    Peran Komite Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan pada Jenjang SMP di Kabupaten Konawe

    This study investigated the role of School Committee in improving the quality of education at junior high school level in Konawe Regency. It was proposed to uncover what the School Committee roles has done in improving senior high school quality in Konawe Regency. It was expected to improve the quality of education by endorsing the School Committee roles. This study used quantitative approach by survey method on the characteristics, actions, and opinions from a group of respondents as representative of the population. The information associated with the roles committee played in improving the quality of education in Konawe Regency. Data collection was conducted using list of questionnaire. There were 20 SMPs chosen as subject of study. The results showed that the roles the School Committee had played were at a good category. It had already played its role as Consideration Board in deciding school programs, determining to be involved in defining the teaching learning process in class, defining the curriculum, allocating the schools’ program budget as well involving in determining extension learning program. However, the role of committee as consideration board still needs to be maximized

    Bentuk-Bentuk Partisipasi Orang Tua Anak Usia Dini dalam Program PAUD di Kabupaten Konawe

    This study aims to analyze the forms of early childhood parents’ participation on education of early childhood program in Konawe regency. The forms of participation were analyzed with the approach of the participation concept, i.e. the participation of the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. This study used a qualitative research method, which aims to analyze the phenomena, events, social activities, thinking people individually or in groups on the participation of parent’s early childhood. Based on the research objectives, so obtained the results of research, that the percentage participation rate of early childhood parents at the planning stage, the implementation stage, and the stage of monitoring and evaluations showed that 63 respondents (13%) high participated, 163 respondents (35%) medium participated, and 244 respondents (52%) low participated. Those mean that overall early childhood parents had fairly low levels of education of early childhood program. These findings did not mean that they did not have role at all in development of education of early childhood program. Only, on average, their participation in the three forms of participation described above was still quite low

    Using Jeopardy Strategy to Improve The First Semester Students’ Vocabulary at Pikih Program of UIN Alauddin Makassar 2014/2015

    The objective of this research was to find out whether or not the use of Jeopardy Strategy can improve the students` vocabulary at the first semester of PIKIH Program of UIN Alauddin Makassar 2014/2015. This research employed quasi experimental method with two groups pre-test and post-test design. There were two variables; they were independent variable (the use of Jeopardy Strategy in teaching vocabulary) and dependent variable (the students` vocabulary). The population of this research was the students of PIKIH Program of UIN Alauddin Makassar 2014/2015 which consisted of 1670 students of 67 groups. The sample of the research consisted of two groups by using purposive sampling technique. The researcher took the forty-two group as experimental class and the thirty-nine group as control class. The instrument of this research was a written vocabulary test used in pre-test and post-test. The result of the data indicated that there was a significant difference between students’ post-test in experimental class and controlled class. The mean score of post-test (74.29) in experimental class was greater than the mean score of post-test (59.96) in controlled class. From t-test, the researcher found that the value of t-test (4.44) was greater than t-table (2.00) at the level of significance 0.05 with degree of freedom (df) = 46. Based on the finding and discussion of the research, the researcher drew a conclusion that the use of Jeopardy Strategy can improve the students` vocabulary at the first semester of PIKIH Program of UIN Alauddin Makassar 2014/2015

    Cerpen “Perempuan Pala” Karya Azhari: Pendekatan Mimetik

    The purpose of this research is to reveal the types of social aspects in the short story "Perempua Pala" by Azhari and to reveal the phenomena that exist in the short story "Perempuan Pala" by Azhari which is a reflection of social phenomena in the real world toward Acehnese society when the Dutch colonized and new regime reign. This study used a qualitative approach and uses the concept of character and characterization as well as the mimetic theory to reveal phenomena that exist in the story. Data collection techniques used in this research is documentation, i.e. library documentation. With the steps; read the text carefully, symbolized the data, and recorded the data that related to the focus of research. The data source of this research is short story "Perempuan Pala" by Azhari published by AKY Press in 2004. In line with the purpose of research, the results of this research is revealed, that there are four types of social aspects in the short story "Perempuan Pala" by Azhari, as follows: (1) the suffering of Acehnese society in the Dutch colonial era, (2) Conflict of Acehnese society, (3) Independence of Acehnese society, and (4) The peace of Acehnese society. Phenomena that occurred in the short story "Perempuan Pala" by Azhari is a reflection of a real phenomenon that occurs in Acehnese society that stricken a long conflict from Dutch colonial era until the new regime reign. Mala wishes a peace created on Aceh Earth, violence and oppression come to the end so that Acehnese society can feel the peace and freedom, which in the end, the men came down from the mountain. Government of the regime also wanted to create peace in Aceh. With the efforts made by the government through a persuasive approach to the Acehnese and negotiations were conducted with high-ranking of GAM, eventually the peace created on Aceh Earth

    The purpose of this study was to reveal the literary in the novel I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai and Cristina Lamb, from the viewpoint of feminism which includes; The position of women, Pro-feminism and Cons of feminism in the novel I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai and Cristina Lamb. This study is a qualitative study using descriptive method, since the data in this study in the form of words, and sentences instead of the numbers as a result of statistical calculations. In addition, research reports will contain excerpts of data to provide an overview description of the report. Data were derived from the text of the novel, that is, the quote in the form of words, phrases, sentences, sentence quote form narrative or dialogue. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that awareness of equality which is owned by men and women, both within the family and community environment. In the novel I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai and Christina Lamb showed that aura feminist actualized in the form of a daughter who struggle to survive even though three bullets had claimed smile and fighting for and campaigning for the right to education for girls

