    This study expects a teacher has learning methods to better support classroom learning, thus resulting in a productive and active learning. Indonesian textbooks and academic self-expression SMA / MA / SMK / MAK class XII 2nd semester curriculum in 2013, the Ministry of education and culture through learning to write fiction in the novel. This study uses a method that is Pictur Picture and Picture and Picture Learning model is a learning method that uses images and paired or sorted into a logical sequence. Learning is characterized Active, Innovative, Creative, and Fun. Learning Model relies images as a medium of learning. These images become a major factor in the learning process. In pulling teaching of writing fiction in the novel, the author tried to examine the learning method and Pictur Picture. Â

    This research aims to know the influence of the method of discussion-based mind mapping to learning outcomes of Semantics. Discussion and  mind mapping involves the right brain and left, as well as a focus on learning styles of students.  This study is about Praeksperimental Design Static Group Comparison. The population in this study was all student who became grade of 2013 amounthed to 68 people.  The test results are then analyzed by t-test. The result indicated that experimental classes have an average score of 66, while the control class has an average score of 44. T and t count comparison table of experimental groups showed that t count (6.708) > t table (3.21). T and t count comparison table the control group suggests that t count (6.713) > t table (0.678). The results of the Sig (2-tailed) any two groups indicating that the Sig (2-tailed) confidence level < (0.025). Those results indicated was Ho denied and Ha received, which means the discussion using mind mapping the positive effect to the learning outcomes of Semantics.Â

    This research has purpose to get description about use of majas in poetry of student of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Koto XI Tarusan. This research is type of qualitative research using content analysis method. The data in this study is a collection of poems written by students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Koto XI Tarusan, while the focus of research is the utilization of the majas contained in the poem. Data collection is done by inventorying all poems written by students. Furthermore, the data were analyzed according to the content analysis method and studied based on the theory of the masters used. Based on the results of the discussion can be concluded that the majas used in the student's poetry among them; (1) Parable, (2) hyperbole, (3) repetition, (4) personification, (5) metaphors, (6) ellipsis, and (7) allegory. Majus found in total amounted to 73 majas. For the dominant masters used in student poems the personification majas, amounting to 25 types of usage of 73 types of the found masters

    This research were aims to describe the things as follows. First, the ability to write a short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Numbered Head Together type. Second, the ability to write short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Think Pair Share type. Third, the difference in ability to write short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by cooperative approach Numbered Head Together and Think Pair Share type. This research was quantitative with descriptive method of quasi experimental research design. Sampling was done by using simple random sampling technique. In this research, class VII.3 was assigned as experiment class I which amounted to 32 students and VII.5 as experiment class II which amounted to 30 students. Data collected by using performance test writing short story text. The results of this study are as follows. First, the ability to write a short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Numbered Head Together type was 89,58. Second, the ability to write short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Think Pair Share type was 81,48. Third, there was a significant difference in ability to write short story text of students in class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by cooperative approach Numbered Head Together and Think Pair Share type

    This study begins from the problem of low skills learning ability to compose Elementary literature in PGSD departement of Bung Hatta University. It can be seen from the results of  students’ mid semester test, observation, and interviews with faculty to compose literature Skills in elementary course. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of an active learning model type of card sort to compose skills to elementary school's student in PGSD Department and to know the results of learning skills to compose an Elementary course-students after being taught by active learning model type of card sort. This type of research was a Quasi Experimental study. The populations were all students in PGSD department Academic Year 2015/2016.The Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires of learning motivation and learning skills tests to compose Elementary literature in PGSD. The Data analysis techniques used in this study were  t-test and ANOVA. Based on the findings, we concluded that first learning skills to compose elementary literature students who use active learning model type of card sort was higher than in convenetional than students who used conventional learning either seen as a whole or from high and low learning motivation. Second, there was no interaction between the learning motivation to learn the skills of learning to compose Elementary literature of PGSD students. It means that active learning model type of card sort gave good effect on learning skilss to compose Elementary literature of PGSD students.  Â

    ANALISIS KOHESI ANAFORA DAN KATAFORA PADA TAJUK RENCANA KORAN KOMPAS

    The purpose of this study was to determine the cohesion aspect anaphora and katafora the Kompas newspaper editorials. The method used in this study is qualitative content analysis with technical analysis is a method used to examine in greater depth discourse. The results showed that of the 12 editorial discourse data showed as many as 164 pairs of sentences. Research data of 164 couples found 67 sentences have cohesion anaphora or as much as 40,48% and only 14 pairs sentence with katafora cohesion or 8,54%. Aspects of cohesion anaphora is used predominantly in building cohesion sentence. From the use of markers, can be show that demonstrative pronouns as much as 54,32% more often appear in a sentence with cohesion. It indicates that the demonstrative pronoun marker has an important role in forming the sentence cohesion

    Textbooks that support learning Creative Critical Reading courses are still very minimal. It certainly affects the ability of students to understand reading skills. Students have limited ability to understand the theory due to the limitations of reverence. One effort that can be done is to develop textbooks. Textbooks should be able to motivate students. One effort that can be done is by developing ARCS-based teaching book (Attention, Relevance, Convidence, Satisfaction). This article aims to comply with ARCS-based teaching-learning techniques. Creation of Creative Critical Reading books with ARCS contains four components: awakening and attention to students' attention during learning (Attention), using subject matter that is relevant to the student's life (Relevance), instilling confidence, and cultivating a sense of satisfaction on students to learning (Satisfaction). The expected result in this research is the creation of ARCS-based critical and creative reading book (Attention, Relevance, Convidence, Satisfaction) for Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program students

    The study aims to describe 1) the academic interaction and 2) communication form between the students and their academic lecturers of the Study Program of Indonesian Language Education, Faculty of Trainer and Training Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. It employed a descriptive-qualitative approach. The data collection used the techniques of in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. The data sources were obtained from the the students and their lecturers. The data were the academic interaction and communication forms. The data validity applied a data or source triangulation. The data analysis employed an interactive model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of the study show that the academic interaction and communication form consist of informative, persuasive, and argumentative verbal. Furthermore, the forms are in a one-way, two-way, and multiple-way communications
