of identification of fungi of sweet potato tapai (3) to find out the effect of the utilization of the research result based on identification of fungi of sweet potato tapai as a learning resources toward scientific communication skill of the Xth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 BoyolaliThis is a quasi - experimental research that use the true control group design (postest only). The independent variable in this research is biology learning resources whereas the dependent variable is scientific communication skill. The population of this research is entire student of the Xth grade of SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali Academic Year 2011/2012. The sample of this research consisted of two classes, control and experiment class. X2 class as a control group and X3 class as a experiment group. The sampling method using Cluster Random Sampling. The data collecting technique by using observation method. The test of the hypothesis in this research is using T – test method. From the research, it can be concluded (1) there are two kind of fungy that can be found in sweet potato tapai, i.e Aspergillus sp and Saccharomyces sp. Both of them have different characteristic. (2) An outline can be produced as biology learning resources based on the research result of identification of fungi of sweet potato tapai. The Relationship Between Aspects of Biology Learning Motivation with the Cognitive Learning Achievement of Biology at SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar in Class Year of 2011/2012
This research is aimed to know causal relationship between knowledge,accomplishment, stimulation, integrated regulation, identified regulation, introjected regulation, and external regulation with cognitive learning achievement of biology at SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar in academic year 2011/2012 simultaneously. This was a correlational research and conducted upon high school student at SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar in academic year of 2011/2012. The sample was taken among 115 samples of student using stratified random sampling technique. Documentation technique was used to uncover student’s cognitive learning achievement, while aspects of motivation was measured by using questionnaire. The obtained data was analysed using multiple regression analysis in SPSS 16. The result showed that there was a negative correlation betweenaccomplishment and introjected regulation with cognitive learning achievement of biology at SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar in academic year 2011/2012 simultaneously. But the others such as knowledge, stimulation, integrated regulation, identified regulation, and external regulation showed no correlation with cognitive learning achievement biology of the students of SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar in academic year 2011/2012 simultaneously.