    Pemarkah Kohesi Leksikal dan Kohesi Gramatikal: Analisis pada Paragraf dalam Skripsi Mahasiswa Pend. Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia

    The purpose of the study is to analyze the lexical and grammatical cohesion markers of paragraphs of in the students’ thesis introduction chapter. It was a qualitative descriptive study. The sources of data were the students’ theses of Indonesian Literature and Language Education Study Program in the yeasr 2010 and the data are all cohesion markers found in the paragraph of the students’ thesis introduction chapter. There are 30 theses consisting of 306 paragraphs. Sorting, reading, and noting are the techniques used in this research. The analysis showed that from 306 paragraphs, there are 243 lexical cohesion markers and 340 grammatical cohesion markers. Lexical cohesion markers were repetition (156), synonym (17), antonym (25), hyponym (6), correlation (19), and equivalence (18). On the other hand, grammatical cohesion markers consist of reference (52), substitution (39), ellipsis (11), conjunction (175), and pronoun (63)

    The objective of this research was to investigate the error of lexical semantic found in the translation of Indonesian text into English text done by the English Education Program students Lakidende University, Southeast Sulawesi in 2013. It was a qualitative research with a content analysis method. The data were collected using written translation test. Based on the data analysis and interpretation, the semantic error of lexis consisted of: 1) Confusion of sense relation (General term for specific one, Specific term for general one, Co-hyponym, Near-synonym) and 2) Collocation. The sources of errors were 1) Interlanguage transfer, 2) Intralanguage influence, and 3) communication strategy. There were two impacts the errors, 1) local impact and 2) global impact. As suggestion, theory and practice of translation are needed to produce quality translation

    The purpose of this study were to reveal kinds of setting form in the short story “Sepotong Tangan” by Ratih Kumala and whether they influence the main (lelaki tua) in the short story ‘Sepotong Tangan” by Ratih Kumala? This study used a qualitative approach to the intrinsic elements of literary works, by utilizing the concept of the main character and setting to reveal and decipher focus of research in the short stories. Data collection techniques used in this study was a literature review technique. The research data is a word, phrase, sentence, and dialogue, which is associated with a research focus in the short story “Sepotong Tangan” by Ratih Kumala published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama, 2008. The procedures used in data collection were as follows; read the short story “Sepotong Tangan” by Ratih Kumala, underlining phrases, sentences, paragraphs, and the dialogue relating to the focus of research, quoting, and identifying and selecting and classifying the data according to its category of research. Analysis technic was performed as follows; classifying kind of setting form, and its influence on the main character, define and describe, interpret, and make conclusions. In line with the purpose of research, the results of this study revealed that the study of the short story “Sepotong Tangan” by Ratih Kumala show, setting influenced the development of the main character of (lelaki tua). The Dominant settings in this story is physical settings, such as setting the time and place. Because of the dominance of the settings, it can also be called a typical setting for the protrusion of certain setting a story. There is an only spiritual setting as it relates to the procedures or customs handling the dead bodies in Indonesia, whereas a neutral setting cannot be found in this story

    The goal of this study is expressing teacher’s speech acts in academic interaction at Indonesian class in Wisma Bahasa Yogyakarta. This study used qualitative approach in pragmatics aspect. The data collection that used in this study is nonparticipative observation with record and written technic. In this method two research subjects that have specific characteristic is used. The data research focused on the teacher’s speech acts in Wisma Bahasa Yogyakarta who teach Indonesian in natural speech. In line with the research goal, the result of this study show that the kinds of speech acts is devided into six categories, those are (a) assertive speech acts, (b) hesitative speech acts, (c) directive speech acts, (d) expressive speech acts, (e) comissive speech acts, and (f) declarative speech acts. Assertive speech acts is marked with the using of proposition which indicate of speaker conviction in his utterance. Hesitative speech acts is marked with the using of proposition which indicate the speaker unbelieveable in his utterance. Directive speech acts is classified into two terms, those are to express believeable and also unbelieveable proposition in his utterance can do by the speaker. Expressive speech acts is classified into two terms, those are to express evaluation, directly or indirectly. Comissive speech act is classified into two terms, those are to express that the listener has believeable and also unbelieveable to do what is said in his utterance. Declarative speech acts is classified into three terms, those are to express that the speaker give permission, forbiden, and give limitation. Hesitative speech act in this study have not been embodied in the classification of types of speech according to Searle, whereas hesitatif speech act is not something impossible in a speech.     Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa pada Materi PLSU dan PTLSV Menggunakan Alat Peraga Limbah Kayu Jati

    This study was aimed at improving the students’ achievement in PLSV and PtLSV subjects using visual aid (colourful beam and cube models) made from wood. These aids were intended to solve the problems of linear equation and inequation of one varible. This action research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Raha academic year 2014/2015 trough Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection Activities. The result showed that the use of coulourful visual aids can improve the students’ achievement. The improvement was shown by the following scores: 65% at Cycle I and 90.6% at cycle II. The teacher class management was 70% at first cycle and 90% at Second cycle. In addition, the students’ activities were 57.1% and 100% at cycle I and cycle II respectively
