ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN ARGUMENTASI SISWA PADA MATERI FUNGSI DI KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 6 PALU : Analysis Of Argumentation Ability Students On Functional Materials In Class VIII Smp Negeri 6 Palu
The aim of this study was to obtain a description of the analysis of the argumentation abilities of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Palu on function. This type of research is descriptive research type. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were three students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 6 Palu for the 2021/2022 academic year. Students at a high level of mathematical ability have good argumentation skills because they are able to state what information is in the problem and at each step of completion (Data), are able to provide statements to solve a problem (Claim), are able to show data as well as provide evidence that is able to support statement put forward (Warrant), and able to reject the statement and explain the conditions under which the statement is not valid (Disclaimer). Students at the moderate level of mathematical ability have fairly good argumentation skills because they are able to provide statements to solve a problem (Claim), are able to show data as well as provide evidence that is able to support the statements put forward (Warrant). Students at low ability levels have less argumentation skills because they have not provided enough information about what is in the problem and at each step of completion (Data), have not been able to provide statements to solve a problem (Claim), have not been able to provide evidence capable of supporting statements made stated (Warrant), and also has not been able to provide an explanation of the conditions under which the statement is not valid (Rebuttal)
PROFIL PENYELESAIAN SOAL PADA MATERI LUAS PERMUKAAN KERUCUT OLEH SISWA KELAS IX SMP NEGERI 1 KASIMBAR: Profile for Solving HOTS Questions On The Cone Surface Area Material by Students of Class IX SMP Negeri 1 Kasimbar
This study aims to profile the completion of HOTS questions on the conical surface area material by SMP Negeri 1 Kasimabar students based on differentiated cognitive levels. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 2 students of different genders taken from class IX SMP Negeri 1 Kasimbar. The research subjects were one student with high mathematics ability with female gender (LN), and one student with high mathematics ability with male gender (MS). The data collection techniques in this study were written tests and in-depth interviews. The test given to the research subjects was a HOTS problem test on cone surface area material at the cognitive level of analyzing (C4). The results of this study indicate that the profile of solving HOTS problems on the surface area of the cone by students with high mathematics ability LN at the cognitive level of analyzing is correct, because the subject can distinguish information, organize by creating a structure in systematic problem solving and attribute by making conclusions based on the information obtained very well. While the profile of HOTS problem solving of cone surface area by MS high mathematics ability students at the cognitive level of analyzing is good, because MS subjects are also able to distinguish information and organize by creating structures in systematic problem solving, it's just that at the stage of attributing MS subjects are still lacking, because at the stage of attributing
PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PENEMUAN TERBIMBING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII D SMP NEGERI 9 PALU PADA MATERI SEGITIGA: Application Of The Guided Discovery Learning Model To Improve The Learning Outcomes Of Clas VIII D Students at SMP Negeri 9 Palu On Triangle Material
This study aims to describe the application of the guided discovery learning model in improving the learning outcomes of class VII D students of SMP Negeri 9 Palu on triangle material.Based on the results of the final action test, the percentage of students 'classical learning completeness in cycle I was 64.28% and the percentage of students' classical learning completeness in cycle II was 92.59%, while the results of teacher and student observations in cycle I were in the good category and at cycle II is in the very good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that learning by applying the guided discovery learning model can improve the learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 9 Palu in triangular material by following the steps (1) stimulation: giving students an explanation of the triangular material contained in LKPD. (2) problem formulation: directing students to find their own triangle material by asking students to observe and identify the problems contained in the LKPD and make hypotheses. (3) data collection: students are asked to look for references related to triangular material, then write down the information contained in the given problem carefully. (4) data processing: after data collection, further data processing is required, students process the data that has been collected by discussing the process used to find problems in the LKPD. (5) verification: students are asked to formulate conclusions and then match them with the formulation of the problem given whether the formulation of the conclusions made answers the given problem and whether the results obtained are in accordance with the hypotheses made have been proven or not. and (6) generalization: involving students in class discussions and concluding the material that has been studied
PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING DENGAN BERBANTUAN VIDEO PEMBELAJARAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMP KATOLIK PALU: The Implementation Of Discovery Learning Model With The Assistance Of Video Learning On Spatial Structures Material To Improve Learning Outcomes Of Eight Grade Students In Palu City
