Trend of Students Religiosity Viewed Gender and Background Majors
This study aims to determine the trend of student religiosity in terms of gender and background majors. The research approach uses a quantitative approach to the type of cross-sectional survey. Participants numbered 292 (58 male and 234 female) students in the Faculty of Education taken with non-probability random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a scale. The research instrument used Religiosity Scale for Youth from Hernandez. The test of validity, using the Pearson product-moment correlation, with 37 items that valid and reliability using Cronbach Alpha test with 0893. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive technique and Two Way Anova. The results showed that the trend of religiosity students Including a high category in the aspect of religious belief, and the category is quite high in the aspect of religious activity. The overall dynamics of the diversity of students in the category is quite high, and the majors PLB, PLS, PGSD has a higher category. There is no difference between the gender with religiosity, but female students are higher than males
Overview of Resilience: Study on BIDIK-MISI Scholarship Recipient College Students
This study aims to determine the resilience of BIDIK MISI scholarship recipients. The method used in this research is qualitative method with a case study approach. Respondents were BIDIK MISI scholarship recipients by two students who have criteria(1) Student BIDIK MISI scholarship recipients, (2) have a GPA of 3.50 ± ≥ (3) active in student organizations as well as a proven record in the field of scientific work. The data was collected using interviews, informal interviews, and observation. The data obtained in this study later in descriptive. The data is then analyzed, the detailed answer then coded and identified to get the themes in the study. Resilience students receiving the viewfinder can be seen from the aspect of the mission, meaning fullness, Perseverance, patience, self-reliance, and existential aloneness. Students receiving BIDIK MISI was able to detach himself from the family and economic stressors that students are receiving a personal mission view finder that has a clear purpose in life
Shaping A Student Self Efficacy Academic Through Live Modeling Technique (A Synthesis of Observational Learning in Social Cognitive Theory)
In the perspective of social cognitive theory, humans as an actor that has a cognitive capability to observe, learn, understand, motivate, plan, act and evaluate an achievement or result that has been done. This perspective argues that a human can learn just by observation, although they do not have direct experience to do such specific tasks. This argument has revised a concept of behavioristic about imitation learning Miller and Dollard. Bandura has a viewpoint to have this result in his research with a triadic reciprocal determinism. Peoples has a cognitive function to observe and consideration to make a decision to act in their life circumstance not only reaction form their environment but their also an actor to make their self a decision-maker. So in a learning process, observational learning formed in live modeling. This modeling has an effect of influencing a mindset of the student in their self-belief, such competencies, capabilities to accomplish a task this self-belief known as self-efficacy. In self-efficacy has one source that links with an observational learning process, there is a vicarious experience. This article will describe and discuss a synthesis about live modeling in observational learning, linkage with vicarious experience in self-efficacy, and how to live modeling to shape a student's self-efficacy and a stage in the group counseling process
Application of Group Guidance Service in Improving English Communication of Young Mosque Activist
This research was conducted because of the problems of young mosque activists that did not use English communication correctly. The purpose of this research was to increase the English communication of young mosque activists using Group Guidance Service. The research design was pre-experiment: the one group pretest-posttest that conduct on ten young mosque activists. This research used the liker scale in checklist form, and the research results were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test formula. The result of this research found that there were significant differences in English communication of young mosque activists before and after the treatment using group guidance service
Media Book Stories Regarding Forms of Bullying in Classical Guidance Activities for Elementary School Students
Bullying cases are still rife in the educational environment, including in elementary school education units. Students tend not to understand bullying behavior, so many children think this is normal. Students taunt each other, cheer, make fun of, or joke through physical actions are behaviors that are often carried out by students and are sometimes allowed by adults around them without thinking further about the negative impact. Therefore, students need to get information about bullying related to meaning, type, influence, and how to deal with bullying. Prevention and handling of bullying cases in the school environment not be separated from the involvement of the roles of all parties, namely school policies, teachers, and parents. The existence and function of guidance and counseling teachers in elementary schools to prevent and reduce cases of bullying. Guidance and counseling teachers must be able to think creatively, innovatively in providing services to students to achieve developmental tasks can be fulfilled. One of them is to try to find the right method in delivering essential services regarding bullying cases. The storytelling method using storybook media can be used to explain the picture of bullying to elementary school students. In providing services to students so that efforts to achieve developmental tasks can be fulfilled. One way is to keep trying to find the right method in delivering essential services regarding bullying cases. Compassion Fatigue Resiliency Program to Reduce Compassion Fatigue of Midwifery Students in Muhammadiyah University Sidoarjo
