    On medium voltage transformer, winding insulation is a important problem. One of caused can drop of age winding is occurred partial discharge on insulation. Analysis of the partial discharge on winding insulation medium voltage 5 kV transformer. Medium voltage 5 kV transformer winding, which variated insulation process become on 3 are without impregnation process with varnish and oven (model 1), impregnation process with varnish (model 2), impregnation process with 1varnish and oven (model 3). The final objective of the research is compared partial discharge pattern (pC,n,0) between three models. Partial discharge wave from this research will be separated of noise and partial discharge wave with denoising process. Processing of research with wavelet from Matlab program. For getting partial discharge wave using software Adobe Photoshop CS2. From the result already done, partial discharge level (pC,n,0) on model 3 is lower than model 1 and model 2

    Vehicle number plate identification and recognition systems used in many applications, such as parking lot access, traffic control, and vehicles monitoring and security. In this research, an offline system to read and identify vehicle number plate is developed. Vehicle number plate identification process is performed in two steps, the first is the character image processing and the second is the pattern recognition with artificial neural networks. The character image processing consists of binerization, open-close morphology, median filtering, slicing and resizing. Back propagation algorithm is performed to train the neural networks,starting from the output layer to the input layer with output error is used to change network values. Testingis carried out in two scenarios, The first one is with the image samples which are included in the training step. The second one is with the image samples which are not included in the training step. The testing results show that the system is able to identify as much as 96 percent and 90 percent of number plate image samples for each scenarios

Robot is the replica of fire fighting car where fire fighting is used fan.Microcontroller ATMega 8535 is used as a controller, DC Motor is used to drive wheel and ladder, phototransistor is used to detect fire. Robot use infrared module to detect wall. Robot moves straight forward to the front and if it detects impediment then robot will be stopped. After stopping, ladder driving motor will be spun to ascend the ladder. After the ladder stands and detects fire, the fan will spin for fighting the fire

    Web Services technology that currently is developing presents a variety of information technology acceleration in many fields. One of new architecture using it is Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). SOA is an approach in architecting an application by reusing existing components. These components provide a business service type and are built and interacted one to each other independently and loose coupled. In this research, a web application is developed using web service as service provider by implementing SOA. The case study is Departmental Management Information System (Simanjur) that aims to ease searching and recording of study program data in University of Lampung. Simanjur is built using PHP as server side programming language and RUP (Rational Unified Process), as process method, and is tested on Java and .NET platform. The result of testing shows that SOA usage in this application gives some advantages. The advantages is a web application that provides service to other application, therefore data owned can be consumed by other application even from different platform or framework

    ANALYTICAL STUDY OF QoS (Quality of Service) IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF VOICE COMMUNICATION APPLICATION VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) ON THE INTRANET NETWORK AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LAMPUNG

    Decline in the quality of a network can be caused by increasing the number of network users. The same case happened on the Unila intranet, quality of intranet degradation will cause packets delayed or even lost. To determine the performance, measurement especially in the implementation voice application. Network performance will be seen from the measurement of QoS (Quality of Service) on the Unila intranet. Network measurement is performed by active measurement with direct measurement to a pre determined scenario and considered to the three parameters: throughput, delay, and jitter by using DITG software. Using UDPprotocol as a protocol for sending voice packets and using three different audio codec at each measurement scenario there are, G.711, G.723.1, and G.729. According to the theory, jitter will increase if delay value is higher. The resulting of jitter and delay value will affect the throughput value. If the jitter and delay value increase, the throughput value will decrease. Research results are not too different from the theory.Throughput value from measurement will be smaller if the jitter and delay value increase. On the Unila LAN,performance of G.711 codec is better than other codec because this codec produces smaller delay and jitter,and the result for throughput is higher than that of other codec
