The problem in this research about outlook on life, hierarchical structure, and the condition of cultured patriarchal society in the drama. The purpose of this study is to describe the way of life, a hierarchical structure, and the condition of civilized society patriarchy. The theory used is sociology literature. This is a qualitative study using literature. The primary data is drama Lancang Kuning atawa Siti Zubaidah in a book entitled Obladi Oblada written by Dasri Al-Mubary works published by the Yayasan Sagang, Pekanbaru, 2006, 169 pages thick. The conclusion of this research is that there is harmony human relationship with God and harmony of human relationships with human. Structure hierarchy within the Malay community consists of four layers. The role and position of women in a patriarchal society culture make women can not be separated from domestic work. The existence of stereotypes in society create the assumption that the notion of women are as sex objects
VARIASI ISOLEK MELAYU DI SUMATERA SELATAN
Get PDFThis study discusses the variation of Malay isolects in South Sumatra dealing with phonological and lexical variation. This sudy used diachronic dialectology approach. The data were gathered by the method of conversation with interview techniques using the questionnaires of Research on Cognates and Mapping of Regional Language in Indonesia.The interview was conducted on informants from 21 villages. The vocabulary evidences are described in the form of sound variations and correspondences as well as the types of sound changes based on the framework as performed by Lehman, Hock, and Crowley. Dialectometry and lexicostatistics were used to determine the status of language and cognates between the isolects. The research findings showed that there were phonological and lexical correspondences in vocals and consonants. Sound variations found in this study were caused by morphophonemic and nasalization processes. Sound changes in the form of metathesis, mergers, epenthesis, aphaeresis, syncope, and apocope were also found along with Van der Tuuk correspondence rules in the form of sound variation r~l, d~l and other variations, such as l~t, h~l, d~n, and h~s. The sound correspondences and variations showed the riches of dialectal variation as a characteristic of Malay isolects in South Sumatra, which derived from the same language, i.e. the Malay. The result of lexicostatistics and dialectometry analysis strengthened the interdialect cognates and the same language status between the isolects

The aim of this study is to describe about the meaning components of the household appliance lexemes in BTMDLL and its semantic functions. A descriptive method was used in order to get the data from the field research by recording, interview and writing. The results show that the meaning components of the BTMDLL household appliance lexemes can be known from the special meaning of each lexeme. The meaning components of each household appliance lexeme of BTMDLL has its own semantic function

INOVASI FONOLOGIS DENASALISASI DALAM ISOLEK BONAI ULAKPATIAN
Get PDFThe paper is aimed at describing a language variation, that is Ulakpatian Bonai isolect in Riau Province. This is a kind of historical linguistic study which is objected to describe a phonological inovation process of denasalisation among nasal phonemes at final positions or at close ultimate sillables in an isolect used by Bonai tribe in Ulakpatian, Rokan Hulu District, Riau Province. Analysis of inavation is based on protomalayic (PM) which is reconstructed by Adelaar.The research applicates top-down method of anaysis which are gaining the results by deductive process. Data of this research are oral speech of Bonai people based on 200 Swadesh words. The data are gathered by conversational and listening methods which applied several techniques. The results of the analysis are presented by formal and informal methods. The research findings reveal that the language of the tribe shows three kinds of denasalisation of phonological innovation at final position which have changed the nasal phonemes of *PM to unnasal ones in isolek Bonai Ulakpatian: (*PM > BU) , i.e. 1) PM *n/-# > []/-#, 2) PM *m/-# > [p]/-#, dan 3) PM * /# > [g]/-#
KORESPONDENSI BUNYI BAHASA LAMPUNG DIALEK TULANGBAWANG
Get PDFThis research discusses the differences of vowel correspondences, vowel, and consonant variations of Tulangbawang dialect of Lampung language in six research areas. The data collecting technique was conducted by applying dialectology method. Moreover, this research used the list of questions that listed in Swadeshs basic vocabularies. The result showed that there are differences in the linguistic elements in Lampung language which include the differences in phonology, morphology, and lexicon. In the phonological differences, it was found that there are one vowel correspondence, eleven vowel variations, and twenty three consonant variations. In general, vowel correspondence lies in the end of words, and the tendency of occurring is found in the research area 1, 3, 4, and 5. All research areas always have similarities but there are various changes for each correspondence in research area number six. In the morphological differences, there are differences in the form of suffixes namely correspondences. Besides, there are some lexical differences found in the six research areas
