Cultural Identity in Achebe’s Things Fall Apart: A Practical Study
Get PDFWith the emergence of cultural diversity as a new concept following the widespread
of new Communication technologies, the question of cultural identity increasingly
becomes in the focus. The effect of colonization dominates almost every aspect of
the conquered populations. In an attempt to have a close view of the effect of colonial power on African cultural identity and social life, this paper aims through
Achebe’s first postcolonial novel Things Fall Apart, to reveal how African societies
undergo the transformation in terms of culture and identity as a consequence of the
British colonization. It investigates what cultural values Africans had before the
arrival of the white man. The present work also exposes Achebe’s perception and
views on cultural identity reflected throughout the selected novel, in the aftermath
of political independence. This study takes as a corpus written sentences and expressions collected from the cited novel, as an approach of analysis. One of the research findings confirms that identity issues are a central topic in literature which
can be an expose about who the African is

Get PDFEn el presente trabajo que hemos realizado, se relaciona con el análisis de errores, hemos
arrojado la luz sobre las dificultades que enfrentan los estudiantes de máster en el aprendizaje del
español como lengua extranjera a nivel de producción escrita. El objetivo de esto es buscar las
causas y fuentes de estos errores. Hemos aplicado dos metodologías: teórica y práctica. Para el
teórico, hemos tratado todos los aspectos relacionados con la interlengua. En cuanto a la
práctica, hemos aplicado un análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de los tipos de errores cometidos
por los estudiantes
Résultats d’Existence de Solutions Pour un Problème Elliptique Singulier Par la Méthode de Galerkin
No full textLe présent mémoire a pour objet l’application de la méthode de Galerkin
à deux problèmes elliptiques. Le premier se présente sous la forme divergentielle. Il
s’agit d’un problème modèle pour l’application de l’approche de Galerkin.
Quant au deuxième, c’est un problème singulier contenant un terme de convection.
La robustesse de la méthode utilisée, à savoir celle de Galerkin réside dans sa
capacité à contourner les singularités présentes dans le second membre. Le principe
de cette méthode repose sur la projection du problème sur des sous espaces de
dimensions finies et le résoudre dans ces sous espaces ensuite faire tendre la
dimension vers l’infini. La méthode est accompagnée par la formulation faible et les
différents théorèmes de régularité assurant l’existence de solution classique pour le

Roberta Gately Lipstick in Afghanistan, and Willow Trees Don’t Weep by the British-Middle
Eastern writer Fadia faqir. Throughout the study, a historical background is provided for
Orientalism that led to the emergence of Neo-Orientalism, particularly with the attacks in
America of September 11th, 2001. Throughout the Orientalist depictions, the East was
represented as backward, primitive, magic and exotic world. Therefore, this dissertation
delves into the experiences of two female protagonists who travelled to Afghanistan with
different purposes, sharing some stereotypical images about the place and its people. The
study attempted to give a micro-representation of how Afghanistan is portrayed through the
lenses of Orientalism and Neo-Orientalism narratives

Les difficultés de la compréhension des consignes scolaires dans l’activité de la compréhension de l’écrit « Cas des élèves de 4ème année du cycle primaire »
Get PDFCe travail de recherche vise à prendre conscience des difficultés rencontrées par les
apprenants de quatrième année primaire lorsqu'ils sont confrontés aux consignes de
compréhension de l'écrit. L'étude a pour objectif d'identifier les difficultés spécifiques,
d'analyser les facteurs contribuant à ces difficultés, et de proposer des solutions pour les
surmonter. L'objectif principal est d'explorer les difficultés liées à la compréhension des
consignes scolaires dans les activités de compréhension de l'écrit. Les principales difficultés
rencontrées sont le vocabulaire limité des apprenants et la présence de concepts peu familiers,
ce qui rend la compréhension plus ardue. Cependant, l'utilisation d'images, de gestes et de
schémas peut faciliter la compréhension des consignes. Pour relever ces défis, nous utiliserons
deux grilles d'observation : une pour les enseignants et une autre pour les apprenants, afin
d'identifier et de relever les problèmes rencontrés par les élèves. Nous utiliserons également
un questionnaire destiné aux enseignants des différentes écoles primaires pour répondre à nos
besoins, choisis comme outils de recherche
