L’arabesco del disastro. Un modello spaziale della letteratura napoletana

    No full text
The essay examines briefly come significant works published between the 1950s and the first decade of the 21st century in order to show the endurance over time of a representation of the city of Naples inspired by a spatial typology that reduces verticality to a horizontal tangle and transforms historical conflict into the emergence of natural drives. The essay examines briefly come significant works published between the 1950s and the first decade of the 21st century in order to show the endurance over time of a representation of the city of Naples inspired by a spatial typology that reduces verticality to a horizontal tangle and transforms historical conflict into the emergence of natural drives

Ripensare l’abitare: design, spazi pubblici, sostenibilità. Una conversazione con Francesca La Rocca

    Get PDF
The interview with Francesca La Rocca is aimed at exploring the relationship between the public and private spheres with reference to dwelling. La Rocca examines these issues through the lenses of architecture and design, starting from the legacy of the radical avant-garde movements of the 1970s, with a particular focus on figures such as Andrea Branzi and Ugo La Pietra. She reflects on the role of design in harmonizing the relationship between nature, technology, and everyday life by delving into key themes such as cosmic hospitality, environmental sustainability, the necessity of dynamic public spaces, and the significance of the body and sensory experience in design processes. Through a complex and interdisciplinary perspective, the experience of inhabiting a place emerges as an act of negotiation between human, social, and environmental needs, oriented towards an inclusive and sustainable future.      The interview with Francesca La Rocca is aimed at exploring the relationship between the public and private spheres with reference to dwelling. Death Drive, Repetition Compulsion, and Primary Masochism

    Get PDF
This article takes up the 1920 Freudian text, Beyond the Pleasure Principle, to think about how psychic life is described in terms of drive imbrication or the connection between libido and the death drive and to suggest that the compulsion to repeat pain and displeasure can be thought of as an attempt to reestablish the primary masochism, which for some reason would have failed

    Between Bodies

Proceeding from initial considerations about the importance of symptom formation for Psychoanalysis, in addition to its result as an incarnation of words in bodies, and a special focus on the symptoms of conversion hysteria, we propose some elements of analysis to observe a clinical case analyzed by Merleau-Ponty in Phenomenology of Perception. The significant incidence does not fail to mark the hysterical woman’s body, a mark that refers to the non-existence of a sexual relationship considered by the patient, not impossible, but forbidden by the maternal Other. This relationship with her loving partners – mother and boyfriend – leads her to devastation. In this way, because she believes in the existence of sexual relationships and the existence of an Absolute Other, death, she incarnates her symptom

Carl Müller-Braunschweig’s Contributions to the Philosophical Reception of Psychoanalysis in Germany in the 1920s

This article explores Carl Müller-Braunschweig’s contributions to the interface between psychoanalysis and philosophy in 1920s Germany. We focus on one of his works, presented in 1924 at the V International Congress of Philosophy. We aim to introduce the ideas of an author little frequented by the specialized literature, especially his epistemological contributions and his place in the history of the philosophical reception of psychoanalysis, hoping to foster new and more in-depth research on the topic. As a psychoanalyst and neo-Kantian philosopher, Müller-Braunschweig sought to frame psychoanalysis within the rigors of empirical science, proposing a dialogue between psychoanalysis and philosophy along the same lines as that which existed at the time between certain natural sciences, such as physics and chemistry, and philosophy. The article problematizes the reception of his ideas and how he would have influenced subsequent philosophical and psychoanalytic debates, establishing some markers from which psychoanalysis would interact with philosophy subsequently.&nbsp

Fonti visuali per la comprensione dei mosaici pavimentali della Cattedrale di Novara, con una proposta di datazione

    Get PDF
This study examines the lost mosaics of the nave of Novara Cathedral. Through the analysis of material evidence and a critical assessment of the available visual sources, the artistic characteristics of the original figural pavement are investigated, proposing a contextual interpretation that mitigates the loss of physical remains and refines the chronology, with particular focus on a surviving mosaic fragment. The contextualization of the work within the broader artistic landscape and the examination of the interplay between mosaic and manuscript illumination ultimately offer a deeper understanding of its design and execution processes.
