The Importance of Character Education To Prevent Discrimination Between Religious People in The Community
Get PDFCharacter education is an attempt to make individual self-perfection understand and understand ethical and moral values so that when they do everything they know the limits and rules so as not to cause unrest for others around them. Character education does not only apply to the school environment, but character education is also very important to be taught in social life. Because it is precisely in life in society that there are so many differences that arise, ranging from religious beliefs, opinions, goals and so on. Discrimination also often occurs in society, especially discrimination caused by differences in religion and belief, which causes harmony and tolerance in the community to be lower. The purpose of this research is to find out what causes discrimination between religious communities in society and to know the importance of character education for residents in the community so that there are no cases of discrimination between religious communities. This research uses qualitative methods, namely the data collection techniques literature review reviews that come from journal articles, books and so on. The results of this study include knowing and understanding the causes of discrimination between religious communities in the community, understanding the importance of character education in society and what solutions are taken to prevent discrimination between religious communities in the community.Keywords : character education; discrimination; religious people
Freedom of Expression in the Digital Era
Get PDFFreedom of expression has been provided in the Constitution nad the law, freedom of expression is not without limits, but freedom expression has limits. This freedom of expression is part of the recognaition of human rights and is an indicator of a democratic country. The time goes by the expression of opinions has shifted, namely by using social media. The method used in this research is literature review, literature review data is literature study. The purpose of this study is to determine the freedom of expression by people in the digital era, then to find out how to convey opinions and expression based on ethics. The results obtained are rampant hate speech as a result of freedom of expression, hate speech can be overcome by digital ethics by paying attention to the rights of other, using good and polite language, people need to understand the essence of respecting differences of opinion and spreading things that are useful and filter the content found. Improving Student Character in the Digital Era through Citizenship Education Based on Local Wisdom
Get PDFThis article aims to describe the application of Citizenship Education based on local wisdom to improve the character of the nation in the digital era through Citizenship Education based on local wisdom with the values of Pancasila as the basis of the state. As is known, in the current era with increasingly developing technology, cultures from outside that are not in accordance with the values of Pancasila and national culture easily enter without any filter first. The research method used is a literature review research method in accordance with the problems discussed. The results of the study show that in the current era, Citizenship Education based on local wisdom is needed by applying the values of Pancasila as an effort to filter out external cultures that are not in accordance with the national personality, especially for students who, at their age, want to seek attention and explore themselves. Zoom Fatigue on Teacher and Student’s Communication Pattern
Get PDFThe Covid-19 pandemic keep on increase and has an impact on various aspects of life, including aspects of education. Which is student and teacher at Senior High School (SHS). There is a government policy, Circular Letter of the Ministry of Education and Culture Number 15: 2O2O about Guidelines for Organizing Learning From Home an Emergency Period for the Spread of Corona Virus D/Sease (COVID-19). Which causes schools to be implemented using video conference (such as zoom meetings, google meets, etc.). Learing by video conference made some effect, one of them is Zoom Fatigue. Zoom fatigue have a chance to affect the effectiveness of massage. So, the purpose of this study is to analyze the communication patterns that occur if there is zoom fatigue on teachers and students in the city of Bandung. This research uses a descriptive analysis research method with a qualitative approach by analyzing data with Miles and Huberman model to 5 teachers and 5 student. The results of this study found that students and teachers had some significant differences regarding fatigue, boredom, and learning anxiety through video conferencing.Keywords: communication pattern; online learning; zoom fatigue
The Urgency of Women's Rights in Political Leadership Through Feminism Perspective
Get PDFHuman rights are a concept that is upheld by the state, one of which is women's rights in politics. The relatively low participation of women in political leadership is due to the still strong male dominance in politics. This is of course due to the substance of setting values, perspectives, and work patterns of unequal competition between men and women. So that the recognition of women's human rights in political leadership tends to be ignored. This study aims to determine the importance of women's human rights in politics through the perspective of feminism. The method used is the method of literature review or literature review from various sources in the form of journals and references that support the research. The results of the study show that women's rights in political leadership already exist even though they are not yet fully organized and this is growing along with the increasingly fierce political atmosphere in Indonesia. In this case, the feminist movement has played a very important role in changing the practice of government from which originally favored the position of men, to a government order that involved women in politics.Keywords: women's human rights; leadership; politics; feminism
KH. Muntaha Al- Hafidz, Pelopor Pendidikan Islam Modern di Wonosobo Tahun 1962-2004
