    This paper will map out the professional competencies that Indonesian Language and Literature teachers must possess. The professional competence is mapped based on Permendiknas Attachment no. 16 of 2007 on the standard of Academic Qualification and Teacher Competence that is mastering material, structure, concepts, and intellectual mindset related subjects that taught. The competencies are spelled out in the following points: to understand the concepts, theories, and the linguistic material. Linguistic understandings related to the development of language learning materials, understanding the nature of language and language acquisition, understanding the position, function, and variety of Indonesian language, mastering the basics of Indonesian language as a reference to the use of Indonesian language is good and true, have the skills to speak Indonesian (listening, speaking , reading and writing). Meanwhile, literary understanding is related to understanding the theory and genre of Indonesian literature and able to appreciate the Indonesian literature receptively and productively.  Various competencies are expected to produce a professional teacher of Indonesian Language and Literature that makes learning Indonesian Language and Literature to be ideal

    The objective of this study is to analyze the literary criticism through mimetic approach on short stories Ibu Pergi ke Laut by Puthut EA and explain the relevance with learning literature in Elementary school. This research is descriptive qualitative study. Data collection techniques used is book research, check out, and record. Data analysis technique used is the analysis of dialectical data. Novel Ibu Pergi ke Laut is based on the real story of tsunami in Aceh on December 26, 2004. Most of the data is similar to the data which the truth of the fact can be proved because the story is really happened and reflected the real experienced by either the victim or the family at that time. This short story can be used by the students as literature learning materials in primary schools which the story was taken from others' experience reflected how to face a problem in life

    The objective of this study was to find and to obtain a profound uderstanding of the moral value of the main character in the novel “Ayat-ayat Cinta 1†by Habiburrahman El Shirazy in response the sixth semester students Department of PBSI (Indonesian Language and Literature Education) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Student’s receptions include: 1) student’s response on religious moral values, 2) student response on the moral values of personality, 3) student’s response on social moral values. This qualitative research was obtained through closed questionnaires and interviews. The data collection procedure is done by determining the respondents who have read and understand the novel, spread the questionnaire, and then do the interview, collecting the data, classify data, and analyze the data. Analytical techniques of data analysis include: the stage of reduction / codification of the data presentation stage, and the stage of conclusion or verification. The result of the research shows that the moral value of religion the main character with percentage 9,3% both, as well as the moral values of personality with percentage 9,0%, and the social moral value with percentage 9,6%. The moral value of the main character can be an example for the student so as to form a strong character in religious moral values, moral values of personality, and social moral values

    PENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MENYIMAK PADA PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK INTEGRATIF MELALUI MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

    The purpose of this research is to know the application of interactive multimedia, improvement of learning achievement, and the advantages of interactive multimedia. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The subjects studied were the students of grade 1, amounting to 24 people. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK) with data collection techniques through test, observation, and documentation. This data analysis technique using data analysis with interactive model, and in the analysis and data collection activities using 2 cycles that is cycle I and cycle II. The result of the research shows that there is an increase of learning achievement by using interactive multimedia in integrative thematic learning with the value of ≥70 as much as 80% of students, student cooperation with the provision of ≥75 80% and student motivation with the value of ≥75 as much as 80%. So it can be seen the advantages of interactive multimedia is to make learning more fun, can improve the achievement listening integrative thematic learning, foster student potential, improve student cooperation. While the shortage is a long time in preparation and require the availability of facilities.    Â

    Indonesian language is a must subject that all of the university student should be taken in term of their final task, which is scientific work, named skripsi. The lecturer of Indonesian language has concern in term of the lack of written ability that the university students nowadays have. The researcher’s effort in the affectivity of Indonesian language learning by using student active learning method, which is the emphasize of student activity in the classroom. This method requires student to interact in the learning process. Beside that, student should also have criticism to the problem that might be happen in the classroom’s learning process. The purpose of writing this article is to examine the learning of Indonesian conducted in the Management class in UIN Syarif Hidayatullah by using student active learning. Through the method of student active learning that has been examined by the researcher in the Management classroom A and B in Economic and Business Faculty of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, the researcher has the satisfactory result in the Management classroom A, and the unsatisfactory result in the Management classroom B. The average score of mid-semester test of the Management classroom A is 83,14 (A), The average score of mid-semester test of the Management classroom B is 72 (B). The average score of final-semester test of the Management classroom A is 80,4 (A) The average score of final-semester test of the Management classroom B is 78,43 (B). The average score of formative and daily tasks of the Management classroom A is 82 (A), and the average score of formative and daily tasks of the Management classroom B is 77,1 (B)

