    PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN METODE PRAKTIKUM DENGAN MODEL NHT TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA

    The aims of this study was to know the influence of using practical method with NHT model to the student’s science process skill. This study was a quasi-experimental using pretest-posttest equivalent group design. The samples were VIIE and VIIF class that chosen by purposive sampling. The research data consist of quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative data obtained from the average value of test which analyzed by using t-test and U-test, while the qualitative data obtained from the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of student which analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the student’s science process skill was improve with average N-gain 44,07. The student’s learning activities was improve with average 80,99. Thus, it could be concluded that using practical method with NHT model was influnced to improve the student’s science process skills and the student’s learning activities.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode praktikum dengan model NHT terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental semu dengan desain pretes-postes kelompok ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIE dan VIIF yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian terdiri dari data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif  diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U, sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan proses sains siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata N-gain 44,07. Aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata 80,99. Dengan demikian, penggunaan metode praktikum dengan model NHT berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dan aktivitas belajar siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, keterampilan proses sains, metode praktikum, model NH

    Mastery of material is success rate in achievement destination and target. However the result of observation in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Baradatu, known that students learning outcomes is still low. This research has goal to know effectiveness  of the cooperative learning type numbered head together (nht) model to improve mastery of material and the activity of studying of the student.The design of this research is pretest-posttest non equivalent. The sample was students of class VIIID and VIIIE are selected by clusters of random sampling. The data of this research quantitative and qualitative data. Qualitative data got by average value pretest, posttest, and N-gain that analyzed statistically using uji t. Qualitative data is students learning activity, student response toward the use of NHT model that analyzed in descriptive. The result of research showed that effectiveness  of the cooperative learning type NHT to improve mastery get increasing with average value pretest (42,62); postes (80,21); dan N-gain (0,65). students activity all aspects observed in experiment class increasing that is asking aspect  (78,49%); response (79,57%); discussion (91,40%); giving opinion (76,88%), the high number supported by asking quality, response, and students opinion as the subject in growth and development in humans. In addition most of students gave positive response toward the use of  NHT model the data of question form (100%) students get excited and interested in NHT model and make students more active in discussing. Most of students (90,32%) student gave a positive response to toward the use of  NHT model. So, NHT model can  improve mastery of material and the activity of studying of the student.  Keywords: NHT model, mastery of material , activity of studying of the student, growth and development in humans.    

    EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PREPARAT MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KECAKAPAN BERPIKIR RASIONAL SISWA

    Rational thinking skill is one of the result learning demand which should be owned by each student. The result of observation in class VIII of Junior High School 19 Bandar Lampung was known that student’s rational thinking skill didn’t develop in an optimal fashion yet. Objective of this research is have cognize of efectivity of using biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type in enhancement of student’s rational thinking skill in Plant Tissue Structure and Function Mainly Description. This research is a quasi experiment with pretest-postest non equivalent group design. Samples of research are student class VIII G and VIII H which are chosen by cluster random sampling. Quantitative datas are obtained from average of pretest, posttest, and N-gain which are analyzed statistically using t-testand U-test in 5% confidence degrees through program of SPSS 17. Qualitative datas include student’s learning activities and conceptions of using of biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type in enhancement of student’s rational thinking skill in Plant Tissue Structure and Function Mainly Description.. Result of research shows that largely student give positive conceptions of using of biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type. But then, this case isn’t in line with learning result was gotten by student. The average of student’s rational thinking skill improvement in class experiment is lower than control (experiment=14,63%; control=22,59%). Beside that, percentage average of improvement of student’s activities in all observed aspects in class experiment is also lower than control (experiment=66,67%; control=79,17%). Thereby, using of biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type isn’t effective to enhance of student’s rational thinking skill in Plant Tissue Structure and Function Mainly Description. Keywords: Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type, rational thinking skill, Plant Tissue Structure and Function

    PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN STAD TERHADAP AKTIVITAS BELAJAR DAN PENGUASAAN MATERI OLEH SISWA

    This research was aimed to know the influence of STAD  model in improving student learning activity and material mastery. This study design was pretest-post test non equivalent group. Samples were XIIPA1  and XIIPA2  was chosen by purposive sampling. The data of this research used qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative data was gotten by student learning activity and questionnaire that was analyzed descriptive. The quantitative data were the average of pretest, posttest and N-gain score, there were analyzed by using U-test. The result showed that  the average of student learning activity in experimental class increased by well criteria (80.23). The material mastery also develop, with N-gain average score (67.38). Beside that, the most of students responded positively to the application of the STAD method. Thus, it could be concluded that the application STAD method was influenced significanly to improve the student learning activity and material mastery on the material of digestion system.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model STAD dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Desain penelitian adalah  pretes-postes kelompok non ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XIIPA1 dan XIIPA2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling.  Data penelitian  ini berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif.  Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar dan tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes dan N-gain, kemudian dianalisis dengan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan dengan kriteria baik (80,23) . Penguasaan materi oleh siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata N-gain (67,38). Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model STAD. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan model STAD berpengaruh signifikan terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa pada materi pokok sistem pencernaan makanan.Kata kunci:   aktivitas belajar siswa, model pembelajaran STAD, penguasaan materi, sistem pencernaan makana

    The problems in the learning process at Junior High School 13 Bandar Lampung is still dominating the teacher in the classroom. This results in low student concept mastery. cooperative learning model of STAD type to enable the students to learn so that students can increase mastery of concepts. The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the use of cooperative learning model type STAD significantly affect students mastery of concepts in the subject matter of the respiratory system in humans. (2) the average students mastery concepts using cooperative learning model STAD type of subject matter in the human respiratory system is higher.  (3) students learning activities using cooperative learning model STAD type of subject matter in the human respiratory system is higher. The sample in this study was VIIIC and VIIIE graders who were randomly selected by cluster random sampling technique. The results showed an average N-gain of the experiment class is 50.74 higher than the control class is 32.05. Test t1 to N-gains obtained on the tcount(-5.224) ttable(2.042) so that H0 is rejected. That is an average of N-gain in the experimental class higher than the average N-gain the control class, so that students mastery of concepts can be expressed on the subject matter of the respiratory system in humans using cooperative learning model of STAD type is higher than the model of learning directly.     PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERBIMBING TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA

    This study aimed to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model in improving student scientific process skills (SPS) and learning activities. This study uses a pretest-posttest design non-equivalent groups with a sample of students were class XI IPA2 and XI IPA3 selected the population by purposive sampling technique. This research data were qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were the activities and student's questionnaire responses. Quantitative data was the average SPS scores were analyzed using t-test and U-test.The results showed that the average increase of student’s SPS is 62,93%. The majority of students (90,32%) gave a positive response to the application of guided inquiry learning model. Thus, guided inquiry learning model influential in improving scientific process skills and student learning activities in the subject matter of the reproductive system. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dalam meningkatkan KPS dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pretes-postes kelompok non-ekuivalen dengan sampel kelas XI IPA2 dan XI IPA3 yang dipilih dari populasi dengan teknik purposive sampling.Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif.Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata KPS siswa yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata peningkatan KPS siswa adalah 62,93%. Sebagian besar siswa (90,32%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing.     EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN ANIMASI MULTIMEDIA DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TPS TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGUASAAN MATERI

    The purpose of this study was determine the animation  multimedia and learning model TPS effects  to increasing students  mastery. The research design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent groups. The research samples were students of class XI3 and  XI4  science  selected by using  purposive sampling technique. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of pretest and posttest were statistically analyzed using t-test. Qualitative data activity data and questionnaire responses of student learning was obtained. The results showed that the animation  multimedia significantly influence the improvmant  of  students'mastery of the material with average N-gain is 45.26 and the average of all student’s  activitie in which the animation multimedia was higher. So, the use of animation multimedia  with TPS learning model can effective  students' mastery of the material and student’s  activities. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penggunaan animasi multimedia dengan model pembelajaran TPS terhadap peningkatan penguasaan materi siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok non equivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA3dan  XI IPA4  yang dipilih secara purposive sampling.Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t. Data kualitatif  berupa data aktivitas dan angket tanggapan belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan animasi multimedia berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan penguasaan materi siswa, dengan rata-rata N-gain 45,26 dan rata-rata aktivitas siswa yang menggunakan animasi multimedia lebih tinggi. Sehingga, penggunaan animasi multimedia dengan model pembelajaran TPS efektif  dalam meningkatkan penguasaan materi dan aktivitas siswa.Kata kunci: animasi multimedia, model pembelajaran kooperatif  tipe TPS, penguasaan materi, sistem peredaran darah

