    Get PDF
With the advent of modernity, human control over nature has progressively transformed the concept of territory from a ‘living being’ into a market asset, converting its generative qualities into tradable attributes. This transition exemplifies an extractive logic in which nature’s value is reduced to profitability metrics and converted into financial rent through technocratic processes. The deconstruction of the anthropocentric paradigm, founded on the dichotomy between human and  non‑human, therefore emerges as an essential prerequisite for rethinking governance models capable of transcending purely technical-procedural approaches. The study aims to identify conceptual frameworks to guide the formulation of eco‑territorial governance models founded on reciprocity and driven by co‑evolutionary dynamics. These models aim to guide a reconfiguration of socio‑ecological relations beyond traditional extractive logics. Adopting a critical lens, the study redefines the concept of territory as a space of mutual belonging. It undertakes a comparative analysis of the pathways of Sa Tramuda in Sardinia and the network of Trazzere in Sicily, proposing an interpretive framework that transcends the human/non‑human dualism. It presents models that highlight the interdependence between communities and territory, emphasising its role as a dynamic entity shaped by historical layers, cultural practices and ecosystem connections, rather than merely its tangible dimension.

Giving the mountain a voice is the successful challenge taken up by the author, who develops a story that is both fairy-tale-like and lyrical. Through the learning of language, thanks to Maddalena's teachings, the story reveals important meta-literary reflections on the unity of the subject and the question of the author's position with respect to the content of the narrative. The life and history of the mountain are depicted up to the fire that devastated it.Una recensione studio sul romanzo di Edoardo Mantega Annìle, ovvero falsa fiaba della montagna di ferro, (Il Maestrale, Nuoro 2024).

Located in the future province of Tripolitania, the city of Lepcis Magna delivered at the first sight, a more or less important epigraphic corpus dating from the reign of the Julio-Claudian emperors, which characterizes it compared to the other cities of Roman Africa. On the basis of this epigraphic documentation, it appears that this city experienced a flourishing period during the first century, especially on the municipal and urban level. What I wish to highlight here is that this research will aim to demonstrate that the Julio-Claudian period is in particular for Lepcis Magna of decisive importance for the evaluation of the progress of Romanization, which reached its peak during the reign of the Severs in the 3rd century.

In 2019, a strigillated sarcophagus was recovered in a private dwelling in the town of Serramanna, near Cagliari in Sardinia. The decoration seems to recall sarcophagi made by Carthaginian workshops between the end of the 4th and the middle of the 5th cent. A.D., even if, without petrographic analysis, it is hard to define if it was imported from North Africa or locally made by artisans that imitate African products. The burial context is unknown. The sarcophagus was reused as water basin.

What Challenges for Italian Theoretical Philosophy

    Get PDF
This paper aims to identify some significant traits of contemporary Italian theoretical philosophy, starting from a new definition of theoretical philosophy and following an idea put forward by critical hermeneutics. Critical hermeneutics places particular emphasis, on the one hand, on the centrality of the philosophical work with the sciences and, on the other hand, on the openness towards different schools and traditions, overcoming the radicalised position. It is precisely the knot of radical opposition that emerges among the most important challenges, alongside the challenges of seeking moderate autonomy, upgrading relations with the extra-philosophical world, and distancing from communicative-media and commercial seductions.&nbsp

    The Human Condition

Among the many possible ways to pay tribute to a thinker such as Hannah Arendt, on the fiftieth anniversary of her death, we were decided to adopt an unprecedented approach: an imaginary interview. This choice responds to her desire – expressed repeatedly in her works – to invite future readers to grasp the vitality of her thinking, without stopping at the final results and avoiding the risk of imprisoning her philosophy within systematic and rigid formulas. It is a way of questioning the nature of concepts, the development of arguments and the dynamics of Arendt's reflections, which often germinated in virtuous exchanges of opinion during meetings with her friends – philosophers and poets, historians and writers – who crowded her home... &nbsp

    Hermeneutics, Historicism and Surroundings

About a century after the cultural events that fostered the development of philosophical hermeneutics, I believe it is useful to return to its original historicist influence. This work draws inspiration from the project of a great Dictionary of Hermeneutics (edited by Gaspare Mura and Vinicio Busacchi), aimed at illustrating its historical profiles, systematic aspects and theoretical issues across the board. In the following pages, I would like to draw attention to the way in which some of the great classics of the twentieth-century hermeneutic tradition took a specific position in dealing with the question of historical knowledge. This was done through original reinterpretations of the philosophical problems of time and the past with respect to the legacy of the historicist tradition and, in particular, with respect to its outcomes in German culture between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. I will not propose a historical reconstruction, but rather will attempt to explore the theoretical positions, problems and the attempts made at answers through the conceptual and argumentative analysis of some canonical texts. Most space is devoted to Martin Heidegger, as the protagonist of the ontological shift in the theory of understanding that largely determined the subsequent developments of hermeneutics. Given their depth and the particularly rich and complex web of theoretical paths that run through Sein und Zeit, it seemed necessary to select a specific reading itinerary for the work, re-examining the sections that can be linked to the question of history. In order to give adequate prominence to the plurality of philosophical voices and sensibilities involved, I have divided the work into two parts. In the first, I present some theoretical issues of German historicism, in order to highlight the significance of the ontological shift in Heidegger, which is then analysed in detail. The second part examines the interesting and diverse versions of the hermeneutic paradigm in Gadamer and Ricoeur
