    THE COMPARISON OF LEARNING MODEL BETWEEN TWO STAY TWO STRAY AND GALLERY WALK CONCERNING ON STUDENTS’ CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY IN EXCRETION SYSTEM SUBJECT

    The objective of this research was to find out the students’ critical thinking ability through TSTS and GW model in excretion system subject and students activity in teaching leaning process.The design of this research was pretest-posttest non equivalent. The research sample was students of XI IPA 1 as the first experimental class and XI IPA 2 as the second experimental class that was taken by cluster random sampling technique. The quantitative data was taken from pretest and posttest score and also N-gain that was analyzed by t-test on the level accurate of 95%. The qualitative data was the students’ critical thinking ability, data of students’ learning activities and questionnaire of students’ reaction on TSTS and GW model.The result of this research shown that TSTS model has been more increasing students’ critical thinking ability than GW model, it was shown by N-gain score on TSTS class (44,03) while in the GW class (32,30). The highest increasing indicator of students’ critical thinking ability was giving argument (32,74%), while the highest GW indicator was doing deduction (31,15%). The average of students’ activity in TSTS class was 84.44 while in GW class was 77,51.     PENGGUNAAN LEMBAR KERJA SISWA BERBASIS KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS

    This research was aimed to know the effect of  student work sheet (SWS) based science process skill (SPS) towards student SPS. This research design was pretest-post test non-equivalent group. Samples were VIIC and VIIF that was chosen by purposive sampling. Quantitative data was obtained from the average value of test and analyzed by using t-test and U-test. Qualitative data was description of  student SPS, learning activities data and questionnaire responses were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students SPS was still low, it was proofed by pretest average 13.07; post test average 25.75; and N-gain average 0.15. N-gain average on observation skils 0.17; interpretation skill 0.08; and communication skill 0.33. Whereas students average of learning activities was 60.25% with middle criteria. Beside that, the most of students (92.5%) gave postive responsed towards SWS based SPS. Thus, learning used SWS based SPS was influenced not significantly to improve students SPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis  keterampilan proses sains (KPS) terhadap KPS siswa. Desain penelitian adalah  pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel yaitu kelas VIIC dan VIIF yang dipilih secara  purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan U. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi KPS, data aktivitas belajar, dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KPS siswa masih rendah yang dibuktikan dengan rata-rata pretes 13,07; rata-rata postes 25,75; dan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,15. Rata-rata N-gain pada keterampilan observasi 0,17; keterampilan interpretasi 0,08; dan keterampilan komunikasi sebesar 0,33. Sedangkan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 60,25%  yang berkriteria sedang. Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa (92,5%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap LKS berbasis KPS. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis KPS berpengaruh tidak signifikan dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa. Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, KPS, LKS berbasis KPS

    PENGARUH MEDIA AUDIO-VISUAL MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE KANCING GEMERINCING (TALKING CHIPS)

    Observation on 7th grade at Junior High School of 5th Bandar Lampung reveals that the critical thinking ability and the material mastery were not optimal due to teacher-centered oriented learning. Therefore it is necessary to develop media and learning model study. To resolve it, the research using audio-visual media and talking chips model was conducted. The research design that used in this research is pre-test post-test non-equivalent. Samples used are 7 D and 7F class chosen by cluster random sampling method. Quantitative data obtained from pretest and posttest scores and N-gain which analyzed using t-test. Qualitative data gained from questionnaire regarding student response on audio-visual media through talking chips model which analyzed descriptively. Result of the research reveals that the average of critical thinking skill and material mastery of subject matter of the experimental class on all indicators (critical thinking skills N-gain 26,79%, material mastery N- gain 28,46%). Moreover, 87.50% students give positive response on audio-visual media through talking chips learning model. Therefore, the using of audio-visual media through talking chips has a positive influence significant on increasing the critical thinking skill and material mastery of the student.  Keywords: audio-visual media, talking chips, critical thinking skill, material mastery.

    PERBANDINGAN PENGGUNAAN METODE DEMONSTRASI DENGAN METODE PRAKTIKUM TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA

    This study aimed to compare the effect of applying the method demonstration with practical methods to increase cognitive and affective learning outcomes of students. Design of this research was a pretest - posttest non equivalent. Samples of research were student of class VIIC and VIID  selected by cluster random sampling. The research data was quantitative data obtained from the average value of the results of the cognitive and affective aspects of learning then statistically analyzed using t-test and test U. The results showed that the practical application of methods to increase learning outcomes rather than methods of demonstration, with an average pretest score (-1.30), the value of post-test (5.29), and N-gain (8.37).  While improving student learning outcomes in the affective methods practicum occurs in all aspects of the craft aspect percentage value (82.09%); the activity (83.11%); the courtesy (78.38%), the ability to express opinions (78.72%) and the aspects of cooperation with friends (75.00%).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan pengaruh penerapan metode demonstrasi dengan metode praktikum terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif dan afektif siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIC dan VIID yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuatitatif diperoleh dari nilai rata-rata hasil belajar aspek kognitif dan afektif kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada penerapan metode praktikum hasil belajar mengalami peningkatan daripada metode demonstrasi, dengan rata-rata nilai pretes (-1,30); nilai post test (5,29); dan N-gain (8,37). Sedangkan peningkatan hasil belajar afektif siswa pada metode praktikum terjadi dalam semua aspek dengan persentase pada aspek kerajinan bernilai (82,09%); keaktifan (83,11%); kesopanan (78,38%); kemampuan mengemukakan pendapat (78,72%) dan aspek bekerjasama dengan teman (75,00%).Kata kunci :  hasil belajar, metode demonstrasi, metode praktikum, penggunaan mikrosko
