ROLE OF COUNSELORS IN MOTIVATING ATHLETES GULAT WEST SUMATRA ON PON XIX
Motivation is one of the most important aspects of sports coaching program. Various facilities for athletes overcoming psychological problems should be held, including counseling program conducted by professional counselors. Athletes sports wrestling West Sumatra PON XIX get motivation increases with counseling by a counselor and motivator of the team during the preparation and training, so we get the result of increased achievement and medal counts for PON XIX. The results showed that counseling provides a constructive role to increase the motivation of athletes wrestling West Sumatra PON XIX
LOCUS OF CONTROL IN LATE ADOLESCENCE: CHARACTERISTICS AND ABILITY OF NEW STUDENTS TO OVERCOME DEPRESSION
The aim of this study is to uncover and gain some factual data about locus of control (LOC) ability to overcome depression in late adolescence. This study was conducted through survey methods on new under-graduate students aged 18 to 21 years old from English Education program in Mathla’ul Anwar University of Banten at first semester of academic year 2015-2016. The result of study showed that majority of the students has internal LOC. The sudents who have external LOC tend to get more depressed than those who pose internal LOC. The numbers of women who get depressed are more than men. The finding also showed positive influence of reading book in gaining capacity of LOC. Depression can be avoided and prevented by spiritual and mental strengthening, such as being closer to God, spending quality time with parents, siblings and friends, doing some new hobbies and activities, getting involved in fun daily activities, and trying to identify sense of fear of being rejected or guilty feelings
STUDENT’S SELF CONCEPT OF DAYAK ETHNIC OF WEST BORNEO
This research purposes describing student’s self concept of Dayak ethnic of West Borneo. The used instrument to identify concept of student self of Dayak ethnic is self’s concept scale that has been valid. This research subjects are 108 dayak students of threesenior high schools. The conducted research procedure is utilizing quantitative research - survey cross-sectional. Sample decision is chosen by convening sampling, that is chosen sample with ease consideration. The data analysis which resorted is percentage. Based on result of research finding, generally, describing student’s self-concept of Dayak ethnic is in very high category, includes perceptual aspect(physical self-concept),conceptual (psychologicalself-concept),and attitudinal. To summarize this research, students of dayak ethnic have very high category of self concept, however, if it is compared with five other ethnic at Pontianak, student’s self concept of Dayak ethnic of West Borneo hold the worst result. APPLICATION OF MASTERING CONTENT SERVICES TO INCREASE MATHEMATIC ACHIEVEMENT OF STUDENT AT CLASS VII SMP NEGERI 2 METRO YEAR 2013/2014
Goals to be achieved by the researchers, is to know the results of the implementation of the mastery content services in improving student achievement of class VII SMP Negeri 2 Metro in the academic year 2013/2014. The study design using action research applied in guidance and counseling services. Subjects in this study, researchers took student class VII SMP Negeri 2 Metro in the academic year 2013/2014. Of the 24 students there are 10 students who experienced low mathematics achievement 41.66%. Results from this study that through mastery of content services provided by BK teachers can improve student achievement class VII SMP Negeri 2 Metro. There is an increase in student achievement in the first cycle seen from the average percentage that is equal to 27.5% and the second cycle by 75%, resulting in an increase of 47.5%.Keywords: mathematics achievement, mastery content services, smp negeri 2 metr
DEVELOPMENT OF SELF ADAPTATION GUIDANCE FOR SMK PRAKERIN STUDENT
Self adaptation is individual skill to react effectively in social connection environment individual in a place. The training guidance self adaptation in prakerin is developed for make counselor easier in the school for give service optimally and prepares students well before prakerin. Research subject is 11 grade of SMK PGRI Pakisaji Malang. The purpose of the research is produce training project self adaptation SMK student in prakerin place. Test effectiveness is done with one group pre-test post test planning. The instrument which is used is self project scale in prakerin with grain validity ≥ 0,3 and reliability alpha Cronbach 0,882. The result of the research show that (1) the project that is developed has complete acceptability and, (2) it has improve of effectively self adaptation SMK student in prakerin place.
