Get PDFThe aim of this research is in order to prevent the fading of Dalu-Dalu Kecamatan Tambusai Dialect of Malay language from other regional languages, so that the original language will not extinguish. This research was handled in the middle of April 2004 until finish, in DaluDalu, Kecamatan Tambusai. The material compositions are the theory used, dialect, syntax meaning, language variation, and single sentences, simple sentences, aquivalent compound sentences. The materials were analyzed by using descriptive method. Data collecting technique without statisticts. After doing the research for approximately three months, it can be concluded that Dalu-Dalu dialect of Malay language is used by communiy in communication formally and informally

Get PDFThis research was aimed to shows the intrapersonal conflicts of ―aku‖ in Putut EA's novel, Cinta Tak Pernah Tepat Waktu, by using analytical descriptive method and Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis theory. The relevance between literary studies and psychoanalysis theory was based on the understanding of characters existence as a human in literary text. The analysis shows that the 'Aku' in this novel is experiencing some intrapersonal conflicts, that is, neurosis, psychosis, internal conflict, and depression. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan konflik antarpribadi ―aku‖ dalam novel Putu E.A., Cinta Tak Pernah Tepat Waktu, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis dan teori psikoanalisis Sigmun Freud. Relevansi antara studi sastra dan teori psikoanalisis didasarkan pada pemahaman karakter eksistensi sebagai manusia dalam teks sastra. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa ―aku‖ dalam novel ini mengalami beberapa konflik interpersonal, seperti neurosis, psikoanalisis, konflik internal, dan depresi.Â

Get PDFReading short stories Suku Pompong (Pompong Tribe) and Rumah di Ujung Kampung (House at the End of the Village) is like reading a historical reality that is happening on the ground of Riau Malay. The exploitation of forest resources on a large scale in recent decades in Riau Province has changed the land use of the area of intact forest into plantation area. The exploitation process causes friction in the community. The friction is eventually lead to conflict between communities and plantation companies. Their struggle to resolve conflicts and maintain their ancestral land, the strength of the company that has the license to the land and sadness when the public finally has always been on the losing side. This study objected to describe the objective reality of the Malay community in terms of land conversion, the communal land into plantations and reality of imaginative literature contained in the short stories Suku Pompong dan Rumah di Ujung Kampung. This study applied the sociology of literature approach, while the sociological approach to literature is a literary approach that specializes in reviewing literature by considering the social aspects. Based on these approaches, it can be concluded that short stories Suku Pompong and Rumah di Ujung Jalan are short stories that raised the reality of the Malay community

Get PDFThis study is a qualitative study on 5th grade of primary students competency to write a paragraph. This study aims to describe how the 5th grade students’ ability in writing paragraphs. Qualitative method and purposive sampling data collection are used in this study. The research data is student narrative paragraph from five primary schools in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The student paragraph is classified and then analyzed based on the theory and requirement of good paragraphs. The result of analysis shows that students are able to write narrative paragraph by telling his/her life experience, such as independence day. Besides, students are also able to write paragraph by regarding its coherence and cohesion. However, students still have some difficulties in making a good paragraph, for example, (1) capital letter is still used in all paragraph; (3) more than one main idea is used in a paragraph; (4) the use of conjunction is less precise; et

The character in the novel Pengakuan Pariyem is one of the symbols of people who still uphold the existing culture in their society, that is Javanese. The study of sociology of literature was used to analyze novel Pengakuan Pariyem. Literature is a direct mirror of various social structures, kindship, and others. Therefore, it is the task of sociology of literature to correlate fictional characters and situations created by the author of the historical circumstances of its origins. The purpose of this study is to describe the value of Javanese philosophy of life contained in Unen-Unen in novel Pengakuan Pariyem written by Linus Suryadi. This study used a qualitative design. The results of the research showed that there are three basic principles which used as a basis of Javanese philosophy found in novels Pengakuan Pariyem. By discussing the elements of mythology stories Wewe Merantas Gunung, it is expected to be able to understand what the source of mythology of the story is. It includes four elements of understanding such as the types, characters, functions, and methods of telling the story. The result of the study showed that the source of mythology of the environment of Besemah society itself is hilly. This kind of mythology is a myth that the story is considered really existed by the community, even it is considered to be the taboo matter. The main character is Wewe while the subordinate characters are is the old brother and the middle brother. Reviewing the manuscript could be an interesting matter, especially as a handwriting that has kept various expressions of culture and thought of past culture heritage, and it contains historical elements. As a concrete object, a script is the object of a research for various fields of science, among others: philology, history, archaeology, codicology, and paleography. Each codex contains cultural values, but its form does not appear explicitly, so in order to recognize, it is necessary to carry out a gradual and accurate research. Hence, it is necessary to understand and to recognize seriously the concept of cultural value. The goal is that the concept is not only known as an understanding, but also can be used as guidelines to understand the culture of the people in the past. The purpose of this research is to create a critical issue that can be understood by a wider audience and present the themes contained in the manuscript of Mimpi Syekh Ahmad Makar. It is hoped that the readers can take the wisdom or philosophy contained in the manuscript
