Level Penalaran Kognitf Siswa pada Materi Kedatangan Bangsa-Bangsa Barat ke Indonesia Kelas VIII SMPN 7 Toli-Toli
This study aims to determine the cognitive reasoning level of students on the material of the arrival of western nations to Indonesia. This research includes quantitative descriptive research. This study involved 30 students of class VIII SMPN 7 Toli-Toli. Data collection techniques in this study was through the provision of tests. The instrument used consisted of 10 diagnostic items in the form of four tiers. The results showed that in the pattern of cognitive reasoning for the formal category was 3.3%, transitional was 67.7%, and concrete was 20.0%. Based on the cognitive level of students' cognitive reasoning level, the results obtained were evaluating 20.0%, analyzing 33.3%, and applying 46.7%. Based on the results, it is known that the highest level of cognitive reasoning possessed by students is applying and the lowest is evaluating
Meningkatkan Kosakata Siswa Kelas Tujuh melalui Penerapan Teknik Pemetaan Pikiran
The objective of the research is to improve the students’ vocabulary through the implementation of mind mapping technique. This research was conducted by using classroom action research. Additionally, the data in this research were taken from 30 seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Ampana Kota. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation checklist for the students’ and the teacher’s performances, vocabulary test, and field notes. Vocabulary test was used as the main instrument, supported by observation and field notes as the supporting instruments. The result showed that there was improvement of the students’ scores on cycle II. The implementation of the two cycles showed the enriching of students’ achievement. In the test of cycle I, almost all students were failed. By changing the steps of the implementation of mind mapping technique, all students were successful. Additionally, most of the students’ scores in the cycle II belong to “very good category” and all of them are qualified to be “successful.” This is because the emphasis of using mother tongue when teaching mind mapping makes the students improve their vocabulary. In conclusion, the implementation of mind mapping technique improved the students’ vocabulary
Pembentukan Karakter Peduli Lingkungan pada Mahasiswa PPKn melalui Pendekatan Green Constitution
Character values can be attached to students through learning and habituation (habituations) for students to love and care for the campus environment so that they are expected to become student characters. The learning in PPKn based on the Green Constitution is expected to raise the rights and obligations of citizens as contained in the constitution and other laws that discuss environmental conservation. This research was conducted in the third semester of students in the study program of PPKn, Teacher Training and Education Faculty Tadulako University, totaling 75 people consisting of 2 classes. Data were collected by giving pretest and posttest questions. The pretest is given to students in the form of the multiple-choice written test. Before the treatment was given, the initial condition of the students still showed a bad habit such as littering in the classroom and outside the classroom. Students are apathetic by not taking the initiative to immediately pick up or clean up trash. This condition indicates that students still lack a sense of belonging to a clean environment. The success rate of student learning in the pretest, which is 72%, is categorized as very low and after being given material on the Green Constitution are 94.6% of students understand the concept of caring for the environment
Identification of the Learning Motivation of Class VII IT Students Al-Fahmi Palu in the 2022/2023 Academic Year
The purpose of this study was to find out how the learning motivation of class VII students of SMP al-Fahmi, Palu city in social studies subjects. The research method used in this research is this research study using qualitative research and case study research. This study will reveal how students' learning motivation is low, high in the 2022-2023 school year. Sources of data are through survey studies on student learning motivation data when participating in the learning process, both student data for class VII SMP Al-Fahmi and teacher data through interviews on social studies (Social Sciences) subjects and through observations. The use of the instrument in this study uses interview and observation guidelines to obtain in-depth data on the implementation of this research. The data collection technique is through data triangulation and the researcher uses qualitative data analysis which is accessed through the sources proposed by Miles and Huberman and Sugiyono, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study found data that the intrinsic aspect is motivation or encouragement that arises from within students to achieve mastery of learning outcomes in class on social studies subject
Analisa Kemampuan Guru Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dalam Penyusunan dan Penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palu
The newly implemented Independent Curriculum in the learning process requires students to play an active and independent role in learning. Teachers as facilitators must be able to choose good learning resources for their students to use, one of which is selecting student worksheets. The teacher must carry out an analysis of the needs of learning resources in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's ability to compile and use student worksheet in Informatics learning in the material of Computer Networks and the Internet in class X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palu. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The results of this study show that the ability of Indonesian teachers in compiling student worksheet according to the Independent Curriculum obtains an average score of 81% in the very good category and the ability to use use prepared student worksheet to obtain an average score of 89% in the very good category
Identifikasi Faktor-Faktor Penyebab Kesulitan Belajar Fisika dalam Materi Usaha dan Energi pada Siswa SMA