    This study aims to determine the implementation of the use of SAS (Structural Analytic Synthetic) method in Indonesian language learning to write the beginning of elementary school students. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Subjects in this research are first grade teachers of Elementary School and Elementary School students of 20 students. In this study researchers used data collection techniques by way of observation, documentation, interviews and tests. Data analysis technique in this research is interactive data analysis, there are three main thing in data analysis of interactive model that is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on the implementation of SAS method in Indonesian Language subjects to train writing skill in grade 1 students of SD 2 Negeri Bendo Subdistrict, Magetan Regency has been running in accordance with the learning plan as stated in the lesson planning plan. given the result of writing the student is good enough The average grade of 81.75 from 20 students in class I. the lowest value yiatu 70 and the highest value is 90. Based on the predetermined KKM that is 75, it can be concluded that there is 90% students have achieved the value or achieved the value of KKM, while 10% of students still have not reached the value of complete or still below the value of KKM

    This research aimed to describe language acquisition in the phonology. The method of the research was a qualitative descriptive by observation and technique of noting. The data source of the research was a record of voice of a three year four month year old child named Wesly when singing two songs of children movie shows of "Tayo" and "Rainbow Ruby." The result of the research showed that the child has been able to speak the understandable language. On the other hand, there were still some difficulties in pronouncing the correct and good phoneme. They could be seen in the difficulty of 1) phoneme pronunciation on consonant-type plosive sound; 2) phoneme pronunciation on vowel sound. There were seven forms of plosive sound for the difficulty of phoneme pronunciation of the consonant plosive sound, such as: 1) bilabial, 2) lamino-palatal, 3) apico-alveolar, 4) , 5) dorso velar, 6) alveolar, and 7) lamino-patal. In addition, there was one form of sound for the difficulty of phoneme pronunciation of the vowel sound namely the diphthong phoneme.Keywords: Language, Language Acquisition, Phonology.Â

    SISTEM HONORIFIK BAHASA SAMAWA DAN FAKTOR YANG MEMENGARUHI PEMAKAIANNYA

    The research intents on describing and explaining the honorifics forms of Samawa language and their use effect factors. The conducted method is case study. Source of data is native speaker of Samawa language in Sumbawa by purposive sampling. Data collection is conducted by in-depth interview with the informants. Data is analysed by interactive model. Furthermore, research findings present that (1) honorific forms of Samawa language is classified by two, they are referent honorific (first person pronoun, second person pronoun, and third person pronoun) and hearer honorific (family relation, professional relation, title, marital status, and general greeting nominal); (2) factor that affects the honorific use of Samawa language contains of power (sex, age, position in the family, occupation, position in an institution, marital status, and education), distance (solidarity, familiarity, and affect), and formality (purpose and setting)

     This study aims to find out the image of the values of local wisdom and cultural clash of Indonesian people who bring the mission of nationalism in the country outside, in the novel Edensor by Andrea Hirata. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive with content analysis technique. Content analysis technique means textually searching for words, sentences, or ideas related to the research topic to then the data obtained are presented, verified, and drawn conclusions. The results obtained from this study indicate that the aspects of local culture appear more prominent or more dominant than other aspects, followed by aspects of religion, custom, and social. The dominant aspect of local culture is that of the characters in the novel because the clearly described figures still have an awareness to defend their culture despite the onslaught of Western cultures. If this is analogous to the representation of the people of Indonesia, then this awareness that carried Edensor. The success of the characters won the bets visiting as many countries as possible to foster self-confidence and pride as the nation of Indonesia. The realization that even though Indonesia is still a moratorium, still lagging behind in science and technology, has grown awareness to dare to advance and forge itself in global competition. It is possible for this nation to change for the better, not only in the mastery of science, but also in the improvement of attitudes in maintaining local wisdom, even if it was abroad

    This study aims to explain the differences in the results of learning to write explanatory text, namely: (1) between students taught using learning discovery learning model with students taught using conventional learning model, (2) interaction between learning model of explanatory writing skill. This type of research is quasi experiment and the design used is 2x2 factorial. Sampling is done by purposive sampling. Analysis and discussion of data is done descriptively. The result of data analysis can be concluded. First, writing explanatory texts that are taught using discovery learning learning model is better than students taught by conventional learning model. Second, there is no interaction between the learning model in influencing the ability to write explanatory text of students. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning model discovery learning can influence the skills of writing text eksplanasi MTsN students Durian Tarung Padang