    Critical thinking skills (CBC) should be owned by every student. Observations indicate that the CBC eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 19 F Bandar Lampung is not optimal . The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of media realia through cooperative learning model type STAD the critical thinking skills of students in the subject matter of Structure and Function of Plants. The study design was a pretest-posttest non-equivalent. Quantitative data obtained from the value of the pretest, posttest, and N-gain statistically analyzed using t-test with 5% probability level. Qualitative data in the form of student activity data and questionnaire responses realia media students through model type STAD The results showed that the applicability of realia media through type STAD cooperative learning model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. In addition, an increase in students in the experimental class KBK with an average gain of 49.41% N-are the criteria being. The average percentage of student learning activities in all aspects of that observed in the experimental class had sufficient criterion is 43.56%. Most of the students gave a positive response to the use of realia media through STAD cooperative learning model type. Thus, through the use of realia media type STAD cooperative learning model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.Keywords: Media realia, type STAD cooperative learning, CBC, Structure and Function mainly description

    PERBANDINGAN PENGGUNAAN MODEL JIGSAW DAN NHT TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR PADA MATERI EKOSISTEM

    This study was aimed to compare of Jigsaw model and NHT of student learning outcome and student activities. This study design was pretest-posttest non equivalent group. Samples were VIIA  and VIIC, chosen by purposive sampling. The average value of pretest-posttest were analyzed by using U-test and qualitative data which obtained from the learning activities observation sheet.  The results of this research showed that the use of Jigsaw model and NHT was improve learning outcome, but Jigsaw model (N-gain 64.56) was higher and significantly different than NHT (N-gain 57.78). Learning activities Jigsaw was higher than NHT with average 77 (Jigsaw)and 71 (NHT ) with each percentage were give opinions or ideas (Jigsaw 77 and NHT 66), cooperation with friends (Jigsaw 79 and NHT 71), view friends presentations (Jigsaw 83 and NHT 71), ask ability (Jigsaw 82 and NHT 83), answer the questions ability (Jigsaw 67 and NHT 64). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbandingan model Jigsaw dan NHT terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Desain penelitian pretest-posttest kelompok non-equivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIC, dipilih secara purposive sampling. Rata-rata nilai pretest-posttest dianalisis menggunakan uji-U dan data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model Jigsaw dan NHT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, namun penggunaan model Jigsaw (N-gain 64.56) lebih tinggi dan berbeda nyata dibandingkan NHT (N-gain 57.78). Aktivitas belajar Jigsaw lebih tinggi dibandingkan NHT dengan rata-rata 77 (Jigsaw) dan 71 (NHT) dengan persentase masing-masing yaitu mengemukakan pendapat atau ide (Jigsaw 77 dan NHT 66 ), bekerjasama dengan teman (Jigsaw 79 dan NHT 71), memperhatikan presentasi teman (Jigsaw 83 dan NHT 71), kemampuan bertanya (Jigsaw 82 dan NHT 83), kemampuan menjawab pertanyaan (Jigsaw 67 dan NHT 64). Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, ekosistem, hasil belajar, jigsaw, NH

    PENGARUH KARTU BERGAMBAR MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN STAD TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA

    Based on observationin SMAN 3 Kotabumi, student’s critical thinking skill were not optimally developed. Alternative that can be used is picture card media through STAD learning model. This experiment aims to know the improvement of student’s critical thinking skill. This is quasi experiment using pretest posttest group non equivalent design. Sample are students from X3 and X4which selected from population by cluster random sampling method. Quantitative data from the average of pretest, posttest and N-gain which statistically analyzed with t-test using SPSS 17. Qualitative data are student’s critical thinking skill description, learning activities and student’s response about using picture card through STAD model which descriptively analyzed. Result of this experiment showed that student’s critical thinking skill improved significantly in giving reason (48,07%), reconstructing argument (54,28%) and looking for similarity and difference (42,73%). The student’s learning activities in all observed aspects is improved.  Student’s activities in teamwork (89,22%), doing discussion (86,27%) and presenting group discussion result (84,31%). The students also give positive response about usingpicture card through STAD model. So, student’s critical thinking skill improved significantly by using picture card through STAD learning model.   Keywords:  picture card media, STAD learning model, critical thinking skill, Protista