This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes by using the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by learning videos on building material for grade VII students of Palu Catholic Junior High School. This research is Classroom Action Research using a quantitative & quality approach. The subjects of this study were class VIIIA students totaling 23 students consisting of 13 male students and 10 female students with diverse abilities. This research was carried out in two cycles. The application of the Discovery Learning learning model with the help of learning videos that can improve the learning outcomes of grade students of Palu Catholic Junior High School. This is shown from the completeness of individual students in the first cycle as many as 17 out of 23 students with a class average score of 79.34 and a classical percentage of 73.91%, who took the test increased to 20 out of 23 students with a class average score of 90.21 and the classical percentage is 86.95%, who took the test in cycle II, so that the success indicators set have been achieved and have reached the KKM standard that has been set at Palu Catholic Junior High School, which is 80
PROFIL PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SISWA KELAS VIII G SMP NEGERI 3 PALU PADA MATERI STATISTIKA DITINJAU DARI JENIS KELAMIN: Conceptual Understanding Profile of Class VIII G Students at SMP Negeri 3 Palu in Statistics Subject Based on Gender
This research aims to obtain a description or portrayal of the conceptual understanding of 8th-grade students in class G at SMP Negeri 3 Palu in solving statistics problems, with a focus on gender differences. This study adopts a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach. The research subjects are 8th-grade students in class G at SMP Negeri 3 Palu. Data were collected through written tests and interviews. The results of this research indicate that male students have a better conceptual understanding compared to female students based on conceptual understanding indicators. Male students can fulfill four out of five indicators, while female students fulfill three out of five conceptual understanding indicators. Both male and female students can articulate the concepts of mean, median, and mode in their own words. They can present data in table form with the correct arrangement. Male and female students can solve mean problems using appropriate algorithms. Male students can classify modes, whereas female students struggle to classify modes accurately. Both male and female students find it challenging to associate the concept of median with the concept of mean

This study aims to analyze the problem solving ability of students with extroverted and introverted personalities in solving arithmetic ranks and series problems in class VIII SMPN 2 Lembo using Polya's steps. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 4 students taken from 25 students in class VIII of SMPN 2 Lembo. The research subjects were one student with extroverted personality type for very high level (VKL), one student with extroverted personality type for low level (AGT), one student with introverted personality type for very high level (PJL), one student with introverted personality type for low level (JFCT). The results showed that the analysis of the problem solving ability of extroverted and introverted students in solving story problems of arithmetic rows and series, namely: 1) on the indicator of understanding the problem, very high ability extroverted VKL and introverted PJL students are able to explain and mention the information known and asked in the problem, but low ability extroverted AGT and introverted JFCT students need to read the problem several times to understand the problem, 2) indicators of making plans, very high ability extroverted VKL and introverted PJL students are able to make plans using the information they get, but low ability extroverted AGT and introverted JFCT students do not know the formula to be used in the story problem and in making plans cannot relate and complete between what is known and asked so that they cannot choose a strategy that suits the problem, 3) in the third indicator, very high ability students VKL extroverts and PJL introverts are able to carry out the solution plan appropriately and PJL introverts are very thorough in completing the solution plan, while low ability students AGT extroverts and JFCT introverts cannot solve the problems given appropriately. 4) at the stage of re-examining the answer, extrovert VKL, introvert PJL, and introvert JFCT re-examine the answer before collecting, but extrovert AGT students do not re-examine their answers before collecting
PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI LUAS PERMUKAAN DAN VOLUME BALOK DI KELAS VIII A SMP NEGERI 11 PALU: Application Of Problem Based Learning Model To Improve Students' Learning Outcomes On The Material Of Surface Area And Volume Of Cubodits In Class Viii A Smp Negeri 11 Palu
This study aims to describe the application of Problem Based Learning model to improve student learning outcomes on surface area and volume of thebeam material in VIIIA SMP Negeri 11 Palu class. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with reference to the research design Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, ie 1) planning, 2) implementation of action and observation, and 3) reflection. This study was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this research is the students of class VIII ASMP Negeri 11 Palu hammer registered in the academic year 2018/2019 which amounted to 23 students, 14 female students and 9 male students. Data collection techniques are observation, test, interview, and field notes. In cycle I the number of complete students ie 13 students with a percentage mastery of 56,52% and in cycle II many students who completed the 19 students with 82,6% complete percentage. The results of this study show that the application of Problem Based Learnig (PBL) model can improve student learning outcomes of VIII A SMP Negeri 11 Palu by following PBL phases: 1) student orientation on the material problem cubes and beam especially surface area and volume of the beam 2) organize students to learn by forming cooperative learning groups, 3) developing independent student and group research, 4) developing and presenting the work, and 5) analyzing and evaluating problem solving