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) Latar belakang kehidupan KH. Muntaha Al-Hafidz yang mempengaruhi pemikirannya di bidang pendidikan Islam. (2) Pemikiran KH. Muntaha Al-Hafidz tentang pendidikan Islam modern. (3) Peran KH. Muntaha Al-Hafidz dalam pengembangan lembaga pendidikan modern di Wonosobo tahun 1962-2004. (4) Dampak pemikiran KH. Muntaha Al-Hafidz dalam perkembangan pendidikan Islam tahun 1962-2004.Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode historis guna dapat merekonstruksi peristiwa sejarah pada periode waktu tertentu. Penggunan metode historis dilakukan dengan melewati beberapa tahap yang terdiri dari heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Sumber data dalam penelitian terdiri dari sumber primer dan sekunder. Sumber primer yang digunakan berupa hasil wawancara dengan tokoh terdekat KH. Muntaha Al-Hafidz dan dokumen yang berkaitan dengan lembaga pendidikan yang didirikannya. Sumber sekunder yang digunakan berupa buku beserta jurnal yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan topik penelitian.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Latar belakang pendidikan, keluarga, sosial, dan ekonomi mempengaruhi pemikirannya dalam mengembangkan lembaga pendidikan Islam. (2) Pemikiran modernisasi Islam oleh KH. Muntaha Al-Hafidz menitikberatkan pada penggabungan ilmu pengetahuan umum dan agama dengan merujuk pada Al-Qur’an. (3) Pranan KH. Muntaha Al-Hafidz dalam pengembangan pendidikan Islam terlihat dengan didirikannya sekolah formal sebagai pendamping pendidikan pondok pesantren. (4) Pemikiran KH. Muntaha Al-Hafids akan modernisasi lembaga pendidikan Islam melahirkan tatanan sosial baru dalam masyarakat dan keterpaduan lembaga pendidikan Islam
Existency of Mandailing Batak Democracy in Maintain the Harmonization of Indigenous Communities
Get PDFEach region must have a history of democracy brought by the elders in their respective regions. The democracy of the mandailing community, for example, has existed and developed for many years, but the democracy of the mandailing community is starting to be threatened because it is affected by globalization. Therefore, this paper aims to determine the democracy of the Mandailing community and how to maintain its existence. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach. This research was also conducted by means of a literature study. The type of data used by the author in this study is primary data and then secondary data obtained from journals, documentation books and the internet. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the existence of the Mandailing Batak democracy is successful and able to remain a bridge and maintain harmony in the diversity that the Mandailing tribe has. This is inseparable from the role of traditional leaders and religious leaders as well as community leaders who work together to maintain diversity and create a unique union from their democracy, and that is capable of developing a country from regional or traditional democracy and achieving the goals of democracy for the welfare of its people.Keywords: democracy; mandailing batak; indigenous people
PENGARUH FINANCIAL LITERACY TERHADAP PERILAKU KONSUMTIF SISWA SMA MUHAMMADIYAH PROGRAM KHUSUS (PK) KOTTABARAT SURAKARTA
Get PDFABSTRACTThe objective of this research is to investigate the effect of financial literacy on the students consumptive behavior at the State Senior Secondary School Muhammadiyah Program Khusus (PK) Kottabarat of Surakarta in Academic Year 2016/2017. This research used the quantitative descriptive research method. The population of the research was the students of the mathematical and natural sciences and the social science program of state senior secondary school of Muhammadiyah Program Khusus (PK) Kottabarat of Surakarta in Academic Year 2016/2017. The sample of the research were 2 classes of the school because the population was only 44. The data of the research were gathered through test and questionnaire. The former was for the financial literacy value, and the latter was for the consumptive behavior score respectively. The result of the research shows that the financial literacy has appositive and significant influence of consumptive behavior, it based on the result of tcount 2,407 > ttable 2.048 with significance value 0,023. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA dan X IPS Sma Muhammadiyah Program Khusus (PK) Kottabarat Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Sampel diambil dari keseluruhan populasi karena jumlah populasi hanya 44 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan angket, tes digunakan untuk mengetahui nilai financial literacy dan angket digunakan untuk menilai skor perilaku konsumtif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa financial literacy memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif, hal ini didasarkan pada perolehan thitung 2,407 > ttabel 2,048 dan nilai signifikansi 0,023. Hasil analisis regresi sederhana diperoleh persamaan Y= 53,721 + 1,803 X.Kata Kunci: Financial Literacy, Perilaku Konsumtif, Financial Knowledge, Financial Behavio
KONTRIBUSI ETIKA ISLAM PADA PENDIDIKAN POLITIK: SOLUSI BAGI PROBLEMA CIVIL SOCIETY INDONESIA ERA REFORMASI
Get PDFABSTRACT Paying attention to the gap between the fenomenal discource dan movement of civil society in the Indonesian politics in 1990s and its anomali movement in the reformation era, has been be studied the problems of Indonesian civil society in such era using documents and decriptive and critical analysis in order to be sought its ways out using reflective analysis. Instead of being strong, Indonesian civil society in the reformation era really weakened. The civil society those formerly had autonomy were coopted by the state when their leader got power. The leaders themselves looked inconsistent in democratic culture. Moreover, civil society grew as a mean of struggle for power, and when the power was in hand they coopted the state. Besides, the public civility collapsed and the new primordialism, such as etnic nationalism, communalism, and religious sectarianism, appeared. As a solution to civil society’s weakness, is absolutely needed their empowerment through political education prioritizing Islamic ethics based on civic values: civility, autonomy, self-help, self-sufficiency, and social contract. Civility is an ethical solution for solving problems of anomalous growth of civil society as a mean of struggle for power, collapse of public civility, and leader’s inconsistency in public civility. Autonomy, self-help, and self-sufficiency are ethical solutions for solving the problem of civil society being coopted by the state when their leader gets power. Moreover, social contract is an ethical solution for solving the problem of civil society coopting the state.Keywords: etika Islam, civil society, era reformas

The authority of regional leader always represents two functions, as the instrument of central government and local government. Regional leader is a significant component for the success of national development program and is a managerial figure who determines the effectivenessof local government’s goal achievement. Therefore, local governance process is synergistically determined by the role of regional leader; so that the leadership of regional leader within the bureaucracy plays an important role in building strong governance. Surakarta under the leadership of JokoWidodo as the Mayor and FX.Hadi Rudyatmo as the Deputy Mayor is a good model of regional leaderthat succeed in managing the district of Surakarta. The success is marked by so many achievements and awards received by the district of Surakarta.