SELF CONCEPT, SELF ESTEEM AND SCHOOL SYSTEM: THE STUDY OF COMPARATION BETWEEN FULLDAY SCHOOL AND HALFDAY SCHOOL IN PURWOREJO
Abstract: Self concept and self esteem are two psychological aspects that need to be attention in learning at school because a high of self concept and self esteem can influence students success in their learning. The objective of this research is to know about the differences about self concept and self esteem among elementary students with full day school and half day school system. The method used in this observation is comparison by comparing self concept and self esteem of elementary students with full day and half day system. The population of this research is 3 fullday Islamic elementary schools and 6 halfday Islamic elementary schools. The sample of this research is SD Islam Al-Madina as fullday school and SD Muhammadiyah Purworejo as halfday school. The data is gotten by the scale, observation, interviews and documentation. The result shows that there are no significant differences between self concept (t=0,096 with df :47) and self esteem (t=0,396 with df :47) among student who study in full day school and half day (regular) school system so it means that school system doesn’t influence the quality of self concept and self esteem.Keywords: self concept, self esteem, full day school, half day school.
DIFFERENCES IN THE PREPARATION OF STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES OF HIGH AND LOW IN DEALING WITH NATIONAL EXAM
To pass the examination, the most important thing to be considered by the students is the examination preparation. There are so many kinds of examination faced by the students, one of it is national examination. Therefore, the national examination should be prepared well by the students, school, and parents since it is a tool to measure students competency of achievement which held by education unit in order to obtain learning confession and it is a requirement of finishing education level. This research is aimed to describe and differentiate the preparation of students with high learning achievement and the students with low learning achievement in facing national examination. This is a comparative quantitative descriptive approach supported with interview. The target of the research is students of SMA Adabiah Padang, with 327 students as the population. There are 80 students placed as sample. The research finding reveals that (1) physical preparation of students with high learning achievement and the students with low learning achievement in facing national examination is in well prepared category (2) psychology preparation for both students with high learning achievement and the students with low learning achievement is in well prepared category, (3) the preparation in mastering the learning material for both students with high learning achievement and the students with low learning achievement is in well prepared category,(4) the analysis of t test result reveals that there is a significant difference between students with high learning achievement and the students with low learning achievement of SMA Adabiah Padang.Keywords: Preparation National Examination, Students Learning Achievement
EFFORTS TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION SERVICES IN SMPN 2 METRO IN LESSON 2013/2014
Goals to be achieved researchers that want to know the provision of information services can improve students' learning activities in class VII SMP Negeri 2 Metro Semester Academic Year 2013/2014. The design of this research using action research service. The subject in this study is a Class VII the number of students is 20 students. The results of this study, it can be concluded that the information services in improving student learning activities Class VII SMP Negeri 2 Metro is we can see from this change in behavior of students there is an increase in students' learning activities that occur on the first cycle of 39.5% and the second cycle by 76%, resulting in an increase of 36.5%.Keywords: learning activities, information services, smp negeri 2 metr

EVALUATION OF GROUP COUNSELING PROGRAM ON SMP LABORATORIUM UNIVERSITAS NEGERI MALANG: DISCREPANCY MODEL
Abstract. This study aims to determine the discrepancy between the performance of group counseling program on SMP Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Malang with standards. This study uses a standard of Guidelines for Performance Based Professional School Counselor Evaluation. Standard reads, “the professional school counselor counsels individual students and small groups of students with identified needs/concerns”. This study is an evaluation research using a discrepancy model. The approach used is a systems approach that is focused on the planning, implementation, and evaluation of group counseling programs. Based on the data analysis of evaluation of group counseling program in SMP Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Malang is still far from standard.