ANALISIS PEMECAHAN MASALAH PERSAMAAN NILAI MUTLAK SISWA SMA NEGERI 1 PAMONA SELATAN BERDASARKAN LANGKAH POLYA DITINJAU DARI GAYA KOGNITIF: Analysis Of The Absolute Value Equation Problem Solving Of Students Of State Senior High School 1 Pamona Selatan Based On Polya's Steps Reviewed From Cognitive Style
The objectives of this research are; (1) to obtain a description of the problem solving of class X MIPA1 students who have the FI cognitive style in solving the absolute value equation at SMA Negeri 1 Pamona Selatan, (2) to obtain a description of the problem solving of class X MIPA1 students who have the FD cognitive style in solving the value equation absolutely in SMA Negeri 1 Pamona Selatan. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were 2 students taken from 20 students of class X MIPA1 SMA Negeri 1 Pamona Selatan who took the GEFT test. The results of this study indicate that students' problem solving with field independent cognitive style is based on Polya's steps, namely; (1) in understanding the problem, the field independent subject can write down completely what is known and asked in the question correctly, (2) at the planning stage, the field independent subject can relate the things that are known and asked in the question, so that in making problem-solving planning field independent subjects make plans correctly, (3) at the stage of implementing the problem-solving plan field independent subjects can perform calculations properly and correctly, (4) at the stage of rechecking the answers field independent subjects are able to recalculate the answers they get and able to provide conclusions on the answers obtained. The results of student problem solving with field dependent cognitive style are: (1) in understanding the field dependent subject problem can write completely what is known and asked in the question correctly, (2) at the stage of making field dependent subject planning is able to plan problem solving but inaccurate, (3) at the stage of implementing the problem-solving plan, the field dependent subject could not do the calculations correctly, (4) at the stage of re-examining the answers, the field dependent subject did not re-examine the answers obtained and did not provide conclusions on the answers he had obtained. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the FI subject carried out the four Polya steps in solving the absolute value equation problem solving, in contrast to the FD subject who only performed Polya's three steps in solving the absolute value problem solving
PROFIL KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA OPERASI HITUNG BENTUK ALJABAR KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 14 PALU: Profile of Students’ Mathematical Communication Skills in Solving Story Problems of Arithmetic Operations of Algebraic forms in Class VII SMP Negeri 14 Palu
This study aims to obtain a description of the profile of students' mathematical communication skills in solving story problems of arithmetic operations of algebraic forms in class VII SMP Negeri 14 Palu. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study consisted of 3 students, 1 high ability student, 1 medium ability student, and 1 low ability student. Data collection techniques used tests and interviews. Data analysis was carried out using 3 stages, namely: data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that high ability subjects achieved four indicators of mathematical communication ability in solving story problems of arithmetic operations of algebraic forms, medium ability subjects achieved four indicators of mathematical communication ability in solving story problems of arithmetic operations of algebraic forms but not all indicators could be explained verbally, and low ability subjects achieved three indicators of mathematical communication ability in solving story problems of arithmetic operations of algebraic forms and not all indicators could be explained verbally
MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII BMTs NURUL FALAH PALUPADA MATERI UNTUNG DAN RUGI MELALUI PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN REALISTIC MATHEMATIC EDUCATION (RME): Improving Student Learning Outcomes Of Class Viib Mts Nurul Falah Palu On Profit And Loss Material Through The Application Of The Realistic Approach Mathematic Education (Rme)
This research intends to describe the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approach to profit and loss material of the VII B grade at MTs Nurul Falah Palu. This type of classroom action research (PTK). Design used in this classroom action research was Arikunto’s that consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The Subject of this research were 20 students of class VII B MTs Nurul Falah Palu. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that in the final test cycle I there were 11 students who completed and 9 students did not complete with a percentage of classical learning completeness reaching 55%, while in cycle II there were 16 students completing and 4 students not completing with a classical learning completeness percentage reaching 80%. The observation results in cycle I showed that the activities of teachers and student groups were in the good category, while in the second cycle the activities of teachers and student groups were in the very good category. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education learning approach can improve student learning outcomes on the profit and loss material of class VII B grade at MTs Nurul Falah Palu through the following steps:1) understanding the contextual problems, in this stage the teacher presented contextual problems in LKPD and students discuss in their groups to understand the problems given by the teacher, 2) Explaining the problem, the teacher provides help if its needed in the form of questions that can direct students to solve problems 3) solving the problem, students in each group work together to solve the problems through following working steps of LKPD 4) comparing, and discussing the answer, each of group representative presents their answer in order from problem solving and the other member of group compare the answer they have to answer presented by the other group, 5) concluding, teacher guided students to conclude material they just learn.