Compassion fatigue is a feeling of distress experienced by individuals due to being immersed in the trauma experienced by the patient. This situation is commonly experienced by social workers or health workers who are intensely dealing with and providing assistance to patients. The purpose of this study was to provide knowledge about compassion fatigue and its handling through resilience techniques. The compassion fatigue resiliency training program was given for two days to 14 students with an average age of 21-22. The training provides an increase in students' knowledge about compassion fatigue and resilience. There was also a higher decrease in student compassion fatigue at follow-up than at the post-test. It can be concluded; participants need time to practice resilience techniques in their daily lives first
Study of Empowerment and Satisfaction to Boost Performance of Worker
The objective of this research is to understand the effect of empowerment and job satisfaction toward job performance of lecturer in Majalengka University, West Java comprehensively. A survey method with path analysis techniques was used by applying a questioner as a research instrument. 80 responders were involved by sending their feedback within the questioner. Those responders were decided using simple random sampling among all lecturers that working at the Majalengka University. The data result, analysis, and interpretation reveal that (1) empowerment has a direct positive effect on job performance, (2) job satisfaction has an immediate positive impact on job performance, (3) empowerment has a direct positive impact on job satisfaction
Emotional Intelligence Review Based on Differences of Parenting Style in High School Students
Emotional intelligence individuals include self-control, resilience, enthusiasm, and abilities to encourage oneself, resilience, and control impulses and emotions. Emotional intelligence has a vital role in one's success, beyond rational or intellectual intelligence. The parenting style of the parents influences the emotional intelligence of a child. One of the factors that influence children's emotional development is the discipline applied by parents. The research objective was to determine the correlation between parenting style with students' emotional intelligence in class XI SMA Santo Thomas 2 Medan. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of ex post facto research. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Santo Thomas 2 Medan with a total o,f 307 students. The data collection technique uses a scale to collect parenting style data for parents and emotional intelligence. The validity test uses expert judgment, and the reliability test uses Alpha Cronbach the technique. The data analysis technique used regression analysis. The results showed that the correlation between parenting style and emotional intelligence was 53.3%. The results of the regression analytic show (1) there is no correlation between authoritarian parenting style and students' emotional intelligence, with a value of r = 0.029 and a significance of p = 0.260. (2) there is no correlation between the authoritative parenting style and students' emotional intelligence, with a value of r = 0.736 and a significance of p = 0.720. (3) there is a negative correlation between parenting style rejecting with students' emotional intelligence, with a value of r = 0.010 and a significance of p = -0.008.
Psychological Dynamics of Patients with Schizophrenia Psychological Disorders Psychological Dynamics Of Schizophrenia Psychological Disorders Patients
The number of people with schizophrenia is increasing every year. Schizophrenia is also a severe psychological disorder. The purpose of the study is to know the dynamics of schizophrenia disorders by knowing the causal factors internally and externally and the interaction of the two factors. The research uses case study methods with a qualitative approach. The number of research participants is one person, namely Ryan, diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2010. Examination using interviews, observations, and several psychological test tools. The results show that some of the factors that influence the emergence of schizophrenia disorders. (1) Internal factors such as personality type, maladaptive coping skills, consumption drugs - especially those containing amphetamine. (2) External factors in the form of parenting patterns and problems encountered. These internal and external factors interact with each other making a person vulnerable to schizophrenia and triggering a relapse. The results of the study can help prevent future schizophrenia disorders through parental psychoeducation and interventions on coping skills and emotional regulation of schizophrenia disorders
Career Decision Making in College Students
This study aims to assess the problem of the student's career decision making. The assessment focused on student decisions that are taken on issues that netted a career in the study of student career readiness and maturity. Retrieving data using the theme documentation studies 642 career counseling college graduate job seekers (Fresh graduate) and of note other researchers who have an interest in the study of career. From the results of scrutiny of the results of the study, researchers chose to study the career decision making as the most critical issue that needs to be studied. Students need to understand the problem of why they need education and work after graduation, find and use information, look for an alternative, choose a destination and make a plan