This research aimed to identify the learning difficulties experienced by students in class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Nuhon in learning the physics topic of work and energy. The research method used was descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of six students who were selected based on recommendations from the physics teacher. Data was collected through test questions and analyzed using the stages of the Polya method, namely understanding the problem, planning a solution, implementing the plan, and reviewing it. Additionally, interviews were conducted to support the research. The results showed that students faced difficulties mainly in aspect II (planning problem solving), as most students were unable to write a plan for solving problems, such as outlining the steps and the correct formulas. Difficulties also arose in aspect III (solving problems), where all students struggled to complete and accurately record the correct answers. However, they demonstrated an ability to understand and complete questions one and two well and provide correct answers. Regarding aspect IV (revisiting), students often neglected to double-check and review their work, which resulted in errors. In conclusion, it can be inferred that students experienced difficulties in aspects II, III, and IV
Perspektif Siswa terhadap Penggunaan Google Classroom sebagai Media Pembelajaran
This research intends to analyze the student’s perspective of the use of Google Classroom as an instructional medium. The research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at SMA Karuna Dipa Palu. The participants of this research were a total of 20 students in the science and social class of the 2020/2021 academic year. They were selected by using the purposive sampling technique. The data collection employed triangulation by using semi-structured questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The findings of the research revealed that the students’ perceptions on the implementation of Google Classroom as an instructional medium are acceptable. Google Classroom helps the students to be productive and facilitates the teaching and learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. There two obstacles faced by students during the implementation of Google Classroom are the internet connection and electricity instability. Even though the students faced some obstacles during the implementation of Google Classroom, the students perceived that Google Classroom is beneficial and effective for instructional medium
Pelatihan Penggunaan Media Kongkret dalam Penanaman Konsep pada Operasi Hitung Bilangan Bulat
The purpose of implementing this service is (1) to strengthen the ability of elementary school teachers in using concrete media to instill the concept of integer operations (2) the mistakes made by trainees in using concrete media to instill the concept of integer operations. The participants of this training were teachers of SD Gugus V, East Palu District with a total of 25 participants. The service method used is presentation, demonstration, training and question and answer. The results of the service implementation show that all participants are very enthusiastic about participating in this training activity, and all training participants have obtained strengthening abilities to use concrete in learning integer arithmetic operations. However, the findings of the questionnaire showed that there were still trainees who experienced errors in using the posinega card and number line media. Errors in using posinega cards occur in subtraction operations, namely the use of neutral cards so that subtraction operations can be carried out. While using the number line, the error found is not changing the direction of the arrow when the operation is subtraction. If the arrows are not changed, then the forward (addition) and backward (subtract) steps will result in an error. Respondents also still find it difficult to distinguish the sign of the subtraction operation from the sign of a number (negative number), so that when the respondent is working on subtracting positive and negative integers or negative and negative integers, there are still many respondents who make the wrong number line demonstration
Kesalahan Sintaksis pada Abstrak Berbahasa Inggris di Jurnal Ilmiah
Students who write theses must make an article published in a scientific journal. The most difficult part for non-English students is writing abstract into English. The aims of this study was to find errors made by students in writing abstracts and to find the most dominant types of errors in writing abstracts. The research used descriptive qualitative method. The number of articles published throughout 2020 is 30. Researchers took 30% from the number of articles so the sample of this study is 9.The students' errors in writing abstract are: 1) not understanding the suitability of subject and verb, not changing verb forms to past forms, not understanding the use of connectors, 2) changing word order influenced by source language, 3) reducing suffix determining: word class, singular plural forms, and tenses, 4) removing prepositions and objects, 5) generalizing verb forms for both singular and plural subjects, including past and present forms, so the use of suffixes is not clear. The most dominant type of error made by students is misinformation which is the use of tense and auxiliary verb BE causing errors in subject verb agreemen
Profil Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis Siswa SMK dalam Memecahkan Masalah Berdasarkan Polya Ditinjau dari Gender
The purpose of this study was to describe the profile of the mathematical connection abilities of vocational high school students in solving mathematical problems based on Polya's steps in terms of gender. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach that is in accordance with Polya's steps. The results showed that the profiles of male and female students' mathematical connection abilities in solving mathematical problems based on Polya's steps, namely (1) the stage of understanding the problem, students understand and identify facts, concepts by associating available information such as things that are known and asked about problems in other fields of study as well as writing down the information known and asked in full in the form of sentences, pictures and mathematical symbols; (2) the stage of making plans, students reveal about the steps of solving the problem of system of linear equation with two variables that will be used to solve problems regularly and precisely, using one method in solving problems; (3) the stage of carrying out the plan, students use the relationship between facts, concepts, mathematical principles on problems that will be solved properly; and (4) the re-examining stage, students recalculate the results obtained so that the test results obtained are the same as the results obtained at the beginning
