Pemilihan Kapasitas Dan Lokasi Optimal Kapasitor Paralel Pada Sistem Distribusi Daya Listrik
Parallel capacitor have been many used for reactive power compensation in electric power distribution system. Parallel capacitor placement with no appropriate size and location often cause bus voltage excess their limit and also increase power losses. Therefore, the operation cost becomes bigger. The aim of this research is to select the optimal size and location of parallel capacitor, in this case capacitor bank, to reduce power losses as well as to minimise the cost of operation. Exact method is used to find the location and size of parallel capacitor which will be placed at power distribution system buses. MATLAB software is used to make a computer program. Badai feeder is used as power distribustion test case. The results of this research shown that installing the capacitor bank with size of 2550kVAR at bus 18 reduce the most maximum in power losses. But installing capacitor bank with size of 2400 kVAR at bus 20 is the most optimal reducing the cost per year. Keywords: capacitor bank, power distribution system, exact method
Rancang Bangun Sistem Akuisisi Data Multifungsi Berbasis PC Menggunakan Mikrokontroller ATMega8535
A data acquisition is a method to collect information about a system. Instruments that can be considered as data acquisitions include oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and data logger. Although the instruments have different functions, they have the same building blocks. It will be practical if they are integrated to be a multifunction data acquisition. The multifunction data acquisition, based on a PC, has been developed. It consists of data acquisition circuits for collecting the data and software for managing operational mode, presenting and documenting data. Results show that the multifunction data acquisition works well for all functions with graphical and numerical presentation capabilities. Rancang Bangun Sistem Foto Udara Menggunakan Layang-Layang (Kite Aerial Photography)
Kite aerial photography (KAP) provides an alternative solution on conventional aerial photography by using kite equipped with digital camera that can be controlled from the ground and that can stream video to the ground. Data communication system that is applied on KAP utilizes microcontroller AT89S52 as the interface. Commands from a non-vibrated play station stick are modullated using frequency shift keying (FSK) and transmitted from the ground to the KAP. The commands are then demodullted for controlling the shutter and zoom of digital camera and positioning the digital camera by rotating servo motor (panning and tilting). Video is transmitted using frequency 1.2 GHz and received by a TV tuner to view the location/obejct to be captured. Functional testing has been conducted and resutls suggest that the system works as expected
Moving Average Method on Thermal Objects Acquired by Consumer Digital Camera
In this paper, an experimentation to enhance the visibility of hot objects in a thermal image acquired with ordinary digital camera is reported, after the applications of contrast stretching. The moving average techniques were used to suppress granular noises. Finally lowpass, median filtering as well moving average method were applied, where the later is best for suppressing granular noise and maintaining the intended thermal images
DESIGN MODEL OF AUTOMATION WASHER FOR TWO TUBES APERTURE (TWIN TUBE TOP LOADER) MICROCONTROLLER BASED ATMEGA32
Usually when doing household chores often accompany mothers with other occupations. Like when washing coupled with cooking or ironing. As a result of work performed at the same time, there is one job that is interspersed experiencing problems, eg when interrupted to cook, dishes to be burnt, or when inter spersed ironing, ironing clothes causing burns. This is due to the activity of washing process is done repeatedly like water filling, washing, emptying the water, refill the water, rinse, empty the water back, and then drying the laundry. Arises an idea how when using the washing machine manual washing can be done in a one-time process for filling and flushing. So for any housewife more time to while doing other work.Model automatic washing machines are washing machines that can wash automatically, starting from setting the amount of water, the washing process until the flushing. In this study design automation of the washing machine two openings on the standard tube (twin tube top loaders) based microcontroller ATMega32. Stagesof research began by studying the working principles of manual washing machine that will be automated, to design a model of the automatic washing machine. The design of this washing machine model consists of acontrol circuit, two water level sensors, two actuators and one DC motor as a motor washing.Water level sensors will work when the plate is implanted into the washing tube then detects the presence ofwater so that the resulting output becomes the trigger for the microcontroller. Microcontroller that would regulate and DC motor actuator. So that the washing machine automation design two openings on the standard tube (twin tube top loaders) based microcontroller has been realized. Where the water level sensor isnot affected by pressure and flow of water that flowed into the wash tube
Rancang Bangun Model Sistem Pemantauan Tinggi Muka Air Sungai Menggunakan Telemetri Radio
The early warning system of flood is used to prevent and minimize a damage to be happened. The primary element for the early warning system is water level of river, using distance measurement based on ultrasonic wave. The objective of this research is to make an instrument that functioned to measure water level of river and send the data to data center using radio frequency. This instrument is designed using the microcontroller as a trigger sensor and time of flight numerator of ultrasonic wave, result of the measurement is modulated using FSK then sent using the radio wave at frequency 88 108 MHz. Data which have been received then sent to computer in order to be presented and recorded. For 100 m from sensor, water level can be measured with one millimeter scale, with 0.61percent deviation for clear water. For dirty water, the deviation is 2.29 percent. Water level of river that modulated at modulator FSK for high logic is 5.98 percent, and for low logic is 6.22 percent. The stability of modulator frequency for all logics is good.

Analisis Peluahan Sebagian (Partial Discharge) Pada Transformator Step-Up Tegangan Rendah Dengan Proses Pengisolasian Yang Bervariasi
The existence of cavities (voids) in a solid insulating material will cause partial discharge when the insulation burdened by voltage. Cavity in the material usually results from defects at the time of production. The process of insulation at the time of production becomes very important to consider that partial discharge is happening can be reduced. In this study, the transformer is processed by three different processes: model 1, without impregnation and oven process; model 2, without impregnation but with oven process and model 3; with impregnation and oven process. Impregnation process carried out by dipping transformer coils for a few hours into the liquid varnish. Oven process conducted at a temperature of 1000C for 24 hours by using a Furnace tool. This study shows that the impregnation and oven process was affect existing cavity in insulation. This was shown by differences in the pattern of partial discharge that occurs namely; magnitud (pC) and number of partial discharge (n). These results show that model 3 is better than model 1 and model 2 of the transformer
